I have been in the design business since 2004. Weddings have truly been a passion for me. I will work with any budget to make couples vision come true. Charlevoix has been our summer residence since 1989. My husband grew up in Charlevoix so our roots are deep.

There's nothing I enjoy more than narrating couples' love stories from start to finish on their big day. I take the time to get to know my couples personally, which allows me to incorporate customized elements into every aspect of their wedding - from the overall aesthetic and theme to the lighting and decor. My goal is to create a unique and unforgettable experience that reflects the couple's individuality and love story.

Established in 2019, Up North Events is a wedding planning company in Northern Michigan. I have always had a passion for planning, coordinating, and managing. Brainstorming unique event ideas or helping someone else’s vision come to life sparks a fire in me. This lead me to the go back to school pursuing a degree in project management and communications. After graduating, I worked for a premier wedding venue in northern Michigan and decided to venture off on my own. This is how light the Way Events was born!

Day of we are there for set up, clean up, deco, keeping deserts filled, tables clear, timeline on track, keeping bridal party hydrated and fed. Keeping vendors on track. Take the stress off of you. Need errands ran that day we have you covered. You always get 2 coordinators on the day of your wedding. We have no time caps.
