Starting in 2018, this beautiful new facility is available to the community to rent for gatherings and events. Sleepy Hollow’s Round Barn and Pavilion feature a majestic view of Vermont’s famed Camel’s Hump from the large reception area that can accommodate up to 165 guests. Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Mad River Barn is situated on 17 beautiful acres of gardens, woodlands and streams. Hosting only one event each week allows us to offer a weekend-long destination experience that you & your guests will enjoy and remember forever. On the hill behind the Main Barn, our state-of-the-art post & beam pavilion provides couples with a rustic, elegant space for dinner & dancing on Saturday evening. This space is conveniently located next to the ceremony site and encompasses a stunning pergola. The Main Barn building is home to 8 of 18 inn rooms, as well as both our dining room & pub. Adjacent to the Main Barn is the Farmhouse, housing two bunk-style rooms. Since 1914, the Boyden Family has been farming these majestic Lamoille River valley fields at the intersection of Route 104 and 15 in Cambridge, Vermont. What began as a predominantly dairy farm through the years has evolved into naturally raised beef cattle, field crops, maple production, wine & spirits, weddings and events. Patriarch Fred Boyden and his wife, Diancy have two sons. Mark and David have been ingeniously innovative the last 20 years growing the farm to focus on moving forward in their businesses which continue to enrich the entire farm. Alongside Mark and David are their wives, Lauri and Linda who are instrumental with their own creative additions to the farm and winery with unique ways of keeping Boyden Farm vibrant. Lauri is the venue coordinator at The Barn for all of the exceptional weddings and events. You will find her and her staff working diligently alongside the event vendors to assist in creating a fabulous celebration each and every time.

The grounds of The Promise Gardens contain a cluster of rustic and charming barns, a babbling brook, and breathtaking mountain views. When viewing the property for the first time you can see why the original owners chose this spot to build their lives. The authenticity of these structures has been painstakingly maintained and guarded since 1965. Located in the heart of The Adirondacks, and so close to Lake George, The Promise Gardens is an ideal location for wedding weekends on the lake.
