How many photos do you usually deliver?

It's hard to give an exact number of pictures as each wedding is unique and differs in length, but on average clients receive between 60-70 images per hour of wedding coverage and about 70-120 total for engagement sessions, though we're proud to say that we don't put a cap on it!

How do we book?

Accepted Answer

Signing your wedding contract and payment is handled digitally though your own personal online portal. When you book a wedding with us we're reserving that entire date, and will not make other arrangements for that time. Therefore we do require a non-refundable 50% retainer upon signing the contract. The remaining balance is due at least 30 days before your wedding date.

We want a destination wedding, do you offer these?

ABSOLUTELY. We want to photograph stories in locations that you love or have always wanted to visit.

Question 4

Will you keep photos offline?

Accepted Answer

Showcasing current work is imperative in growing this business and supporting ourselves financially. By sharing new content online, we can inspire others and connect with new clients who feel that we'd be a good fit. We've worked the value of this into our collection prices, so if you decide to keep images offline, we charge a 25% loss of revenue and exclusivity fee to make up for its worth.

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Question 6

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

Most of our wedding collections include an experienced 2nd shooter that will be by our side on your wedding day.

Question 7

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Do you also offer video services?

Accepted Answer

No, but we do have plenty of local recommendations when it comes to people we've enjoyed working with in the past.

Question 9

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos in an online gallery about 4-6 weeks after your wedding, but as far as we're able, we aim to deliver faster. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Is your business insured and how do you protect your photos?

We have business insurance which includes liability and equipment coverage (including while traveling). For peace of mind, we use dual memory card slot cameras, so images are being backed-up immediately. After a wedding, we back-up all images in three separate places. Your memories are priceless to us, and we do everything we possibly can to protect them.

Do you allow a grace period before I sign the contract?

Once we send you the contract, you'll have a five day grace period to sign and pay your retainer before we release your date.

Do you require a meeting before booking?

Accepted Answer

Since we're upfront and detailed on our website, we do not feel that a face-to-face meeting beforehand is needed, but we always try to schedule a phone-consultation. However, if you'd feel more comfortable meeting in person, we can absolutely arrange that.

How many weddings do you shoot a year?

To provide the best experience for our couples, I am not able to book every inquiry. Photography is highly personal and relational, and for me to put 100% into my relationships and artistry, I don't want to become overloaded. I want to work with clients that are passionate about what I do, the people that want to work with me because they connect with our style of photography & passion.

Question 15

Our wedding is local, but we want a destination engagement or honeymoon session, do you offer these?

YES! We've been so honored to photograph engagement sessions for local couples in places like the Yosemite mountains, coast of California and “The Big Apple”! However, honeymoon sessions are our favorite—the stress of the wedding is behind you, you're finally married, and you're on the best vacation of your life!
