From the original tin ceilings to the handmade tiles, Uptown Indigo is a truly unique wedding venue. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000 square foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with original historic elements. It is fully accessible with a vintage elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. Housed in the beautifully restored 1907 historic Cleveland County Courthouse, the Earl Scruggs Center offers a variety of services and spaces for all types of special events. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.

Appalachian View provides stunning eastern and western views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the south side of Sugar Mountain. As natives to North Carolina and these mountains, Cathy and Dale Buchanan have enjoyed this area for years - a cabin, time with family and friends, hiking the Appalachian Trail... Here we have hosted weddings for special people in our lives. Consequently, we decided to build on these 75 acres a venue to be able to share this beautiful location with others.
