If you're the kind of couple that would prefer their photographer feel like one of the guests as opposed to a paparazzi, and if when the neighbors complain about the noise, you just invite them to the party, keep reading. I take a documentary-style approach to my weddings. Roaming with a camera, I capture the candid moments and small details that make your wedding unique to you, while making sure to set aside time for a few special portraits.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph was our spectacular wedding photographer this summer, and she blew us away with her creativity, warmth, and skill. She is such a joy to work with, and pours her heart into the process of capturing love on film! Steph is professional and accommodating and made sure that our love story was showcased in the photos. Her attention to detail is superb--she made one photo that was an overlay of my Maid of Honor's speech with the photo of her delivery that is an absolute piece of art! Steph is also just a really cool and interesting person that anyone would be lucky to share space with! She made out guests feel comfy and beautiful, and we cannot recommend her enough!!!!

Hello! I’m the man behind the camera, capturing moments with deep passion for a couple of decades. What began as a simple hobby quickly grew into a mission to freeze time and immortalize your joyous occasions, candid moments, and raw emotions. My goal is to make my photos more than just images—they’re reflections of your most cherished moments, creating a deep connection between you and your memories. My work isn’t just a transaction; it’s about fostering a friendly, approachable environment where you feel comfortable and enjoy the process. I hope you come to love your photos as much as I love creating them.

Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

Hi, I’m Bridget — but you can call me Bee, cause that’s what my friends call me! And since we’re basically already best friends, let me tell you a secret: taking pictures isn’t even the thing I love most about my job. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m as obsessed with taking gorgeous, dripping-in-light photos that you’ll look back on for ages as much as the next photographer. But what I really love? Meeting the most kind-hearted people and getting to know them on a level much deeper than the typical client-photographer relationship.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we first spoke with Bridget, we knew we had found the perfect wedding photographer. Her photography style, her attention to detail, and her bubbly, yet calm, demeanor all contributed to the fantastic work she did for our wedding. Her communication was always organized and succinct, putting our minds at ease throughout the planning process. Most importantly, the quality of her work was truly amazing - Her classic, beautiful photography captured all the special moments of our day, going above and beyond our expectations. Not only was her photography the best that we've seen, it was also SO timely - We had sneak peeks within a few days of our wedding. Bridget was an absolute joy to work with, serving not just as our photographer, but as a wedding guide and hype woman, too! She kept our entire timeline running smoothly and made Brooke (the bride) feel so beautiful and special. Bridget has become more than just a vendor/photographer to us - she's a friend, and we plan to use her services for all of our big life events in the future. Choosing her as your photographer will be the best decision you make for your wedding day!

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Jessica was our wedding photographer, and she was amazing! She made us feel comfortable, kept us laughing, and captured beautiful, candid moments. Her warm and funny personality made the day even more special. We highly recommend Jessica and look forward to having her photograph more of our life’s moments in the future!

I am a Professional Journalist and Wedding Photographer from the Hudson Valley and NYC with more than 11 years and over 1,000 Weddings of experience, from most cultural and religious backgrounds you can find in New York :) Now Booking 2025 and 2026.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are so lucky to have had Anecdote Photography as our wedding photographers. From the moment we first spoke with them, their communication style was immediate, detail-oriented, friendly, and respectful. The quality of their work was flawless - the photos are beautiful and creative, and they had such an easygoing presence that put us at ease on our wedding day. Eddie, our lead photographer, was one of the best parts of our special day. He was extremely organized and helped lay out the timeline perfectly, and he was so thoughtful - he even had extra bobby pins on hand when my hair needed a touch-up, and he helped the groomsmen with their boutonnieres at the church. We cannot recommend Anecdote Photography highly enough - their attention to detail is impeccable, and they are truly wonderful to work with. Please consider them for your next event!

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

Hello!! My name is Lyn! I am a long time wedding photographer who’s also a wife, mom of three, a soldier in the US Army, and an EMT! I love my passion for photography and it’s been a true pleasure working with each couple I’ve watch get married! When I’m booked as your photographer, you get more than just photography! I’m available day or night, I become a psychologist, makeup artist when brides cry, a hairdresser when making the photos perfect and a bodyguard who gives her couples something special! I look forward to connecting with all of you beautiful brides planning your magical day!

We never thought we would find a photographer in our price range. Lyn helped us more than we could ever have thought. We were on a very tight budget and asked to removed some of the items in her package to ensure she would be the one to photograph our wedding. She was immensely passionate about our family struggles and understood that we were paying for our wedding with no help from family. Any questions I had even when they weren’t pertaining to photography, Lyn did research and found deals that helped us save money. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer to work with than Lyn. She walked through every step of my wedding with us and when my wedding came, Lyn an Melissa were more than I could have ever expected! They were so personable, professional, and made sure we were comfortable every moment we were with them! After our wedding we had continually gotten compliments on how fantastic they were and how they always had a smile and never got upset when our guests asked for photos of themselves with others! When we received our photos, they absolutely blew our minds! I cried so many happy tears because I never thought I could look so beautiful! I can’t thank Lyn and Melissa enough for how spectacular they truly are! I promise you will never be disappointed after booking Lyn to be your photographer!

Kathryn Cooper Weddings

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,600
  • Serves Tuxedo Park, NY

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

Caitlinn Mahar-Daniels

I began shooting weddings in 2011 and have shot over 300 weddings from coast to coast, north and south, and in Europe. I was born on a dirt road in Texas but raised in New York. The Hudson Valley has been my home for over 30 years. I have a passion for riding my motorcycle Betty, travel, hiking, my 2 huskies, my rescue cats, and my 100+ thriving houseplants. I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art Photography and a minor in Art History. My approach to photography is deeply rooted in my love an appreciation for art and the human form. As someone who loves love, I know how special your day is. My goal is to capture that magic.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to have Caitlinn as our wedding photographer. She is unbelievably talented and has an incredible ability to capture the emotions of each moment. Caitlinn pays close attention to the small details, from the way we held hands to the expressions on our guests' faces, bringing every precious memory to life in her photos. I first met Caitlinn when she was the photographer for my best friend's wedding, which happened to be on one of the coldest days of the year. I’ll never forget Caitlinn’s energy and enthusiasm—despite the chill, she was a warm and positive presence, making everyone feel comfortable and excited. After that, I knew she would be the perfect choice for our wedding as well. We booked Caitlinn for our engagement photos, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how stunning the photos were! She even joined us on a cold winter hike, creating such a relaxed and fun atmosphere that I told my husband afterward, “I want to be friends with her.” That’s how wonderful she is! On our wedding day, Caitlinn made me feel absolutely incredible. She was professional, timely, and brought a sense of calm and joy that made the day even more special. Caitlinn is so efficient that we received our sneak peek photos the very next day, and they were breathtaking! Despite shooting two weddings after ours, she had all our photos to us within three weeks—unbelievable! I cannot recommend Caitlinn highly enough. Not only is she incredibly talented and attentive to every detail, but she is also the kind of person you want to have around on your special day. Her warmth and positivity light up the room, and we are beyond grateful to have had her as our photographer.

There are so many lovely things to be said about Julia. Her photos of our wedding took my breath away! From the first intro call, Julia was pleasant to work with. Talking with her was so easy, like we were already friends with her! Throughout planning, Julia was always responsive, flexible, and made it easy for us to provide the information she would need for the day to run smoothly. She even helped us map out the timeline of the day. My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but her photographing style was very natural and helped put us at ease. Our pictures came out so beautifully – I really feel like they capture organic moments of joy and love between us. I can’t thank Julia enough for the incredible work she did - I know we will cherish these photos for a lifetime!

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

Erica is AMAZING!!! From our very first consultation call with her, my fiancé and I knew she was the best choice for our engagement shoot and wedding. We laughed and chatted and felt comfortable right off the bat. I have been told that you end up being around your wedding photographer more than almost anyone else on your wedding day - so it's super important you feel comfortable around them, so I was thrilled to feel like I have known her for years just over a Zoom call! Then, she managed to fit us in her schedule last minute, and drive over 3 hours to us in the Greater Boston area to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! She frolicked around the park in the cold with us, LITERALLY climbing in and out of bushes and trees to get these gorgeous shots. You couldn't tell by the photos... but I was super duper nervous going into the shoot. I’m not a huge fan of my picture being taken… and the thought a professional camera made me feel extremely anxious. But Erica was so kind, and calm, and made me laugh and feel comfortable literally immediately!!! My fiancé and I are sooooo awkward too, but she expertly posed us in many different ways that make us look like pros LOL! A day that I had so much anxiety for… ended up being such a blast for both of us, truly. JUST THE SHOOT IN ITSELF will be a wonderful memory we will cherish forever. And then she got us the photos in record time, I couldn't believe it! So fast!!! And to no surprise, they were all incredible. It's so hard to choose a favorite, I have like 10 haha. I am beyond excited to have her shoot our wedding in the future. Five stars for EVERYTHING! Seriously. She is so incredibly talented!!!!

I started photographing weddings over 8 years ago and was influenced by the two great passions in my life at the time: landscape photography and teaching. My love for both deeply influence my wedding photography because I find inspiration in both the natural setting of a wedding as well as special moments between people. When I document weddings I am in all places at once, constantly searching for great light to highlight beautiful settings as well as the heartfelt, emotional moments...your wedding day deserves to be documented in all its glory and beauty. When I have free time I love cooking, traveling, brewing beer, hiking, and running.

We worked with Matthew on our engagement photos and wedding day photos, and we couldn't be happier. He is professional, timely, and made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera (something we're not used to at all). He caught really special moments for us and our family — easily the best pictures of our family dancing! We'll be printing pics and sending them to folks along with their thank-you notes. The day was perfect, and looking at our album afterward just made it all the more perfect.

Carroll Tice Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $4,450
  • Serves Tuxedo Park, NY

I'm Carroll, a photographer for those who love to live a happy, fun life! I'm married to the most amazing man and together we hike, travel, eat a lot of Chinese food, and watch WAY too many Friends reruns (which explains my crazy love for coffee). I'm also a fur-mom to the two most adorable (and spoiled) little fur-babies, Levi and Chloe. The more you get to know me, you’ll realize how much I love the simple moments of life and to make the most of it all!

We had the pleasure of working with Carroll as our wedding photographer, and I cannot express how thrilled my husband and I were with the entire experience. Carroll's professionalism truly stood out from the beginning to the end of our wedding journey. I lucked out that I had gotten to see Carroll in action when she photographed my best friend’s wedding and when it came time to plan our own day, we literally picked our wedding day based on Carroll’s availability. Carroll was organized, punctual, and took the time to understand our vision for the wedding. She was as taken with all the photo opportunities our venue provided as we were and her excitement over that made engagement and wedding photos even more fun. Her attention to detail and commitment to capturing every special moment was evident throughout the entire process. The pictures Carroll captured were nothing short of fantastic. She has a keen eye for composition and lighting, resulting in a collection of stunning images that perfectly encapsulate the joy and love of our wedding day. Each photo tells a story, and we are grateful to have such beautiful memories preserved through Carroll's lens. Working with Carroll was not only a professional collaboration but also a fun and memorable experience. Her warm and friendly personality created a relaxed atmosphere, making it easy for us to be ourselves in front of the camera. Carroll's ability to capture candid moments and genuine emotions added an authentic touch to our wedding album. She navigated through the day with a positive and upbeat attitude, making the photo sessions enjoyable for everyone involved. Carroll's passion for her craft was evident, and it translated into a fun and stress-free photography session on our wedding day. In the end, the final product exceeded our expectations. Carroll delivered a beautifully curated collection of images that we will cherish for a lifetime. Her talent, combined with her professionalism and friendly demeanor, makes Carroll an exceptional wedding photographer. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone in search of a photographer who not only captures breathtaking moments but also makes the entire process enjoyable and memorable.

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy was a pleasure to work with from the very first interaction I had with her. She is full of joy and excitement about her work and it really comes through. We are extremely happy with both the engagement photos and our wedding photos—especially the photos of our reception. She captured the joy and excitement of the day so incredibly well. Looking through the albums allowed us to relive the day together and gave us so many fun snaps of our guests enjoying the party. Neither of us are comfortable in front of a camera, but she somehow managed to help us relax and enjoy the experience, making the pictures even more beautiful. Cappy was there for every important moment of our day without being overwhelming. We all laughed with her during the posed shots of our family and bridal party and she managed to somehow work her way around the dance floor seamlessly to get the most amazing pictures of the party. Being able to see these and share them with family and friends has brought us so much joy and laughter. Cappy is incredibly talented, fun, and easy to work with—zero drama and all smiles. She was on time with everything, including the turnaround of the albums. She brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, Teresa, who was also amazing and they made a GREAT team. We would recommend her work to anyone!

Two Upper West Siders. Twenty blocks apart. How had we not crossed paths before? Or did we? Well, after finally matching on Hinge we made that happen and the rest is history! We have combined families and now as a family of 7 (three dogs, two cats) we have become an unstoppable force. We both share the same passion for photography, capturing the beauty all around us and making magic happen. Our dog Lucy, embodies love, kindness and poise. We couldn’t imagine naming our business after anyone but her. That’s how Love, Lucy Photography came to be.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bethany and Raquel as my wedding photographers, and I cannot speak highly enough of their talent and professionalism. From the moment we met them, they put us at ease with their warm and friendly demeanor, and we knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, they arrived early and worked tirelessly throughout the day to capture every special moment, from getting ready to the ceremony to the reception. They were unobtrusive and respectful, but also knew how to direct us and our guests to get the best shots. When we received the photos, we were absolutely blown away. The quality of their work is simply stunning, and they managed to capture so many beautiful and candid moments that we will treasure forever. The attention to detail and eye for composition are truly exceptional, and we have received so many compliments on our photos from friends and family. It’s Katie if you haven’t guessed already! I’m a photographer in the Hudson Valley. My goal is to give you the newest best friend you didn’t ask for and an incredible memory you get to keep forever. I live for the giggles, full heart felt moments and even shed a tear or two at almost every wedding I attend (just because I am so freaking happy). I can’t help but be so deeply intertwined in the moment that I get lost in the love and magic of it all.

I would HIGHLY recommend Katie. She travelled relatively far for my wedding but was energetic, easy to work with and willing to try anything to make our day special! She was timely, easy to contact and went above and beyond for my husband and I. 10/10 cannot say enough good things!

Sandi played the flute at my wedding! She played entry music and played while I walked down and back up the aisle. She sounded beautiful - kept a nice and steady flow and the perfect volume while our guests were both being seats and as folks left the church for the reception! I am so glad we chose to have a live, flutist during our big moment. If you’re interested in soothing and lovely flute music, I would easily recommend Sandi!

I’m the self-declared winner of “most likely to hear someone’s life story in unexpected places.” Whether it’s an antique shop owner telling me about her and her late husband’s favorite meal from their Italian vacation 40 years ago, or a fellow TJ Maxx customer recalling how she met her best friend of 17 years in a shared hospital room, I listen. And not a polite listen, but an I really give a shit listen. At the core of my being, I’m story obsessed. It’s why I was an English major in college and why I fell in love with photography. If there is a story to be heard, I will listen. And if there's a story to be told, I'll tell it.

We came across Lindsay’s beautiful photos on Instagram, set up a call and within the first 5 minutes we knew we wanted to have her take our wedding day photos and also be best friends with her! She was willing to travel to us for both our engagement session and wedding day. We met in person when we did our engagement session at Harkness Park in CT and she took amazing photos but was also super fun, friendly and professional. She made us genuinely laugh. It made us more excited to work with her on our wedding day as well! She arrived early, helped us stay on the timeline, took amazing photos and was so fun to be around! Even though it rained a little, she got amazing shots (getting wet in the process) and was also so creative with the shots at the venue. She even got my not-so-happy 3 year old ring bearer to smile for photos! Then the next day we had a bunch sneak peaks in our email inbox and have already received so many compliments! We cannot thank Lindsay enough for all of her hard work and cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a photographer!

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras to using flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

I'm Alex. I spend my free time with my husband and our dogs Conor & Belle. I'm lucky to live in the Hudson Valley surrounded by amazing nature and upstate lifestyle. Art is something that I fell in love with at a young age and has always carried me through life- it lead me to photography. The mixture of art and emotion is one of the things I love most about wedding photography. When you look through your collection of photos I want you to feel and see the emotion, love and fun you had on your best day ever.

Alex is AMAZING. Her photos left us in awe — I was so impressed by how she listened to my vision and adapted her style accordingly. Most of all, though, Alex excels in all things related to running a business — she’s prompt in email responses, professional with her contracts and payment process, and goes above and beyond to connect you with resources for a successful day (a last minute coordinator, in my case). This is what really sets her apart from other vendors in my opinion. Run, don’t walk, to hire Alex for your wedding!

Hello! My name is Christine and I love weddings. I have been photographing weddings since 2005 and the more I do it, the more I love it. I also love chocolate, binge-worthy television and Betty White so much, I named my dog after her.

Dear Prospective Couples, In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to hire Christine Merson for my wedding. Besides the decision to marry my husband, she was the best decision of the day. If you have the opportunity to hire this talented professional I would recommend it. You will not be disappointed. Christine planned out the timeline for the entire event with me a week before the big day. Christine is a wonderful listener and was able to provide insightful suggestions to make sure the day was a stress-free as possible. Because of her years of experience, her advice really changed the course of the event in positive ways. Moments before the outdoor ceremony, the skies opened up and there was a downpour. The venue switched the ceremony to inside. Christine and her second photographer adapted to the situation as if that was the way the ceremony was originally planned. My dad was recovering from major surgery the day of the wedding. My father-in-law and godmother were also recovering from medical issues. Four days before the wedding, my husband came down with a nasty virus. Christine and her employee were able to capture everyone with a smile and with their best foot forward. Christine captured so many special and intimate moments of my wedding day without being intrusive. I will cherish each documented memory for years to come. If you choose to work with Christine, I am sure you will feel the same way. Best wishes!

Deaudimus Photography & Design is a wedding and event photography company based in New York’s beloved Hudson Valley. As professional photographers and artists, we aim to help others create the photos they desire with quality completion all while having fun. During and after your wedding or photoshoot, you will confidently know that your photos will come out just right. Our job as professional photographers is not only within the mechanics of photography but also within the navigation of individuals and the reassurance of well-crafted work.

I truly don't think I can say enough good things about Carey and Deaudimus Photography. Our photos came out more beautiful than we imagined but more importantly Carey was amazing to work with. He made sure both our photographers were available and o. Time to two locations before our wedding; he was imaginative with the ideas he had for interesting shots at our venue and just as important, he was just a wonderful, calming person to have around on the day of our wedding. I would give him 10 stars if possible. Thank you Carey for capturing our day so perfectly!

I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. I understand that you’ve never done this before and you may not even know where to start! Don’t worry- I got you!

Finding a good photographer was high on our priority list for vendors. We got married outside in the Catskill Mountains and as such we wanted a photographer capable of capturing the depth of the forest. After looking through Sam's portfolio we knew she was good, but after working with her and seeing her work firsthand we can say she's the best. Getting your photo taken can be awkward, especially given the high stakes of a wedding. But Sam is able to make you feel immediately comfortable while simultaneously taking the most stunning photos you'll ever see. We also had a connection session with her, which we would highly recommend so that you can know how she works - very fun and relaxed, but professional. Sam helped us outline the entire day of the wedding, and based on her knowledge the day went off without a hitch. We're so grateful she agreed to work with us!

My name is Robenson Charles, and I am a Haitian born, Brooklyn raised portrait and event photographer from New York. What I do involves the best thing in the world and that's to captivate cherishable moments of life, love, and memories through photography. During this new transition in my life, I learned that photography isn't something you "do", it's something you grow into and boy did it grow! Each day I learned new techniques, researched any information on photography, and took part in classes to strengthen my skills. As a result, this new insight was birthed off of how I visualize the world's most intimate moments and turn it into art.

Rob was sooo amazing! Long story short, we hired him for our wedding but we ended up moving our states wedding to destination. We asked if we can put our deposit towards an engagement shoot instead. He did such an amazing job and he was so prepared day of. He bought his equipment and even a DRONE!! We went to two locations, the American Museum of Natural History and the Castle on the Upper West side of Central Park. He let us be us but also posed us. We felt at ease and taken care of. He sent us back the photos pretty quickly too! 11/10 recommend!!

Welcome! I'm Anita. I aim to freeze moments in time, ensuring they never fade away. Awkward in front of the camera? No worries, I am too that's why I'm always behind it 🙈 I provide plenty of guidance/direction so you aren't feeling awkward, and are enjoying yourselves! My packages include a complimentary engagement session so we can work together & get to know each-other beforehand. My goal is to feel like you're just having a fun time with a friend and re-living your first dates all over again. **Bonus points if you love Harry Potter, rock/metal music and Zelda!**

I had hired a photographer for budgetary reasons and about two weeks before my wedding panicked because I wanted another style of photography. Anita literally saved the day, thank god she was available! She worked so flexibly with the other photographer, capturing some of my absolute favorite photos of the entire day. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hi, I'm Jen -- a semi-awkward, nice person and a wedding photographer based out of the Catskills of New York. I am a huge fan of dogs. I love to tell stories -- even more so, I love to tell side stories, so rambling - I guess I just love rambling. I'm down to earth - easy going - and always intimated by writing descriptions about myself.

I've worked alongside Jen of Story & Gold Weddings for a few years and I can honestly say that besides being an incredibly talented photographer, Jen is an all-around wonderful person. She's creative, kind, reliable, and dedicated to creating a high-quality product and experience for her couples - and her artistic vision on wedding days continuously blows me away. I recommend Jen to all my family and friends who are looking for a modern, bold approach to wedding photography - don't hesitate to hire her!!

Rebecca has been working as a professional photographer for over 10 years. She began with a small film camera, taking photos at her favorite concerts. As she grew, so did her unique style and her passion. She attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ca. and obtained a BA in Advertising Photography. Over the past 10 years she has had the opportunity to photograph events in places such as Portland, Or., San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Monterey, Ca., Washington DC, Florida and now New York City. Rebecca was amazing from the first time we spoke. We loved our engagement shoot so much that we couldn't wait to see her work her magic for our wedding day. We are completely obsessed with the photos that we received and Rebecca's responsiveness through the entire process. She was a joy to work with and her work is beautiful. Hi, Thanks for reading! Here's my photography short story: 2017, after 13 years of teaching, I said goodbye to the classroom and pursued Olympic weightlifting photography- my company was Everyday Lifters. Shortly after, I launched my wedding business. The Long Version: Weightlifting has taken me to places like Turkmenistan, Germany, & across the country! The weightlifters started getting married, and along the way, I received training to advocate for diverse bodies as a photographer. During this time of transition, I started taking documenting courses through the International Center of Photography and work on documenting local stories.

Ahh you made it this far and I am so happy that you are here. Come get to know me a little bit better… I am a Hudson Valley photographer who occasionally dips their toes in NJ too. Having fun and capturing special moment with your loved ones and families is what makes my day. I am a girl mom to my favorite tiny human RyRy and a fire fighters’ wife and when you don’t see me behind a camera or working my full-time job as a graphic designer, I am usually soaking up the sun at the beach or outdoors doing something fun with my family.

I cannot say enough good things about Katie. Just after the first wedding of the season, I knew Katie was amazing. I didn't HAVE to check-in with her and make sure everything was covered- she was just doing it. It's exactly what you need on a wedding day- someone who can come in, stay in the background, ask questions to learn more, and keep everything flowing when you are tied up. Can't wait to work with Katie again so soon!!
