Kylee Yee is an internationally acclaimed photographer with a fine art, editorial and photojournalistic approach to shooting weddings. Drawing inspiration from the environment as well as the unique connection between the couples she shoots, Kylee uses her artful approach together with her ability to make people feel comfortable, to compose painterly images that are beautiful, honest and romantic. To date, there are only two images of me as a child. The first is my passport photo at the age of 1.5 months, the second is an image of me at the age of 8. Because of this, I have a deeper understanding, value and passion for photographs and imagery. With that said, I purchased my first camera at the age of 16 with my first paycheck! (used to flip burgers at a local Roy Rogers!). With that camera, I quickly learned how much I loved the art of documenting life with imagery and in 2012, I left a 16 year career in healthcare to follow my dream of becoming a photographer. I haven't looked back one day since then.

I've been published in numerous publications and was a winner in PDN Magazine’s Ultimate Music Photo Contest – “Performance.” I have the experience and the passion that enables me to get the best photos. I have the most amazing memories from childhood of being cuddled up with my Granny going through old pictures. The joy and nostalgia that came from those old film photos where everything. My favorite part was always looking up at my Granny as she got lost in each individual memory, seeing her face shape shift in moments of grief over the past and then instant joy because she knew that she could relive that moment as long as she had those photos. Every time I pick up my camera I strive to create tangible moments that will last a lifetime.

I studied photography through high school and then at Bard College, always finding that part of me that only photography seemed to fill. I made photographs for myself, for magazines, for companies and now for many beautiful couples. As I began photographing weddings I quickly realized that this was where the good stuff was. My first foray into photography was with the press, but as the digital era arrived I felt I was not being aware of what was happening around, always looking at the camera.
