Its sanctuary was constructed in 1882, making it the second oldest religious structure still standing in the Town of Amherst. Starting in 2012, a grassroots group took the initiative to save a historic structure in the heart of Amherst, VA, and to re-purpose it as a creative community center. Located in the middle of a vibrant village, the goal was to provide a gathering place for events. The class architecture and details of this circa 1880s historic building is sure to compliment any theme. The antique checkerboard flooring adds a touch of eclectic flair. Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.

MeadowCroft Farm has been a working family farm for 7 generations. Located just outside of Staunton, Virginia in the rural community of Swoope (pronounced Swope). It is named after Jacob Swoope, the first mayor of Staunton and a land developer in the late 1700s. MeadowCroft Farm is situated in southwestern Augusta County, in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We are just a short five-mile drive from the Interstate I-81 and I-64 Staunton bypass. The renovations and updates to the adjoining cabins were completed in 2018. The Inn at MeadowCroft opened to delight guests with this beautiful, historic property. Our rooms are named after members of the Swoope family in keeping with the history of the inn and the local area. Our Honorable Jacob Swoope suite is in keeping with someone of the first mayor of Staunton’s status.

Tiffin Farm is a small, regenerative farm in Free Union, Virginia. Originally built in the late 1970s, the newly renovated barn is a grand and inviting location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Today, Tiffin Farm continues to be a working farm as we raise a herd of Red Devon cattle and steward the land. Built in 2015, The Barn at Timber Creek is a family-owned wedding venue located just 1 hour west of Richmond in Farmville, VA. Our venue offers four enchanting indoor and outdoor locations to choose from, giving you greater flexibility in planning your special day: the Barn with cathedral-style ceilings and crystal chandeliers, the covered Terrace for smaller weddings, the Lawn with sweeping, waterfront views, and our most popular location - The Pines! Brides and their bridal party can pamper themselves in our Bridal Cottage, located only a short walk away from The Barn. The Barn at Timber Creek offers various packages (including Coordination Services and On-Site Lodging) to best meet your needs on the day of your wedding.
