Overall, we loved our wedding here! We picked this venue in part because it’s so beautiful that the decor we would need to do would be minimal. We were right about that, and there was even some decor provided by the venue in the form of trees with lights. The organ is absolutely beautiful. There is an inside area with a table that’s perfect for cards, seating charts, and a guest book. The layout with upper areas around the organ makes a nice configuration for guest seating. The biggest downside was the bridal getting ready suite is very small and there isn’t a separate area for the groom, so we got ready and took pictures at a nearby hotel. The grounds are also lovely and were great for first look pictures in the graveyard (which is permissible if done tastefully). You can pay an extra 100/hour for the guests to tour the catacombs under the church, which was a nice touch. My other complaint was the technical difficulties — we couldn’t get the microphone at the podium to work so we had to project, and the bass in the music using their auxiliary system kept going in and out. The grounds keeper kept an eye on things for us in terms of crowd control and lighting.

Celebrations was an incredible venue for ur wedding. From the beginning working with Mindy was great with her communication and providing options for us within our budget. The restaurant and library onsite were perfect spots to lounge with our guests as well. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure our special day felt cared for. Evergreen was the perfect venue for our October wedding. The mountain views in the stone garden where we had our ceremony were unbeatable. Desiree, the day-of coordinator, worked with me from beginning to end, responding quickly and so helpfully! She arranged my decor exactly as I had pictured it in my head and went above and beyond to make everything so beautiful. The staff were amazing and kept the day running smoothly. We ended up getting pretty far behind on our timeline, but nobody noticed because of how well they worked the event. Everything seemed seamless!

The courtyard was so beautiful that my mind instantly melted into our ceremony and its magical setting. Our guests were so impressed and stunned at the gothic aesthetics of the ballroom as well. Wes and Jill and all of Cimiez Manor made our wedding truly magical. We met Jill in November of 2019 right after we got engaged looking for a venue that could handle a moderately sized wedding without breaking the bank and still available on the most popular wedding date of 2020 at the time (10.10.2020). The venue is off the beaten trail up the road from Dry Mill Winery. When you drive down the road you see a beautiful manor house that checked off our first box. We walked into the house and Jill decorated the giant chalkboard wall with our name for an extra special touch. The high ceilings, giant chandelier, Victorian era decor, and the speakeasy charm had us hooked. Once we signed, Jill and Wes kept us updated on all the happenings at the venue and changes that incurred with a COVID wedding. They worked well with our wedding planner and we really couldn’t have had a better wedding. They even let us hide a bottle of whiskey on the property for good luck! If you are truly looking for a magical wedding, Cimiez Manor should be the first choice!

We were introduced to Union Mills during the Frederick Wedding Expo, and we loved the look of the place. The look of the venue speaks for itself, the exposed brick and the killer chandeliers really encapsulated the vibe we wanted. Our vendors also appreciated the more practical set-up of the space for ease of use (lighting, access to power, entrances, etc.), showing the expertise with which the venue was designed. The space is also totally handicap accessible, from parking to ramps within the venue itself, which was necessary for some of our guests. We were planning the wedding on a short time frame, and Niko and Mary were incredibly flexible with our needs. Their background in hospitality showed, we always felt that our big day was just as important to them. They had connections to vendors in the area and helped us narrow down who would be best for our needs. We were worried about the menu and bar package given our group had some pretty varied dietary restrictions, but their options were totally customizable all in-house, our guests had plenty of great choices. All of the staff were friendly and professional, the day ran smoothly from setting up the ceremony, serving drinks, flipping the room for the reception, and serving dinner. We highly recommend Union Mills as an event space and are appreciative to Niko and Mary for helping us!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Alyssa, their wedding coordinator, and all of the staff at Maryland National Golf Club. Alyssa is very professional, detail oriented, and super easy to work with. She gave us exactly what we asked for and everything we didn't know we needed. She made perfect recommendations based on who we are as a couple, and filled in the gaps with details we had forgotten about. The staff as well was extremely friendly and easy to work with. After our wedding, our families, guests, photographer, and DJ could not say enough good things about Alyssa and the staff here! Maryland National Golf Club itself provided a beautiful, intimate setting for our wedding. We had a little over 90 guests and a wedding party of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. We used the outdoor ceremony space and rented white chairs from the venue. They were set up exactly the way we asked, and it turned out beautiful. We also rented their white arbor for the ceremony itself and asked for it to be set up in front of the beautiful greenery and plants on the right side. We provided decorations for the chairs and the arbor, and Alyssa and her staff set everything up perfectly. We also used the inside, upstairs space for our reception. We decided to have our sweet-heart table in front of big windows, and the tables for our guests set up around the rented dance floor in the center of the room. Appetizers and food were served in the space to the right of of their fireplace. Again, it was intimate and perfect! We provided decor for the tables as well and rented their candle vases and Alyssa made everything so beautiful. Everything flowed well, and guests were easily able to move around and find everything. We also used their catering services, and everything was phenomenal! Another aspect of our wedding that our guests could not say enough about. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue was. The day of our wedding, I did not feel stressed or worried about any details coming together because I knew everything was prepared and being taken care of by Alyssa and their capable staff. They gave a dream day that my husband and I will treasure forever.

Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. I had my wedding reception at the Fredericksburg Country Club in August 2019. I had a rather large reception, and it was a little confusing in the last month of planning because of the number of international/traveling guests - no matter how many times I emailed Amy, called her, texted her she always was prompt and professional - honestly if I sent her a smoke signal I truly believe she would have responded quickly while still managing to quell any anxieties! If you haven't been to the country club, while the pictures are beautiful, they do not do the place justice. When planning our wedding we wanted a place that was very "Virginia" and classic. With its vaulted ceiling in the ballroom, the wall of windows facing the rappahannock river, the beautiful parlors, and pristine grounds, this was exactly the place! I can not speak on how highly I recommend the FCC for any event - they will help you meet your dreams effortlessly.
