I am a Professional Journalist and Wedding Photographer from the Hudson Valley and NYC with more than 11 years and almost 1,000 Weddings of experience, from most cultural and religious backgrounds you can find in New York :) Now Booking 2025 and 2026.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I got married in June of 2022 and couldn't have been happier that Eddie was there to capture our special day! I was a little stressed over the timeline of the day and getting all the photos that I wanted, but even from our pre-wedding phone call, Eddie took all that stress away and I knew everything would run smoothly (and it really did!). Throughout the entire day, he stayed calm , cool and got every shot that I could have hoped for. He was punctual and had a very comforting demeanor. Our photos came out better than we ever expected, but most of all, Eddie made the entire day stress free with his great personality and sense of humor. My bridesmaids to this day- still talk about how much fun and how many laughs we had with Eddie the morning of the wedding. Never one moment of awkwardness. That is something I will never forget!

Warwick, NY

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
I can not articulate how happy I am to have found Jess to capture our wedding. She was extremely professional throughout the process and yet somehow now I feel like we are best friends?! She made the planning process seamless and we were happy to have gotten to know her during our engagement shoot. Then at the wedding - she was ON! She kept our families in line AND ON TIME, which is not a small task. She even helped coordinate a surprise with my husband that left me speechless! Our wedding was all about the details and she absolutely captured that. AND THE PHOTOS! Aside from being a wonderful person to spend the day with, Jess is a true artist! The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and my husband and I feel SO LUCKY that we get to cherish them forever.

When I’m not photographing freaking awesome people, you can find me sitting on the couch in my husband's pajama pants, drinking coffee, snuggling my pets, and editing. Coffee and snuggles are my two primary love languages. My favorite Netflix binges are The Office, Shameless, and Friday Night Lights. Clear eyes, full heart. Speed date: I’m obsessed with Vermont, avocados, dark chocolate, and cats. Pinterest is only my friend for recipes. My favorite fair food is fried dough but I’m allergic to it - what kind of cruel joke is that? I didn’t study photography in college (gasp), but I did study music, and that kind of relates...right?

Erica is AMAZING!!! From our very first consultation call with her, my fiancé and I knew she was the best choice for our engagement shoot and wedding. We laughed and chatted and felt comfortable right off the bat. I have been told that you end up being around your wedding photographer more than almost anyone else on your wedding day - so it's super important you feel comfortable around them, so I was thrilled to feel like I have known her for years just over a Zoom call! Then, she managed to fit us in her schedule last minute, and drive over 3 hours to us in the Greater Boston area to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! She frolicked around the park in the cold with us, LITERALLY climbing in and out of bushes and trees to get these gorgeous shots. You couldn't tell by the photos... but I was super duper nervous going into the shoot. I’m not a huge fan of my picture being taken… and the thought a professional camera made me feel extremely anxious. But Erica was so kind, and calm, and made me laugh and feel comfortable literally immediately!!! My fiancé and I are sooooo awkward too, but she expertly posed us in many different ways that make us look like pros LOL! A day that I had so much anxiety for… ended up being such a blast for both of us, truly. JUST THE SHOOT IN ITSELF will be a wonderful memory we will cherish forever. And then she got us the photos in record time, I couldn't believe it! So fast!!! And to no surprise, they were all incredible. It's so hard to choose a favorite, I have like 10 haha. I am beyond excited to have her shoot our wedding in the future. Five stars for EVERYTHING! Seriously. She is so incredibly talented!!!!

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

5.0

Beacon, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy was a pleasure to work with from the very first interaction I had with her. She is full of joy and excitement about her work and it really comes through. We are extremely happy with both the engagement photos and our wedding photos—especially the photos of our reception. She captured the joy and excitement of the day so incredibly well. Looking through the albums allowed us to relive the day together and gave us so many fun snaps of our guests enjoying the party. Neither of us are comfortable in front of a camera, but she somehow managed to help us relax and enjoy the experience, making the pictures even more beautiful. Cappy was there for every important moment of our day without being overwhelming. We all laughed with her during the posed shots of our family and bridal party and she managed to somehow work her way around the dance floor seamlessly to get the most amazing pictures of the party. Being able to see these and share them with family and friends has brought us so much joy and laughter. Cappy is incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with—zero drama and all smiles. She was on time with everything, including the turnaround of the albums. She brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, Teresa, who was also amazing and they made a GREAT team. We would recommend her work to anyone!

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras to using flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
Nina is by far one of the most professional, fun and down to earth photographers I have worked with. When you work with her just know that it will feel like you're best friend is shooting your wedding! Her photos are absolutely stunning. From Boudoir to headshots, family pictures and weddings she can do it all and make them look absolutely PERFECT.

Rebecca has been working as a professional photographer for over 10 years. She began with a small film camera, taking photos at her favorite concerts. As she grew, so did her unique style and her passion. She attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ca. and obtained a BA in Advertising Photography. Hi, Thanks for reading! Here's my photography short story: 2017, after 13 years of teaching, I said goodbye to the classroom and pursued Olympic weightlifting photography- my company was Everyday Lifters. Shortly after, I launched my wedding business. The Long Version: Weightlifting has taken me to places like Turkmenistan, Germany, & across the country! The weightlifters started getting married, and along the way, I received training to advocate for diverse bodies as a photographer. During this time of transition, I started taking documenting courses through the International Center of Photography and work on documenting local stories.

Choosing a photographer is always hard, it is even more nerve racking when choosing your wedding photographer. That wasn’t the case when we met and connected with Viviana. Viviana from the start was able to put us at ease and was incredibly welcoming. She was very open and helpful as we navigated the planning process. During the day of our wedding we felt like we were in safe and good hands. We didn’t feel like we had to act a certain way or pose in an inauthentic manner. We felt at ease and like our true selves throughout. Viviana’s approach and warmth helped us be our true selves and embrace the day to its fullest. When we received the photos we were thrilled about how they all came out. We loved that each picture captured a special moment on our special day. Whether that was at our first look, ceremony, or when we hit the dance floor. We included pictures to our friends along with our thank you notes. It was an absolute pleasure to partner with Viviana on our wedding day photography. We highly recommend her and her work for your wedding!

Welcome! I'm Anita. I aim to freeze moments in time, ensuring they never fade away. Picture this: the exact curve of a smile, the hues of an unforgettable sunset, the ability to relive a cherished memory and rewind time. I value creating a safe haven for every facet of your humanity. Whether you're camera-shy or uncertain about interacting with a stranger, I strive to make the process comfortable. Let's not just capture moments; let's craft an experience where, perhaps, we'll both discover a new friend in the making.

I had hired a photographer for budgetary reasons and about two weeks before my wedding panicked because I wanted another style of photography. Anita literally saved the day, thank god she was available! She worked so flexibly with the other photographer, capturing some of my absolute favorite photos of the entire day. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hi, I'm Jen -- a semi-awkward, nice person and a wedding photographer based out of the Catskills of New York. I am a huge fan of dogs. I love to tell stories -- even more so, I love to tell side stories, so rambling - I guess I just love rambling. I'm down to earth - easy going - and always intimated by writing descriptions about myself.

I've worked alongside Jen of Story & Gold Weddings for a few years and I can honestly say that besides being an incredibly talented photographer, Jen is an all-around wonderful person. She's creative, kind, reliable, and dedicated to creating a high-quality product and experience for her couples - and her artistic vision on wedding days continuously blows me away. I recommend Jen to all my family and friends who are looking for a modern, bold approach to wedding photography - don't hesitate to hire her!!

I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. I understand that you’ve never done this before and you may not even know where to start! Don’t worry- I got you!

Finding a good photographer was high on our priority list for vendors. We got married outside in the Catskill Mountains and as such we wanted a photographer capable of capturing the depth of the forest. After looking through Sam's portfolio we knew she was good, but after working with her and seeing her work firsthand we can say she's the best. Getting your photo taken can be awkward, especially given the high stakes of a wedding. But Sam is able to make you feel immediately comfortable while simultaneously taking the most stunning photos you'll ever see. We also had a connection session with her, which we would highly recommend so that you can know how she works - very fun and relaxed, but professional. Sam helped us outline the entire day of the wedding, and based on her knowledge the day went off without a hitch. We're so grateful she agreed to work with us!

I'm Alex. I spend my free time with my husband and our dogs Conor & Belle. I'm lucky to live in the Hudson Valley surrounded by amazing nature and upstate lifestyle. Art is something that I fell in love with at a young age and has always carried me through life- it lead me to photography. The mixture of art and emotion is one of the things I love most about wedding photography. When you look through your collection of photos I want you to feel and see the emotion, love and fun you had on your best day ever.

We received all of our photos back and couldn't believe how beautiful they are! We love them all and it was so hard to pick what ones went in our album. Every single part of our day was captured so perfectly. We get to relive the day every time we look at them! Alex made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I highly recommend an engagement session as well- this was great practice and a lovely chance to get to know Alex. Extra perk- great pics for our save the dates! Alex was also just a huge help throughout the entire day. If she is not photographing you, she is behind the scenes assisting to make sure every detail is perfect. She goes above and beyond her role. She's just the best person and photographer! We had the best time working with her and will recommend her over and over again to our friends.

If there is anything I'd love for you to know the most about me, it's this: I will show up for you with compassion, courage and patience (and a little unconventional when inspired). My superhero strength is to see things that you don't; capturing significant moments or your 'perfect side.' I will transform your misconceptions about how you look on camera. It's empowering. I want to do that for you. I received my BFA in fine-arts from Pratt Institute and shot my first wedding in 1992. Photomuse was founded in 2002 and has gone on to become an award-winning photography studio.

Hey there love! I’m Malyssa, the onewoman circus behind M Quay Photography. I fell in love with photography one morning while I was waiting at the bus stop. Since then I've been seeing the beauty in everything. I want to be the person who helps you see your inner beauty. As your wedding photographer, I want to be the person you come to freaking out about wedding planning, the person bring you water, hang out with your kiddos, and tell you that you are the bomb! I want to adventure with you. Truly, I just want to be your best friend. And maybe take some photos of you in the process.

Malyssa was so easy to work with. She made my now husband and I feel so comfortable when we first met and did engagement photos and was always there for us throughout the entire wedding planning process. I am so grateful to have met her because I will never use another photographer! Her shooting style is so awesome and she is always willing to do what the client wants too! Highly recommend!

Debbie Gander Photography

Poughkeepsie, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

When I’m not photographing amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley with my family, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

Working alongside Debbie was a joy! I was a videographer to a wedding she was photographing. To the couple, Debbie was patient, calm, and professional throughout the day, and helped the couple not only stay at ease during some stressful moments, but also enjoy their wedding day amidst the hiccups. To myself and the other vendors, Debbie was collaborative, creative, and flexible to each of the fellow vendors specific needs for the day. Her photos from the wedding were authentic, timeless, and stunning! I would highly recommend Debbie Gander Photography to any couple looking for a photographer for their wedding!

My passion for photography started at a very young age. Polaroid,Kodak, disposable cameras anything I could get my hands on for as long as I can remember. After working for several years in photojournalism and editing I decided to make the switch to a full time wedding photographer in 2010. I haven’t looked back since. I love the rush and excitement of the wedding day. The ability to meet new people and travel new places. Every weekend I get to experience different families, friends, foods and cultures. It’s not a job it’s a gift. My gift in return to you is images I pour my heart and soul into.

My husband and I could not imagine our wedding without Blue Jar Photo. Meg is truly an artist and captured such beautiful and unique shots of our wedding. If you're looking to commemorate the candid and intimate moments of your special day, Blue Jar Photo can do just that. I could not be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. I highly recommend Blue Jar Photo! Absolutely amazing!

Allan also provides stunning portrait photography services for clients in and around Hudson Valley, NY, as well as engagement photos, glamour shots, boudoir photography, fashion photography, and more!

Allan (and his wife Vicki) served as the photo team for our engagement session as well as our wedding day. My wife and I could not be happier with the quality of work that Allen and Vicki were able to deliver for us. We felt that their prices were more than fair and that the quality of the photos delivered was excellent. Vicki and Allen were a joy to work with during every step of the process. They were not pushy, listened to our vision, and were personable and friendly the entire time. They were extremely organized regarding pre-planning of what photos to take but also were responsive to the environment and any day of ideas. We would work with them again without hesitation.

I am a wedding photographer with 8+ years experience in the business, although my photographic journey began years before that. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for travel and landscape photography. Today my wedding photography is deeply influenced by the natural beauty found in the scenery around us, as well as the important moments between a couple. I am also a science and math teacher, and I have a background in Marine Biology. I think one reason I am a good wedding photographer is my keen sense of observation and attention to detail! Whenever I have free time I love to cook and travel with my wife, brew beer, and run.

I've been snapping photos for over 25 years now. What began as a fun little hobby quickly spiraled into an all-consuming passion. For more than two decades, I've been knee-deep in the world of consumer packaged goods (CPG) as a marketing executive, rocking the suit-and-tie look like a champ. But you know what they say about following your dreams? Well, I finally listened. I ditched the corporate scene to capture the joy of weddings and to preserve the intrinsic beauty that surrounds us. Through my work, I aim to preserve memories, highlight untold moments, and foster a deeper connection between the viewer and my images.

I have a very photojournalistic approach to a wedding day — I want to capture all of the beautiful, loving, silly and fun moments as they unfold with warmth and honesty. When it comes to portraits, I love to get more editorial and incorporate bits of what makes you, you (as a couple) with the surrounding light, nature and architecture. Most importantly, when you look back at your photos I want you to remember how it felt.

Moments. Details. Emotions. These are the things that define you, your life and your most important events. How do you want to remember them? My approach is to be as non-invasive and invisible as possible. The less you know I am there, the more reality I am able to capture. I do not want to be a director. I want to be an observer; a documentarian; most importantly, a story teller. Each moment in your life builds a story. That story deserves to be relived and passed on. i want to help you remember those moments, those details, those emotions that make up your life.

Hi! I'm a former Washington DC native, now residing in the Hudson Valley. I found work in weddings while I was in college and I fell in love and never looked back. I've been making photographs for eight years, and have been photographing weddings for four years.

I was born and partially raised in Southern California. After a few years + an exceptionally long cross country road trip - my parents decided to move us to the east coast. We've been complaining about the beaches ever since. My sister was always the artistic one. She sold her first piece while she was still in middle school, it took me a lot longer to figure out what I wanted to do. When I started doing photography - I honestly didn't realize how much I'd love it. It's not just about the lighting, filter, or the pursuit of the perfect Instagram feed. Sometimes it means going into the ocean to get the perfect shot.

Astoria, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Big Indian, NY

Hey there!! My name is Marilyn and I'm so glad you're here ♡ I am a couples + wedding photographer based in New York City, and happy to travel to wherever your day is at! I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

Awarded Best of Zola
If only I could give Marilyn 100 stars, I would. If you are looking for a style that is candid, heartwarming, timeless, and a mix of film and digital, and a photographer who is talented, organized, trustworthy and kind, Marilyn is THE ONE. From our initial Zoom call to us getting the full album, Marilyn has been the most perfect vendor we had. Wedding planning is stressful, especially for those who opted not to have a planner, so after my first ever call with Marilyn, I knew I wanted to book her -- she's so genuinely interested in learning about me and my partner, answered all of my questions and emails promptly, and was always in such a cheerful and sweet manner. Leading up to our big day, she made sure to check in and even sent us a care package! The thought and time she put in for all her couples was just amazing. On our wedding day, she made sure to take us to all the most picturesque spots and gave us gentle guidance for our couples' portraits, while being there for us to document the most fun, silly, unexpected moments when we were just being ourselves with friends and family. Looking back, our wedding day itself had felt like an ecstatic blur, but looking at all the photos now reminded us of how special, exciting, touching that day truly was, especially in moments we didn't register mentally but captured candidly through Marilyn's lens of magic. Marilyn was not only able to capture the visuals, but also the joy in us, which takes real talent to accomplish. We are forever grateful that Marilyn was our photographer, and we recommended her to everybody we know getting married -- my sister-in-law has already hired her for her big day!

Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.

I'm Chrysa- a self-taught photographer since 2014. My entire life I've always been in love with taking pictures. Whether it was using a Polaroid as a kid, bringing the ole digital point & shoot along to the bars in college (until I dropped it in a vodka RedBull - RIP) or finally growing up & buying my first big girl DSLR in my early 20s, I have always had a flare for anything creative. I'm sure my parents wished I had a flare for performing heart surgery but here we are... I love travel & all things adventure/outdoors (Want to climb a mountain to elope? I'm your girl. Want to exchange vows in a National Park? I've been to 29, count me in).

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Chrysa was an absolute dream. She made space for her and I to connect and explore creatively in such a beautiful way that allowed me to feel comfortable and at ease the entire time. I have struggled in the past to find boudoir photographers that capture such a soft feminine essence and Chrysa truly delivered here. I can not wait to create more work with her in the future

When we finally got to celebrate, she brought the best energy to the day - she was calm, warm, and positive. And most importantly, her photos were amazing! It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

Alli and Josh truly went above and beyond and we are so grateful for them!! Our friends, family, bridal party and everyone involved agreed that the Mannixco was the best overall photographer that any of us have ever worked with! We hired Shelby for our wedding in Brooklyn and undoubtedly made the best choice for photographer. She was professional, communicative, and obviously talented (her work speaks for itself!) We chose one of her higher packages that included a second photographer so we could have our groomsmen and bridesmaids both photographed getting ready at separate locations. Throughout the event, she was like a fly on the wall, and captured so many amazing moments without us even taking notice. When our guests engaged with her, she was fun and interactive. In the end, her photos somehow turned out better than we expected, clearly illustrating her talent and attention to detail. We have and would highly recommend Shelby to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Best word to describe Millie…UNMATCHED! Millie has been so responsive from DAY 1. She photographed our engagement session back in April 2023. She was just as invested in checking the weather for that weekend as much as I was! She made the experience so seemless and the photos came out effortlessly and captured our love even though we were camera shy. Aside from being our photographer for our engagment session - she also photographed our wedding recently (June 2024) and through our numerous video calls she made a timeline! This was so helpful with planning! We received our gallery in such a short period of time that I was in such disbelief. I lived the photos and our story she captured - I will forever be grateful!

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements, to hiking engagements, to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York and California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, and candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few awesomely unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kathryn was so great to work with! I am overly easy-going and did not have a clear idea of what I wanted for photos for my engagement and wedding, but once I saw Kathryn's photos from other events I was sure I wanted her! Her photos show so much personality and are so vibrant, she gave me a sneak peak of the wedding photos just days after the wedding and it got me so excited to see the rest and made me 100% sure I chose the right photographer for my 'big day'. She came up to Humboldt County, CA for our engagement shoot and we did an adventure style session, we hiked all around the College Cove forest and beach and she had both my husband and I feeling very comfortable in front of the camera (neither of us usually would be). The photos came out so beautifully and there are so many to chose from and love. Her assistant was also great! My wedding was pretty un-organized but everything came together so perfectly at the end. She was very understanding when my payment had to come in small portions as well because my Zelle app wasn't working properly. Pretty much all I told her was that I wanted 90% candid in the moment photos and just a few family portraits on top of our couple portraits. I was very grateful that all I had to do was give her a few sentences of what I knew I wanted and she gave her all to give me what I wanted and more! I would 100% chose her over and over again to photograph our events!

Hi! My name is Hannah Jan Schillinger and I’m the owner and lead photographer of Hannah Jan Photo. I grew up in Westchester, New York and graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in Art History. My education in fine art trained me to observe and see the beauty in the everyday. This background guides me to not only capture authentic moments, but gave me a curated eye and ability to document the personality of couples and the spirit of their love celebrations.

Hannah was amazing! We worked with her twice - for our legal elopement and for our postponed wedding ceremony and reception. Not only was she amazingly understanding about rescheduling during a stressful period, she was also very flexible and accommodating in photographing our brief elopement - she even braved pouring rain to capture our outdoor ceremony and portrait session. For our wedding with family and friends, she was calm, collected and friendly as we again dealt with inclement weather and day-of hiccups. She was very aware of the schedule and on top of timing, and made sure we got all our requested shots, gently and tactfully corralling us and our guests. She has lots of tricks for natural looking photos during the portrait sessions, and provides clear directions so you feel minimal awkwardness posing. After the formal portraits, she did a great job of blending in and capturing candid moments. Her sneak peak photo turnaround was super fast, and we are even more blown away by the full album! She captured the event exactly as I imagined it - beautiful, natural, classic photos that feel like us. We loved seeing all the candids of our guests enjoying themselves, and her detail shots are artfully done. We highly recommend Hannah if you want warm, beautiful photographs to document your day!

I am so glad you're here! I LOVE my family and I am OBSESSED with anything Kate Spade and if I could live in yoga pants, I would. My favorite thing to do other than photography is cook. I am lucky my husband and kiddos love eating as much as they do! We love the beach and anything Disney! I fully believe in having ice cream for breakfast and I cannot pass by a good Italian restaurant without going in. My heart melts when my boy says I love you or kisses my cheek. Being a photographer has allowed me to freeze some of our sweetest moments and I hope to be able to do that for you. xoxo

Wow Lauren's work is stunning! I loved her style before I got engaged and knew I wanted to work with her for my wedding. I am so thankful I had her there. She was on top of my timeline and made sure I got exactly what I wanted for my photos. My groom was dreading pictures and she made it fun. It was our favorite part of the night

Are you frustrated with combing through page after page of the same old cliche'd wedding photos? Looking for something classic and timeless but with a bit of an edge? We got you. I've been creating wedding day memories for over a decade now. New Orleans. Chicago. Minneapolis. The PNW. NYC. We travel all over this country, and even internationally, when the right opportunity presents itself, documenting love stories for our amazing couples. Our goal with each new wedding, is not to be just good or “good enough”--the goal is to be world-class, one of the top wedding photography teams in the world. Each couple helps us accomplish this.

Awarded Best of Zola
I haaaate having my photo taken. I was super anxious about the whole process going into it. It takes a certain amount of trust to let someone photograph you... Jay and his Bellocq team were A from start to finish. We were blown away by A) the sheer amount of photos given back (they don't cap their packages at certain photo counts) and B) how seamlessly the entire collection flowed together from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be re-booking them for our family photos (first baby on the way!!!) in the future. Jay is incredibly kind and fun to be around, and just puts you at ease. That is the first thing you'll notice when you meet. Can't recommend Bellocq enough!!!

Hullo! So you're gettin' hitched (YaaY!), but you’re not super into the idea of the overly-manicured wedding. A+ for you, because this is not your parents’ wedding photography. I'm a farm kid who floats between the journalism and art worlds. I love telling stories as much as I love listening to the stories of others. I’m the type of person who makes up musicals for my own amusement and nurses a soft spot for sci-fi and fantasy. If I’m not taking photos, I’m usually dancing. Or cooking. It’s possible I may have a baking addiction and try to mitigate the damage by forcing the goods on loved ones.

Celia at The Lovely Lens was an absolute GEM!! Our wedding was not the typical / traditional ceremony-- on purpose! Leading up to the big day, Celia kept lines of communication open (so helpful for planning) and was 1000% supportive of our special day being so...well, special! She was such a total champ while capturing every moment in the pouring rain. She was fully prepared for the weather & didn't miss one beat! My partner and I instantly felt at ease and loved our time together with her. She encouraged us to be our authentically goofy selves! Her presence was so warm, her energy was delightful, and her work was STUNNING! Seriously, I'm obsessed with the photos! Not only do we have incredible images from this amazing day, but we also have wonderful memories with Celia. She was so friendly and kind us as well as to our family and friends, and immediately jumped on board with our 'potluck bbq at Grandma's house' vibe. By the end of the day she felt like part of the family as we chatted about our furkids and exchanged on where to order some cute socks with their faces on them, haha. If you're looking for an absolute powerhouse of an artist to capture your day in the way that doesn't feel awkward or intrusive, or if you're looking for a photographer with genuinely good vibes and authentic energy, or if you're looking for someone to simply help tell your love story through stunning imagery-- please consider The Lovely Lens of Celia for your special day. 3

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Kim was one of the first vendors that my husband and I booked. As soon as we had our introductory call with her, we were hooked! Like many other couples, it was our first time being photographed and we wanted to find someone that would make us feel as comfortable as possible. Kim was warm, genuine and patient with us. She knew exactly what to do and how to get us to open up in front of the camera. Due to the pandemic, when we had to postpone our original wedding date, Kim was extremely accommodating and understanding. And as a stressed out couple whose plans were constantly changing, she was so helpful in offering solutions and suggestions for us. We are forever grateful to Kim for capturing our wedding day so beautifully. Although we didn’t hire a videographer, the photos itself told the whole story of our day. Clicking through the pictures, it felt like we were watching a movie. We found so many moments that we didn’t even realize she caught. She happened to be in the right place at the right time. And her photography style was exactly what we were looking for. We didn’t want too many posed photos and wanted something timeless. She allowed us to focus on each other and our photos reflected our honest emotions. She is truly authentic and forms wonderful connections with all of her couples. Kim is more than just a wedding photographer and we would highly recommend her to everyone.

Where do I even begin to express the sheer delight of working with DJ on my wedding day? From the moment we first met, I knew I was in for something special. DJ's exceptional skills as a photographer not only met but exceeded all my expectations, making my wedding day an absolute dream come true! From the very start, DJ's warm and personable nature put everyone at ease. It was like having a girlfriend by our side, capturing every precious moment. As the day unfolded, her talent shined through, beautifully capturing the essence of our emotions and the magic of the occasion. The candid photos DJ captured are my absolute favorite! DJ's ability to handle even the most rambunctious of groomsmen was nothing short of amazing. She effortlessly navigated through the challenges of the day. Even with a group of boys who had indulged in a bit too much, DJ skillfully guided them into perfect poses, resulting in some of the most cherished and candid shots. Throughout the entire process, DJ displayed a level of patience and professionalism that left a lasting impression. She expertly orchestrated the wedding party, ensuring everyone was organized and ready for their moment in front of the camera. The way she managed to capture everyone’s personality while maintaining the cohesiveness of the group shots was truly commendable. There was not one person missed! DJ made sure I had a photo was each family member, which I am extremely grateful for. It felt as though DJ was more than just a photographer; she became an integral part of our wedding day, seamlessly blending in with our friends and family. The rapport she built with us was evident in the photographs! In the end, the pictures surpassed anything I could have imagined. DJ's talent and dedication to her craft have given us a treasure trove of memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Her ability to create such a relaxed and enjoyable experience on our special day truly made all the difference. I can wholeheartedly say that DJ is not only an incredibly photographer but also a wonderful person, and I would recommend her to anyone seeking a photographer who can turn their wedding day into an absolute masterpiece! You can see capturing moments is what she LOVES to do!

You simply MUST hire Kelsey if you're looking for a wedding photographer. In our search, we kept coming across very moody or over-/under-saturated photography styles, which was not our vibe. We came across Kelsey's portfolio and were greeted with vibrant, true-to-life color and we were hooked. Kelsey's also just an incredibly kind and charismatic person — she made us feel at ease on our engagement session, and we got a chance to really connect, which made our wedding day that much more exciting because we felt like we were reuniting with an old friend. Kelsey went above and beyond her duties, like providing us with wedding day timeline guidance and driving one of us over to the venue so we could execute a 'first look.' We can't imagine our wedding day without Kelsey being there! Her photos speak for themselves, but I hope this review gives you the added encouragement to reach out to her, because you'll regret not hiring her for your own wedding

One of the most important aspects of a photo is the emotion it conveys. While I have years of training and experience, photographing love cannot be reduced to lighting and angles. Well before your special day. I hear my client's love story. This helps me create eye-catching images that portray the kind of affection that is unique to each couple. I pride myself in being a storyteller-photographer.

Andrea (Anj) was a pleasure to work with. Her energy was fantastic and her finished product was even better. I am so glad we chose to use Anj as our wedding photographer. Would use her for any photography needs. A true gem!

We each have our own story of how we've come to be a part of this incredibly field of wedding journalism. As individual as we are, we're all bound by the same love for our craft – the artistry of blending documentary journalism with stunning, creative vision. With over a thousand weddings under our collective belts, we've photographed and filmed weddings of every shape and size imaginable. We can't wait to document your wedding as well!

I could not have imagined our wedding without Duet. Not only was the quality of their work was truly remarkable, but they were the most professional vendor you will come across. They were personable, realistic, and truly accommodating and understanding of the details we laid out for them. Hanel, the studio manager, really helped structure our day's timeline and he was integral for helping everything run smoothly. Mike, our main photographer, was so masterful with his lighting and he really went above and beyond for our engagement photoshoot and wedding day as well! The staff had the mindset of prioritizing our needs as the couple first and foremost, which I really appreciated when there are a lot of differing opinions going on leading up to the day. There were so many of our loved ones who saw the photos that commented unprompted to us that our photographers were stellar and my husband and I could not agree more.

But more importantly I am a wedding, lifestyle and adventure elopement photographer based out of NYC. When shooting with me, expect to have tons of fun and lots of laughs because I like to be weird! Life is too short to be normal! I photograph all types of love.

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over 5 years. I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

I absolutely LOVE working with Christian! We first met both Christian and Emilio beforehand after scouting them from the internet & IG while looking for a photography and videography package. From their work and their website altogether, I knew they were the kinds of creative personalities we would want to help us capture our special day as well as the aesthetic we were looking for. The packaged we booked included an engagement shoot where we first got to work with Christian really get to know his fun personality and he got to learn about the kind of photography. Although we originally booked both of them for our wedding in October, there was a scheduling conflict with another couple. Christian was super professional in communicating that to us and getting the additional coverage for our day at the same quality. The turnaround time for the preview, full gallery, and teaser video were exactly as promised- faster than we expected! Christian has been extremely communicative from planning our first meet up last January 2019, to the days leading up to our wedding, through to the editing of the final products. Highly highly highly recommend them and would refer them in a heartbeat!!

She was very flexible and understanding when we had to change our wedding to be smaller and then to an elopement all together. On the day of she came to photograph us on time, gave us great direction and made us feel comfortable during the whole process. It was like having a friend around, which meant a lot to us since we had o one but us on our special day due to COVID. We had so much fun shooting we didn't notice our time was up! She was so excited about our photos she send us sneak peeks within hours of our ceremony, while on her layover. Needless to say we were thrilled and amazed with the end photos she provided. She had the final gallery ready for us within the timeline she provided in her contract ( actually even earlier than we expected!) The photos were presented in an easy to access gallery where you can also print them or make them into an album. We are absolutely in LOVE with the photos she took of us! We will cherish them for the rest of our lives. Thank you Kara!

Hi, I’m Andrea! a Latina wedding film photographer based in NJ/NYC. With 7 years in portrait photography and 2 years dedicated to weddings, I’m passionate about capturing love stories. Weddings inspire me as they are unique moments where communities unite in pure joy and love. Being part of the LGBTQI+ community, I ensure my space is safe and welcoming for all marriers. When not behind the camera, I love traveling back home, crocheting, taking care of my chosen family, and creating in my photo lab! Each moment I capture is a testament to my love for love. '*•.¸♡ ♡¸.•*'

Awarded Best of Zola
Andrea was our first choice for a wedding photographer and we were so lucky that she was available to shoot our wedding. We were looking for a candid-style wedding photographer with a relaxed, artistic style that’s both modern and timeless, and Andrea’s vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. Her eye for detail is astounding, and beyond her technical expertise, she is an absolute joy to work with. Andrea is extremely organized, kind, and creative. We are in awe of how filled with love and light the photos are. The most candid, intimate moments, captured artfully. We will treasure these photos forever.

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Awarded Best of Zola
We've had our first love story photoshoot with her this spring. Both of us were so shy and new to this, but Dasha not only made us feel comfortable but also be ourselves! All the posing and picture ideas, we didn't have to worry about. And finally, the pictures came out amazing! We were so happy with the photoshoot process and the photos that we knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Dasha was with us from early morning till almost midnight and we couldn't be happier! I even felt like she was one of my bridesmaids and closest friends, always helping around and making me feel less nervous! We just got our wedding pictures a few days back and we just wanted to share them all at once! We're very happy with our choice!! Thank You Dasha for everything!

Every person is beautiful, unique and has a story to tell. Allow us to show you how we see you. Focus on what the day is about and everything else becomes secondary. We don't just show up and shoot. We want to ensure that we are constantly and collectively on the same page in regards to the vision of your session. Our goal is to work together with you in hopes of creating something special for future generations to look back on.

Awarded Best of Zola
I worked with Prime Star Visuals in September 2021 at a yacht wedding where they were the photographer and I was the videographer. David and his team was very friendly and fun to work with. I like the way they posed the couple and set up lighting, because of that I got great video footage. Later I followed them on instagram and really enjoyed their style and artistry. Hope to work together again!

Hiya, I am Vital (pronounces Vee-tal), and I am a 20 something guy with a camera in my hands and a cheerful smile. I have been a wedding photographer since 2016, and every year I fall even more in love with my job. My fiancee and I have a dog and a cat. We love to travel domestically and abroad, and I can't imagine life without photos. I enjoy reading or listening to books, especially novels and biographies. Alpine climbing, backpacking, and road-tripping are among my hobbies too. There is more to my life story on my website :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Vital was such a breath of fresh air on our wedding day. He made us, our loved ones, and the whole crowd feel comfortable, happy, calm, and understood. He took the time to hear about our vision a few times before the day-of and really really delivered in his final product. He brought our moments to life in such an artistic and beautiful way. I cannot imagine having a better experience. His professionalism, kindness, communication, and artistic strength are truly unmatched. Thank you forever Vital!

A dad, a son, a brother and a jack of all trades musician that loves to rock out any chance I get. I grew up in New York City. My inclination towards photography came from classic street photography and photojournalists from all over the world that told their stories through a lens. It made me pick up a camera and start shooting. Now, living in Maryland I shoot all sorts of stories and moments locally, domestically, and abroad. It's taken me a while to figure out what my "thing" is but I've come to figure out that I'm a milestone photographer. The moments your life that have proven to be meaningful -- I'll be there.

Sam was not only the best vendor we worked with but also the most fun. Non stop laughing. We forgot to bring a bluetooth speaker while we were getting ready, Sam had it covered. My husband needed a button restitched, Sam had a sowing kit in the car. The man is prepared for absolutely everything. The only thing I regret was not finding him sooner. He has since become out family photographer and several of our guests have booked already. Cheers!!!

My name is Charles R. Bullard, and Tell Your Story Studios allows you to get impactful photos that capture memorial moments in your life. I aim to ensure you feel exceptional and natural when I capture a piece of your life's journey in a fun and colorful look. Celebrating the next chapter in your life should be one you constantly want to look back at and smile. Finding the right photographer to work with is essential. Trust and comfortability make the dynamics between the client and the photographer create magic. Like looking for the perfect pair of shoes to an outfit. It makes you look great, feel confident, and represent your style.

Tell Your Stories went above and beyond! My first impression working with Charlie is that he is extremely communicative. Him being proactive really put my nervousness about photography at ease. Secondly, I feel like Charlie captured us perfectly. I get really nervous about photography because I don't know how to pose, so I was expecting it to be an awkward shoot. But wow! Everything felt very natural, and Charlie just knew when to take the shots. We had a planned to take pictures in a park and those turned out wonderful, but Charlie also asked if we could stop downtown for a bit to take a few more pictures. We have a small downtown and absolutely adore our city, and I think those pictures turn out just a good if not better than the location we had initially chose. There was no doubt in our minds that we wanted him to work our wedding as well. And of course thus far his level of professionalism has far exceeded any of our other vendors. It's nice to take a back seat in wedding planning for once. Thank you, Charlie and Tell Your Stories!

Hey future newlyweds! I'm Jarrod, a wedding photographer that specializes in story telling. Tired of all the bright, overposed, cookie cutter sh*t you keep seeing? Let's create wedding images with real emotion, story, and intention to them. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward. That's why I choose not to pose couples, but instead prompt you to do something like "take off your shoes and run across the field" or " get inside the car and kiss everywhere except the lips". These prompts will help you feel comfortable and also help create candid images. Check out my website for more info :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Jarrod was so professional and made it so easy and fun to take photos that captured our essence and our love. The photos of our special day are now displayed in our home and continue to be a priceless reminder of one of the best days of our lives. Can’t recommend Jarrod enough - thanks for everything 11/10 !!!

We’re Anton & Natalie - your new adventure buddies! On our first date we spent the day doing what we love most, getting outside. That’s also how we spent our wedding day, and most other significant, life-altering moments in our relationship. We fundamentally believe that the best day of your life should be spent doing what makes your heart sing. You’re not here because you don’t care about your day, you’re here because you care more. You don’t want the ordinary and traditional. You want care more about experiences rather than material possessions. You want the authentic, intimate, and intentional day which focuses on YOU as a couple.

Awarded Best of Zola
Anton and Natalie are an incredibly talented duo that I have had the honor of collaborating with on various shoots and weddings across NH. Their attention to detail, talent, and passion for their work is so apparent. These two can truly be your one stop shop for an unforgettable elopement, as Natalie is an officiant and also creates beautiful floral arrangements! Take this as you sign to hire them! I tell each couple’s story beautifully and comprehensively in a way that is uniquely them creating wedding photography that emphasizes raw emotion, subtle gesture and straight-up fun! I've been photographing weddings professionally since 2004 and have run my own business for over 15 years.

Awarded Best of Zola
I have been performing for weddings for 27 years and as band leader, I work closely with the staff as well as the other vendors, as we all need to work as a team to truly get the most out of the event for our clients. Michelle is one of those memorable photographers that upon arrival, I immediately know that we are going to have a stress free night. She knows exactly when and how to get the best photos and she never interferes with dancing which for me (and the band) is everything! Her talents will speak for themselves as you view her beautiful work, but as a professional seeing how she works behind the scenes, I can tell you without a shred of doubt that if you hire her, you will have zero regrets! We hired Nelson for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Nelson is the perfect blend of creative, detail-oriented, and chill. As the planning went on, he was easy to communicate with, had some good ideas, and was very personable. On the day of the wedding, Nelson gave great direction, was the calm in the storm of all the wedding prep- and from what we have seen of our sneak peak photos, truly captured the joy of the day. I can't wait to see the finished photos!
