We hired Erin for our month of coordinator almost 2 years in advance. From the beginning, she was very responsive, informative, kind, and helpful. I am pretty organized, and she consistently thought of questions I didn't! I was very impressed with her demeanor with myself and the rest of our vendors. Our venue required a pre-approved coordinator, and Erin took the steps to contact them to make sure she would work out, and we are so glad she did! She did everything she said she would and then some. She reached out to all of our vendors, worked with us on our timeline (many times!), attended our rehearsal, and never got frustrated even when we had a lot going on. Erin felt more like a friend than a coordinator, and we are so happy we got to spend our special day with her. I can not be more grateful and pleased with Sam if I tried!! I hired her for The Day of Coordinator to help everything run smoothly. Her professionalism & knowledge was just what we needed to make this happen. Her sweet personality was a huge bonus and made us feel so comfortable and at ease. The communication between her and my daughter was excellent. Sam was very prompt with answering any of my daughter’s questions prior, during and after the wedding. Her service fee is VERY reasonable. She traveled from Dayton, three hours each way, for the rehearsal and for the wedding !! Sam and her team helped box all the centerpieces and miscellaneous items while we were still enjoying the evening. This was a huge help and I was very thankful for the extra time that was freed up for us to spend with family and friends. There was a small hiccup with our food caterer and Sam quickly jumped in and solved the problem. I could not have asked for a more perfect day for my daughter, it was everything she dreamed of and we were all stress free thanks to Sam. I would HIGHLY recommend The Black Barn Event Planning. Sam is amazing at what she does!!

Kristen provided partial planning services for my December wedding and was exceptional! I reached out to Kristen after I had to make a fairly last minute change to have my wedding locally in Pittsburgh with only four months to plan the wedding. I was a bit panicked and anxious about having so little time to plan the wedding. From the get go, Kristen eased my nerves and assured me I could still have the wedding I wanted. Kristen was definitely right and exceeded her assurances. With the exception of the caterer, I relied on Kristen's recommendations for vendors and every vendor she recommended was fantastic. A few weeks before the wedding, I had to cancel and book another caterer. Kristen jumped in immediately and assisted in any way she could to onboard the new caterer and make sure all of the rentals were handled - turning this potentially huge wedding issue into just another blip in the wedding planning process. The day of - Kristen had everything covered. Everything went so smoothly and was just the best wedding I could have hoped for. The next morning, I woke up in a panic thinking about all of the things I had forgotten to take from the venue because I was in wedding bliss mode. Unsurprisingly, this panic was for nothing because Kristen had everything covered! She definitely went above and beyond to help in anyway she could. On top of that, she was a joy to work with! I really can't say enough good things about Kristen and would highly recommend her.

If you are looking for a day of coordinator you NEED to hire Melissa and Kourtney! They were nothing but amazing! I hired them for day of coordination for prior to that you’ll have 2 meetings and be able to call/text Melissa about anything you’ll need! She did a fantastic job coordinating the rehearsal and making sure everyone knew what they were doing. The day of the hemming on my underskirt was falling apart because my shoes had rhinestones and I could barely walk because how tangled it was! The minute Melissa and Kourtney got there, they pulled out their scissors and safety pins and fixed my dress in no time! They set up my ceremony space which was absolutely beautiful and made sure everyone and everything was where it needed to be for the ceremony. After the ceremony they brought out ice water since it was so hot and then later brought us food from the cocktail hour and drinks. Which was great since we were starving! I didn’t have a dj because we had an intimate wedding and the yard games out in the patio, so Melissa announced everything for us which was amazing! I just couldn’t had made this wedding everything I’ve dreamed of without her and Kourtney! I’m sure there’s at least a million other things they did that I’m just forgetting right now that made my wedding perfect! I would give them 1,000 out of 1,000 stars if I could!

WOW! I can not say enough on how appreciative I am of Bari and Antonia. A month before my wedding I realized I desperately needed Day of Coordinators. Bari and Antonia were so responsive and assuring. They took on my wedding with such grace. No request of mine was too much. They travelled all the way to Jersey City from Philly and were so accomodating. They spent time with all our vendors on the day of the wedding, helping set up with the florist and some of my DIY decor. They made sure my ceremony procession ran smoothly. Emily is absolutely amazing! I promise you cannot go wrong by choosing her and her team to plan or help plan your wedding day. I was referred to Emily by a family member who had worked with her before and I couldn’t be happier that we chose to. We hired Emily as a “day of coordinator” which she explained is more like month of, but regardless, definitely not a whole planner (for what we hired her for). However, I was texting and calling Emily for almost 2 years leading up to my wedding and she never gave me an issue. She was so prompt at responding which led me to have a ton of trust in her as a professional with my wedding in her hands. She is so polite and understanding. She is so talented and professional. I am a very in control type of person and knew how I wanted things to be, and I really didn’t have to tell Emily much. When I arrived on site to the venue, she had things set up almost exactly how I imagined them being. She made sure the day ran as smoothly as possible and it sure did! If anything went wrong, I wasn’t aware of it because she handled pretty much everything. Coming toward the end of the night, Emily came to me and told me she cleaned up all of the tables, put all of the signage and decor all together, and cleaned up our bridal suite, therefore there wasn’t much, if anything at all for us to clean up. I was shocked because I didn’t expect her to do that. She really goes above and beyond for her clients. Her talent, advice, opinions, friendliness, professionalism, everything is just amazing. You seriously can not go wrong in hiring Emily and her team to help you with your big day!

I cannot say enough good things about Maggie as a wedding planner and person. We hired Maggie to plan our wedding from start to finish and it was the best decision we made. To offer context, we tasked Maggie with taking an old, rather outdated country club, and asked her to transform the venue all while managing accommodations for over 260 people. Additionally, the country club was a complete blank canvas which required us to bring in vendors for every single detail. Not only did Maggie handpick top-notch vendors and successfully manage them all, but she did so with the most calm and pleasant demeanor. The country club manager said that out of the many wedding planners he has worked with over the years, Maggie is by far the best because she was enjoyable to work with and incredibly good at her job. We couldn't agree more. My entire family is thankful for Maggie and what she did for us. She was a rockstar from the moment we met her and even after the wedding when she kindly held a ton of wedding supplies at her home so that we didn't have to worry about grabbing them the day after the wedding. As a bride who has dreamed of her wedding day for as long as I can remember, I can confidently say Maggie Mitchell Events made my dreams come true!

We had so many questions and worries but Charissa helped us feel at ease throughout it all. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND on the day of the wedding... literally hauling extra chairs with her throughout the botanic gardens so we could get our photographs!! LOL! You can just tell how much she cares about her clients and we so appreciated the effort. Denae is the most professional person I’ve ever met. From day one she had a plan and she was sticking to it. Throughout the entire process, Denae was there to calm my nerves. On my arrival, parking was easy and there were clear directions made for all attendees. When I arrived I was greeted by Justine, and assisted with my bags by others staffed by Justine to offer helping hands to my work area that was separate, clean, and spacious. My work area had amazing lighting already set up, a chair and table set up, and a personalized gift bag and refreshments waiting for me. I thought that it was above and beyond with service for her vendors. It felt good to work in an environment where I walked in with great impressions, service, and appreciation for my services rendered. I was grateful to have a setup that allowed me to work with ease and comfort. Each person who required makeup had a time slot and was on time and prepped very well. Justine did a wonderful job at making sure everyone was aware of what was going on and where we would be, if working. I appreciated her attentiveness to detail and how through her planning was executed. I also received an itinerary of the event and it was filled with beautiful moments and fun. As an attendee the setup of the event space was gorgeous. There was plenty of refreshments in a spacious and well decorated area. The food was also amazing. I loved the cultural diversity that she offered at her event to make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. While I didn’t come knowing many people, because of the events and ice breaker games that we played, I left making many new acquaintances. Justine’s event was flawless and I look forward to working with her anytime and in the nearby future.
