The cocktail hour had at least 8x the amount of food (passed and stations) as any wedding we had been to. There is a Mediterranean station, sushi bar, raw bar, dim sum station, martini bar, and more. Then you get to choose 8 passed appz (including lobster rolls, crab cakes, lamb chops, and more). We really cannot say more positive things about Tribeca rooftop!

Houston Hall

Houston Hall is a rustic wedding venue in New York, New York. Built in 1907, this former FBI parking garage has since been reconstructed as a vintage beer hall and brewery. This venue space features a unique, large and open-spaced floor plan. Houston Hall has the ability to accommodate up to 225 guests comfortably when seated. In addition, we have a spacious, private dressing room that overlooks the hall. This is where you can get ready before your walk down the aisle. • Pets can join the celebration
  • Space for a large guest list
  • Provides event staff

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No built-in audiovisual options
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We held our wedding at Houston Hall in October 2023. From first booking, the Houston hall event team Christon & Michelle were involved every step of the way, and had an organized process of keeping us informed. The ones that stick out were menu flexibility and options and the use of an online platform that kept all of our documentation, communication, and billing in one place. When it came to our big day, we and our guests were so pleased with Houston Hall. The food was excellent. Our guests really enjoyed the family style servings, and raved about how delicious the food was. Food came out timely, and Houston was very organized in ensuring all our guest with dietary restrictions were accommodated. Above all, the service was amazing. Both us and our guests were taken care of by friendly and efficient waitstaff and bartenders. This is something our guests still talk about. Also important to note was that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in the same location. The staff turned the location seamlessly during our cocktail hour without our guests being interrupted or even noticing. The venue itself was everything we hoped it would be. To enhance our guests experience, we opted to rent chairs (in place of benches) and edison lights. This process was seamless, as Houston had a recommended vendor who they work with frequently to deliver and install. Houston was also very accommodating to help us deliver and store items before the wedding (for example, our table decor, rented florals and cake). By choosing Houston Hall, we had an amazing, memorable, and low stress wedding day. We would highly recommend without hesitation for your wedding, or any other big event.

Loft39 is a dream venue. My husband and I got married in October 2022 and we knew this was the only venue we wanted to have our reception. The details are stunning and it was the perfect size for our 80-90 person wedding. They handled all of our requests with very quick responses and a willingness to meet our ideas. We worked with Kendall who was the absolute best, went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had and even found ways we could be efficient and save some money. EXCELLENT and very professional

The Skylark in Midtown Manhattan features a chic, sophisticated venue with stunning skyline views. The modern design and rooftop terrace create an impressive setting for weddings. Guests appreciate the exceptional service and the expertly crafted cocktails, adding a unique touch to the celebration. The professional staff ensures a seamless event, handling all details with precision. The Skylark offers an elegant and modern venue, perfect for a stylish and memorable wedding experience.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Has a sophisticated vibe
  • Provides setup and cleanup

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Dance floor not included
  • No on-premises lodging options
Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!
