Hi, I'm Madi! I'm the owner and lead photographer for Essence of Us Photography. I've always loved photography, but being able to combine art with the opportunity to tell real love stories is an absolute dream job. I specialize in both weddings and elopements/micro weddings, which means my job never looks the same from one day to the next. One day, I might capture an elopement in Mt. Rainier National Park and the next, I'm inside an industrial-chic venue in Pioneer Square. My job is always exciting and I wouldn't change a thing about it!

I believe capturing beautiful photos isn't just about technical skill -- it's also about an artistic mindset combined with the drive to serve my couples to the best of my ability. There's no one-size-fits-all approach here. Your needs are different from those of my other couples, so I customize your experience to you. While no two clients are ever the same, my end goal always is: to deliver visually stunning images that are artistically meaningful and authentically you! I like to strike a balance between genuine, candid moments and classic posed shots for a well-rounded final gallery.

    I’ve worked with Madi more than once, with her as the photographer at weddings I’ve officiated. She is SO fun and gets even her most anxious couples to relax. She’s super easy to talk to with always friendly and prompt communication. Her work is absolutely gorgeous, even in challenging settings where there are unwanted objects (or people) potentially ruining the background of a photo. {in the photos I’m sharing, there were kids behind us playing in the creek AND a bunch of people the other direction on the beach at the lake!} She is up for an adventure, which makes her perfect for elopements in places like forests, beaches, etc. She’s able to capture both the intimacy of the moment and the grandeur of the landscape at the same time. HIGHLY recommend!!
