Liz was absolutely amazing to work with. She was quick to respond to me when I initially reached out regarding her services. She was very helpful and attentive during our trial run before my wedding, talking me through all her questions and figuring out what I wanted. On my big day, she showed up early/on time, was able to talk to my bridal party and quickly figure out what they wanted and make everyone look for natural and beautiful for our day. She was so down to earth and easy to work with. I would 100% pick her again and again.

Bixby + Pine

5.0

  • Florist
  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Taholah, WA

Bixby + Pine began in 2014 officially, but unofficially YEARS before that as three best friends planned everything with intense detail--birthday parties, carnivals, talent shows, and everything in between. B+P couples are people who value experiences and relationships, above all else.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I had a very clear vision of what we wanted for our wedding going into planning. We found an amazing venue that fit the vibe we were looking for, but it was an empty venue with no tables, chairs, staff, lighting, etc. We were so lucky that to find Bixby Pine, because not only have they worked at our venue before, but also understood our vision straightaway. I am very type A and anxious, so when it came to planning I liked to have everything done on the early side. Shortly after we teamed up with BP, we had selected our photographer, florist, and decided where we would get our stationary from. BP provided wonderful suggestions for vendors and many of the ones we choose for our wedding, BP had worked with previous and it helped everything run smoothly. They made me feel so comfortable about how the day would run, and set up everything beautifully. They also helped figure out the best way to handle a sensitive situation that came up with one of our guests. One of the things my partner and I were not prepared to plan when we booked an empty venue space, was arranging all the clean up and trash removal. BP took care of that without us having to worry about it at all. I am so happy we had them to help us plan and coordinate our day.

White Lotus Farm was an absolute gem of a wedding venue. We had an amazing experience working with their team from start to finish. They were always very responsive over email, getting back to us extremely quickly whenever we had a question. On the big day itself, they were collaborative, communicative, and went the extra mile to ensure things went smoothly - like letting our less mobile guests use their golf cart to get around. For the quality of service and sheer beauty of the venue and grounds, White Lotus Farm is excellent value for your money. My husband and I could not recommend them more highly for your special event - they truly helped make our wedding a dream come true. Stephanie Bulthuis Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Taholah, WA

I am so glad you found your way here! My name is Steph (it's lovely to meet you!). I was born and raised overseas in Sri Lanka and moved to the beautiful PNW for college and decided to stay. The world and the people in it are too beautiful not to be art - so here we are creating art out of the beautiful moments you and your lives bring into being. Besides taking photos, I am a big fan of milk tea, hedgehogs, my kid and husband, sleeping in, summer, curry, and friends to share it with. I would love to hear more about you and your story and how I can help document some of your beautiful moments!

Everything about working with Stephanie was wonderful. She took both our engagement and wedding photos. For our engagement photos we were so thankful for the way she made us feel so comfortable and natural taking photos and left feeling like it was a really fun experience. Stephanie took time to meet with us before our wedding to talk through all the details of what type of photos we wanted and the logistics of who. She even offered to bring another photographer for a few hours of our day to make sure we were able to get all the shots we wanted. She was really efficient and experienced on our wedding day and got photos of every part of the day. She was really great relationally with our families, wedding party and guests. We didn't end up going with a videographer and felt really satisfied in the end with all the photos that helped us relive the day. Her style of editing is really natural and beautiful without a lot of filters. We had friends who know more about the art of photography ask us who took our photos because they were struck by this. We highly recommend Stephanie as an experienced photographer who makes you feel so comfortable and special on your wedding day.

Wow.. I wish I could give them 1,000 out of 10! Where do even start with these magical women at Space Lotus Flower Collective?! I was so overwhelmed with all of the other pieces to my wedding that I had pretty much no vision for how I wanted my flowers to look. I gave them COMPLETE creative control and I am SO GLAD. I would honestly recommend just handing over their reigns and trusting them because what they came up with was so beyond anything I could have imagined. The flowers somehow ended up setting the tone for my entire wedding and cultivated such beauty for me and my guests. First Natalie and Jules created a vision board that somehow captured a vision I didn't even know I had, and then they brought that vision to life (beyond my wildest dreams!) Natalie's installation was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. I actually cried the next day when she took it down. I felt like I was getting married in some sort of magical fairyland - it looked so alive and like it was growing out of the ground. We wanted every single one of our guests to walk under it as they took their seats and the ooohs and ahhhs could be heard from across the property. I have truly never seen anything like it before. For my reception I wore a flower crown that was designed and handmade by Jules. The crown made me felt like an actual princess. I love how it came across in the photos and how it matched the rest of the flower vision - and somehow matched my joy and love. The bouquets were stunning. The boutonnieres were simple and strong. The tables were magical. The amount of time and love they put into growing and sculpting (yes sculpting) their flower creations was so palpable and felt by all of our guests. These women are true artists and are amazing to work with. Their kindness and excitement for me made me feel so seen and supported, and the beauty that they created helped me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I am tearing up just remembering it. Anyway, I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

Annaliesa (and mark) went above and beyond. They helped us set up and break down. Anna was determined to get things done to the point we had to actually make her stop and eat. She cleared out chair to make a dance floor. She even helped with our kids while we were running around and getting ready. Mark even made me a plate of food and made me sit down to eat in the middle of all the chaos. Which I really appreciated. They were on top of everything! And she got all of our pics back to us in less than 24 hours!! We love all our pics and are so thankful we have these memories captured.

Getting married at Camp Parsons was great. Josh Cunningham, the camp director, went above and beyond to help us with our special day. Josh answered any and all questions, answering with the most friendly, helpful attitude. The camp is situated in a private and gorgeous area, right on the bay. If you/guest love camping this is a great place to rent out for a long weekend wedding. We rented out the whole camp Friday-Sunday afternoon and our guests had a blast. Because the camp is nestled between forest and ocean it afforded us a lot of opportunities for amazing pictures. Founded in 2003, Essence of the Thymes is committed to providing extreme service and exemplary food, always served safely and tastefully. Owner Gina Omalanz stepped onto the catering scene with the goal to create a fresh new take on catering that provided delicious, restaurant quality food and service. Friends and family worked together to remodel a kitchen on the downtown Port Orchard Waterfront, and you can still find us there today! What started out as a dream has become a business that feels more like family. We welcome you to become part of the Essence Family!

Essence of the Thymes really went the distance to make my wife and I's wedding a great experience. They catered (pun intended!) to our needs from the food itself and our dietary needs right down to how the serving ware and other dishes looked. Since we did a book-themed wedding, they decided, without us having to ask, to incorporate their own cookbooks into the overall display which really helped add that extra touch. Communication throughout the process was always clear and pleasant, and the staff at the event were amazing. 11/10 would recommend.

Our staff includes a large network of local, licensed, and experienced Bartenders, ready to serve your guests with speed, professionalism, and a friendly smile.

As a wedding coordinator/florist turned bride, KBS is my favorite team in the business and I was thrilled when I discovered they had a team up north where my wedding took place- originally, I'd thought we were out of their range. They very professionally managed the bar line, took great care of the glassware, kegs, equipment, and my custom butterfly drink markers, and were extremely communicative before and after the wedding. Their bar planning content for booked couples is also extremely helpful, even for someone who's already in the industry. Hope to work with y'all again soon now that I'm back on the BTS side of the wedding industry!

St. Paul’s Church sits on a sloping grass bluff overlooking the waters of Port Gamble Bay. The church, built in 1879, is modeled after a church in the Maine hometown of Port Gamble’s founders. One of the most photographed buildings in the area, the picturesque church steeple houses the original church bell, and wedding couples thrill to the sound of the church bell ringing as they are pronounced married. Hood Canal Vista Pavilion offers breath-taking panoramic views and stunning sunsets over the Hood Canal while surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. In the Pavilion, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace sits opposite abundant windows overlooking lush seasonal gardens . Six sets of French doors lead to a slated patio and an expansive grassy bluff right on the shores of the Hood Canal. In the spring and summer months, an adjacent tented terrace offers an additional location for a reception, dance floor and/or cocktail hour.

We had about 100 people and everyone was able to sit and watch and enjoy our pre-wedding event. We had so much fun and the venue is beautiful.

IslandWood

IslandWood, a forested 250-acre island oasis just 35 minutes from Seattle, offers the perfect Pacific Northwest setting for your destination wedding. Exchange vows surrounded by lush forests, serene ponds, and enchanting gardens. Celebrate with loved ones in rustic elegance, enjoying delicious, sustainable cuisine and exploring nature trails, treehouses, and a canopy tower. Your special day at IslandWood also supports environmental education, making your celebration even more meaningful.

We LOVED our wedding at IslandWood! I worked on the events team at IslandWood from 2019-2021, before shifting careers completely. I always loved to work the weddings, and imagined that my dream wedding would be there one day. I am so so happy that I was able to make that dream come true!! IslandWood goes above and beyond to make the guests' and bride & groom's experiences absolutely perfect! I personally already knew the food would taste amazing, as I used to always eat the leftovers when I worked there. But eating food from a menu that my husband and I got to custom design with Jim was truly an unforgettable experience. All of the guests loved the food, and Jim and his team tackle every request that you throw their way! My husband is Dominican, and Jim made sure that the Dominican food he made was authentic and delicious. At one point, my husband's aunts asked whether a Dominican was working in the kitchen! Moreover, Erica, our event planner, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect weekend! IslandWood is a magical place, and your wedding will be magical if you choose to have it there. Yes, it is pricey, but the experiences that you, your family, and your friends will leave with are truly invaluable!

It all begins with passion. My name is Min Wright. I am a Licensed & Certified Master Makeup Artist with 6+ Years of Experience in Airbrush, Bridal, Boudoir, Creative Shoots From Natural Beauty Enhancement to Romantic, Classic Looks, or everything in between. I am honored to be considered as your trusted Makeup Artist! My passion for hair and makeup came at a very early age. I would get home from school and do nothing else other than watch hundreds of hair and makeup videos on YouTube. I would then experiment with different kinds of makeup applications and hairstyles for myself, my friends, and my family.

I absolutely loved my wedding make up and hair! Min’s services were very high quality. I went for a natural look with a bit of shine and Hollywood waves. She nailed it! She was on time, used great products, and made the getting ready process relaxing and fun. My bridesmaids looked amazing as well as I was able to treat them with the services, because it was so affordable!

Lemonade Photography

I never meant to be a wedding photographer - but somehow, here I am. I started my career as a newspaper reporter, and left that to be a writer and photographer for a public university. Almost 10 years into my second career, I was laid off - so I turned some pretty sour lemons into Lemonade Photography. I'm a lifelong Northwesterner, a mom to two boys, a nature lover, a proud geek and quite possibly the biggest Harry Potter fan you'll ever meet (don't challenge me to a Potter trivia contest; you WILL lose). I love to laugh, and I love to make my clients laugh along with me.

We have been an Interactive Wedding DJ/MC at over 1500 weddings, and we Highly recommend Jill @ Lemonade Photography! If you are looking for someone who will capture beautiful memories on camera Jill is amazing. We always love her professionalism & wonderful customer service. Photography is an Art and Jill @ Lemonade Photography has got it down. It takes more than a “point & shoot” to be a photographer, it takes time, an artistic eye and raw talent! Not only does Jill encompass these qualities, she also has a great sense of what a person is really looking for through the eye of a lens. She takes her time to find …just the right shot. If you are looking for a photographer that “listens” to what you want, Jill is the one. Not only is she always professional in her work and technique, she is friendly too. Her talent for catching those perfect moments shows in each and every picture!! She captures the most perfect pictures! I can’t say enough good things about Jill. She makes people feel very comfortable right away and is very professional. She does amazing work and knows how to capture the essence of a relationship in one little picture. Jill is also very easy to get along with, patient, and very professional. We recommend her to everyone! Scott & Jina Fijolek AskDJScott.com

Sound Originals did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! Ari and Ali were very professional and they understood how to set up good shots. I'm amazed by how good the lighting was in most of the photos, even in some rooms at the church that weren't as well lit. There are a few photos I wish had been full body rather than cut off at the ankles, oh well. At the end of the night when our coverage had ended before the wedding did, they waited till the end of a song before saying goodbye instead of interrupting, which we greatly appreciated.

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Taholah, WA

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Just rent the flowers y’all - after getting multiple thousands of dollars in quotes from florists for our tiny dinner party wedding I started to look for other options. SSB had great reviews, in person or zoom consultations and a VERY helpful FB group that helped me pull the trigger even being pretty skeptical that the quality wouldn’t be there. Fast forward to the day I unboxed them and I was floored, some of the petals even FEEL REAL. Don’t know how they do it. Shipping was easy, fast and return labels were in sticker form to just pop back on. Our guests had no idea they weren’t real, especially with our low light reception it was impossible to tell. It was a breezed - we spent about 450 for 9 large centerpieces, bouquet and a few boutonnières for the guys from the Marlowe collection rather than the 2-3k quite well we’re getting from florists here in Atlanta that at the end of the day aren’t sustainable and would have looked the same (at best). Just rent the flowers y’all.
