We booked twinspin as our DJ and Photo Booths. DJ 4.5/5 We recently had our wedding and decided to hire Twin Spin Entertainment, which came recommended by our venue. While the owner, Young, was already booked, he introduced us to James, one of his experienced DJs. Our initial meeting with James went smoothly, and we felt confident moving forward with him and Twin Spin. The booking process was straightforward and easily managed through their website's client portal. The client portal also had very thorough questions such as laying out the specific songs for our ceremony, grand entrance, and first dance, etc. The client portal was also how we communicated which songs were on our do-not-play list, ceremony, dinner, and dancing. James arrived early to have everything set up and by the time our ceremony rolled around everything and everyone was ready to go. James did a great job both as an MC and DJ. While there were a couple of minor hiccups with timeline and announcements, he handled them well, keeping the flow of the event smooth. Since we had a lot of our older Asian guests, the dance floor wasn’t always packed, but we appreciated how James kept the energy up and mixed the music to appeal to everyone. The sound quality was great, and there were no major technical issues. All the microphones, speakers, and lights worked perfectly. Overall, we were very happy with Twin Spin and James, and we would definitely recommend them for any wedding or special event! Photo Booth 4.5/5 We knew we wanted to have a photobooth in our August 2024 wedding as it’s always a fun activity having attended previous weddings. Twin Spin offered this option along with their DJ services, and we selected them knowing that it would streamline and alleviate working with multiple vendors. We found their pricing reasonable after comparing other photobooth vendors. On the day of our wedding, the photobooth attendant came early to setup. She wrapped up early and our start and end time was 6-10pm which was a bit early than the original 6:30-10:30pm time. Overall the attendant was cordial and assisted our guests during use. There were slight miscommunications regarding meal and setup time, but otherwise our expectations were met. Twin Spin was able to explain and clarify this miscommunication and we provided feedback for communication for future clients. The photos turned out well, and we hope our guests took advantage of the service. The only feedback we received from our guests was that setup time was a bit slow, which we learned that it was the attendant’s first time setting up. Our vendor had good communication and responded quickly regarding our photobooth selection and receiving the photos.

We reached out to Sutherland Entertainment for our May wedding at the Berkeley City Club, and knew as soon as we spoke to Spencer that we would be moving forward with his company. Spencer was incredibly insightful, experienced, and innovative in ways that challenge standard DJ services. He offered everything from full service music and audio with club-style transitions, to station and bistro lighting, and ensured that his equipment was elegant and well suited to the venue. His style incorporated both our personal music selections, crowd pleasers, and was able to adjust to the crowd. From the time our dance floor opened to the time it closed, it was never empty. Every compliment were received the morning after the wedding included some mention of how great the DJ was, and how our Tuesday night wedding had such incredible energy. Spencer had our wedding guests doing the worm, the splits, dropping it low, and singing like no one was listening. Richard was helpful and respectful throughout our entire wedding planning process. He worked flawlessly with me, my partner, and our wedding planner to pull off an incredibly fun reception. Richard did an initial call with my partner to discuss the general vibe we were looking for, and we knew immediately he would be a great fit for our wedding. Richard gave us a helpful questionnaire to fill out key songs and general musical interests (and do not play songs). Richard was also happy to jump on calls with us to talk through our questions and hopes for our big day. I especially appreciated that Richard was able to play some German songs for some guests who had flown in from Germany, as that got even some of our older relatives on the dance floor. People were partying all night thanks to Richard! Richard catered to our wide age range of guests, and even gave us a couple of bonus closing songs that were the perfect conclusion to the night. We could not have asked for a better DJ.

I was on the fence about getting a photobooth for the wedding but I am SO glad we did! I was such a hit with our guests - everyone loved it. Brandon was so professional and great to work with. Leading up to the big day we had a quick 20-30 min meeting to discuss the wedding colors and our vision. Brandon created a mockup of the background and print outs based on the theme that had our hashtag on it, which was such a cute take-home for our guests. Brandon and his attendant were there all night to support as needed. The photobooth itself was pretty high-end - we were able to do videos, boomerangs, photos, etc. He also brought props to take photos with which were very cute. So, so much fun and definitely worth it! 10/10 recommend.

Party Ardi is someone who does it all! He was an excellent MC & he truly helped us plan our program out. We had no idea what we wanted as far as a “program,” but he didn’t hesitate to help us create a nice little timeline for our reception! It required quite a bit of music cutting and customization--Zhaldee nailed it all and we wouldn't have had the wedding we did without his expertise. He's great at reading the crowd and playing music to keep the party going! Whatever vibe you're going for, he's got it. Whatever crowd he's playing to, he knows how to work it. He's communicative, responds quickly, and I always felt assured that he was on top of everything. He showed up to the wedding looking professional and appropriately formal. I’ve been to many weddings and live music absolutely elevates the wedding compared to using a dj. But even amongst live bands, Garuda Blue is just top of the top composed of jazz musicians who all have their own flair and soul to their music. Their music is original and never the same and having them play at our wedding may have been the single best choice. From cocktail hours to dancing, the live instruments and absolutely stunning vocalist makes you really feel like you are at somewhere special. They’re also absolutely professional and kind and personable. I can’t say enough good things about them. Yes if you get a dj it’s cheaper, but you will miss out on a magical night filled with real music and what is life without real music. Don’t hesitate to think if it’s worth it or not because real great live music can transform an ordinary event to a magical one.

My wife and I went in search of an incredible wedding band and we found it with Ruby Wedding and Party Band. The whole team, from the lead singers to the sound and light techs, was amazing to work with. Every step of the way they were courteous, on top of the details, and available to hop on a Zoom or respond to an email with our venue and our wedding planner. They took it upon themselves to make sure power and sound were all taken care of *and* they even tried to make sure we had tenting for the outdoor wedding (it wasn't even their job) just to take a load off of our plate. I'd hire this band again and again, and, if they'll do it for our 5 or 10 year wedding anniversary. Thanks!

The Celebration DJ was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction, they were easy to communicate with, highly organized, and clearly very experienced in their craft. On the day of the wedding, they delivered an excellent performance that kept our guests dancing all night long. They were fun, high energy, and really played to the crowd, spinning a groovy mix of tunes that had everyone moving. At a couple points, the order of our events had to be changed on the fly, but the DJ was able to seamlessly roll with the punches and suggest the best way to adjust the schedule. They also did a fantastic job as the MC, expertly directing all of our guests and keeping the night flowing smoothly. We couldn't have been happier with the Celebration DJ and would highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding. Our venue and photographer both said they had never seen that many people on the dance floor before, a testament to how amazing he was!

We had a great experience with Second Song! Planning was super easy with the Rob team during the 9ish months leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, DJ Shredy was THE ICON of the night. We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. CONNER UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!! My husband and I gave him a few "must have" songs and explained the vibe/type of music we like- leaving him pretty much in charge of the playlist. HE NAILED IT. He played banger after banger making it impossible for myself and guests to leave the dance floor. He even included clips from some of the speeches that were given earlier in the evening. INCREDIBLE! How to begin to sing the praises of the best band there is? We’ll start with unsolicited reviews from our friends: “Would you be offended if I use your same band for my wedding? I feel like anything else would be a let down.” “What’s your band name? I have to follow them on Instagram.” “Pretty sure that was the best band I’ve seen in 20 years of weddings.” We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse, and by 20 minutes into the first set the band had amassed a crowd of passers-by who stopped to watch and listen from a nearby bridge and stayed all evening long. Logistically, The Cool Rulers made life easy. We had a number of special requests for our wedding and The Cool Rulers approved them without hesitation and executed them flawlessly. This included learning 3 new songs, one of which was to be sung by 2 of our friends. Charles & Co coordinated with our friends to send them a demo and arrange time for a quick rehearsal, all of which culminated in a “performance” that seemed as if it had been rehearsed for months. The even accommodated a specific request for how they were set up, leaving us an aisle to walk down and filling it in during a short break later in the evening. The Cool Rulers are immeasurably talented, and the perfect complement to that talent is their ability to set the tone, ride the energy, and deliver an absolutely perfect evening of music and dancing. I recently had the pleasure of booking Cello Joe to perform at my wedding and what a special experience it was!!! Joey is a true professional on all levels! From start to finish, communication was effortless and always on point. He even assisted us with setting up and dialing in the sound system. Now on to the important stuff... Cello Joe's performance bridged the spectrum of family and friends present for our wedding. It was such a magical experience seeing so many loved ones getting down to veggie maniac, bike girl and so much love :). Cello Joe delivered a performance that brought joy and smiles to everyone's experience. Overall I rate our experience 11/11. It was an honor to have such a talented musician perform and such a fun character to hang out with the rest of the event. Cello Joe's set was the musical highlight of our wedding. We had jonny as our dj. We were looking for a bilingual dj in our area. We had difficulty finding someone here locally so we began looking out of state. Jonny’s profile on instagram came up and thought he was a great fit. We talked to chris and he went out of his way to make the travel, the hotel accommodations, and even the dj rentals outside of their own equipment to make our day work! Jonny took part in all of our meetings. They both where great to work with as we went through our song choices, the timelines, and gave us a lot of great advice in how we planned our day. The day of jonny took great care of us. He was there early to set up, got with the event coordinators, and adjusted to any on the spot changes needed. The music was great, as a bilingual couple, the music, the ability to MC and communicate everything in both english and Spanish went by smooth! Jonny truly has a gift in reading the room, playing music, and being a great MC. Both chris and jonny work great to make any accommodations, to make our day as stress free as possible.

These guys were amazing. My husband, dad and many other people who attended the wedding and are all musicians were so impressed and guests in general keep messaging me saying how great they were! Cannot recommend them enough. I was so excited too because they ended up playing a Sammy Rae song off the playlist I sent them (one of my favorite artists). We had a few of them play our ceremony too and as soon as heard them play something by the Beatles I immediately started tearing up.
