The Tavern (Groom's Tavern) has its original barn beams as this was at one time a bank barn. The rustic charm matches the rod iron chandeliers in the room leading to the tavern. Today the owners have renovated all the rooms in the building but, kept the rustic charm. Artemis features a historical ballroom with stadium seating and one of a kind light fixtures. We also have a new outdoor space called The Courtyard coming to Artemis and Terrapin Station this year, giving your rental indoor/outdoor capabilities. Welcome to Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn. Constructed in 1817, Wilson’s Bittersweet Barn was built prior to the civil war and was likely used as a staging area during the Battle of Gettysburg. This aged brick structure is a unique architectural masterpiece that has withstood the test of time. We specialize in Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and gatherings of various sizes.
