Meet The Cool Rulers! A youthful, professional and world class dance band collective from Brooklyn, NY specializing in Motown, soul, funk, disco and more. Our videos and reviews speak for themselves. Made up of real friends with real musical chemistry and a true love and passion for the songs that we play, The Cool Rulers cater to clients seeking an alternative to your typical flashy top 40 event bands.

The Cool Rulers were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! Their communication style was professional, easy, and fun throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and value was unmatched - they brought an outstanding level of talent and energy that had everyone, from our 3-year-old guests to our 90-year-olds, dancing, singing, and smiling all night long. With an incredible 9-hour setlist to choose from, this band truly was the number one best decision I made for our wedding day. I put all my trust in The Cool Rulers, and they exceeded my expectations in every way. I will be forever grateful for the joy and talent they brought to our special day!

The Cool Rulers were an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. The Cool Rulers were amazing! So easy to work with, great vibes and brought incredible energy for our wedding. They have a perfect mix of modern classics and older hits with an unmatched sound. Guaranteed to get your friends - and (grand)parents - dancing from the first note to the last song. We only wish the night had gone on forever! We were pretty hands off and encouraged them to do their thing as we loved their style and song list but I'm sure they would be able to accommodate if you have more specific requests. We had tons of people post (and during) our wedding asking about them and a number of people referred to them as the best wedding band they'd seen. Would highly recommend! The only caveat would be if you really want exclusively modern music/top 40 and/or don't love Motown, they might not be the band for you.

So talented and so much fun!! They made our wedding reception truly a day we'll never forget. The setlist was perfect and exactly what we had in mind. Their range of songs was so good. The dance floor was packed the entire time. 10/10 would recommend for any event!!
