About this venue
Steeped in rich history, the Mansion dates back to 1726 and is featured on the National and Pennsylvania State historic registries. This elegant, mountain stone landmark, situated on mostly wooded acres, is surrounded by several semi-formal outdoor garden rooms. Voted by the readers of Harrisburg Magazine’s "Simply The Best Readers’ Poll" as the Best Wedding Venue for 24 consecutive years. The Peter Allen House’s award-winning facilities can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 275 guests.

Nestled up to the Mansion, our smaller tent is perfect for events 150 guests and under.
Our standard tent offers a true focus on the Historic Mansion itself. Immerse your guests in the history of the home as they circle through for dinner service and desserts.

Our standard tent is situated on stone pavers, with 3 entrances/exits. Your guests will immediately be welcomed into the tent as they ascend the stone stairway from the parking area. They can move through to the Mansion from 2 separate entrances on the beautiful, large front and side porches. This tented area connects seamlessly to the cocktail area, and is perfect for our more intimate guest counts of 150 and below. Can also be used as a ceremony rain plan as needed.

Our Mountain View ceremony space creates a beautifully framed background that changes with the seasons.
This space is perfectly placed, right off our cocktail area. Your guests will enjoy a beautiful view of the Appalachian mountains in the distance.

Our Waterfall View ceremony space incorporates not only the waterfall, but our stone pond, and and the beautiful color of the season's landscaping.
This ceremony space is on our lower lawn, which allows for more space for a larger wedding.

Awesome venue
The Historic Peter Allen House was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly communicative and responsive, which was so helpful given our short planning timeline. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful foliage and landscaping that provided a stunning natural backdrop for our ceremony and reception. They were able to accommodate our request to host our wedding on short notice, and went above and beyond to ensure our day went off without a hitch. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, well-managed venue to celebrate our marriage. Highly recommend The Historic Peter Allen House to any couple looking for a stunning, stress-free wedding experience.
Historic and Beautiful
The Historic Peter Allen House is an absolute gem for a wedding venue. Their communication throughout the planning process was prompt, friendly, and extremely helpful. The quality of their work and the overall value is simply gorgeous - the historic charm and lush garden setting created the perfect backdrop for your special day. Between the beautiful bridal and groom suites, the classic Rolls Royce for photos and entrances/exits, and all the other thoughtful amenities, the staff go above and beyond to make your wedding day truly exceptional. The warm, caring team made us feel like we were working with family the entire time. I cannot recommend The Historic Peter Allen House highly enough for couples searching for a truly special and unforgettable wedding venue.

Spring wedding at The Peter Allen House
We had a beautiful micro wedding for 30 people, that felt like a full blown wedding for 200. Frank, Barbara and Christine worked to make everything perfect, and it was beyond our expectations. The venue is gorgeous and the Pintos are so great to work with.
