Avery Wong Photography

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,700
  • Serves Moffett Field, CA

I can tell you how I started shooting photos since I was a young wee lad, but that's what everyone else says and also it's not true. I didn't even pick up a camera until I was in high school. I'm the type of person who ignores convention and does it differently, my own way. Seldom the "right" way, but always the "Wong" way. My passion for creativity and my adeptness of the tech and the technical is what allows me to weave my craft and to produce art for my couples.

When my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we made a tier list. After lots of weeding out of mediocre photographers, we narrowed our selections down to two. We resolved to contact the last two to see which one we wanted to go with. From the minute I first met Avery on zoom, I knew that I wanted to work with him. Not only are his photos phenomenal and extremely cinematic, they are somehow able to tell a story in the photo. I felt moved looking at some of his albums and I wondered how he was able to do that. When we actually got to working with him on our wedding day, I understood his process: He actually knows how to pose a model and gives clear instructions on where to put your hand, when to tilt head down, where to look, etc. This is what I was specifically looking for, as I've had some photographers who were just 'okay' that snapped away but gave no direction as to what to do. I think this is the mark of an excellent photographer and one who has clearly done many weddings. My butt looks great in all the photos. :) Also, I feel like I would qualify as a quirky bride, and he totally embraced that and took photos of my multiple plushies. That's a 100 in my book.

I cannot say enough good things about our photographer/videographer from sound originals. Our photographer was on it. She paid attention to details, she hyped us all up and never made us feel awkward, communication was excellent, she even helped me put my veil on. Above all else the photographs she captured exceeded every expectation I had. I am the kind of person to take a million pictures of myself and hate them all, but I looked beautiful in every picture. My confidence after seeing those pictures has skyrocketed. She was a true gem of a human, the sidekick every bride needs. She knew when I had enough of posing for photos and wanted to get back to the party, and she never made us feel bad about it at all. I wish for every bride to have an amazing team behind them and just know if you choose to go with sound originals, you will.

Sarah Fischback Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Moffett Field, CA

With a sparkling new ring on your finger & your dream venue secured - it's time to choose who you will entrust to capture the moments you will cherish forever. My name is Sarah and I am the head photographer at SFP. I have a love of working in natural light & creating bright, timeless & true tone images.

Awarded Best of Zola
TLDR: Sarah Fischback photography was perfect for our wedding! She worked with us every step of the way, had contingency plans and made our wedding day perfect. Why/what we chose: We booked her about a year out from our wedding in May 2024. We wanted someone who was local, with a great portfolio, and wasn’t a chain with multiple sites and a huge staff. She was flexible with the contract as we decided what we did and didn’t want. We decided on 1 photographer for 8 hours, 1 photographer for 6 hours & 1 videographer for 6 hours with an 8-10 min video of the day, plus a hard drive of pictures & footage. Leading up: We made payments in 3 installments over that year. We filled out a form which laid out specific shots we wanted, timeline for the day, and choose music for the video. 1 month before the wedding we had a phone call with Sarah directly to discuss all the plans. She answered every question we had and took great notes on a spreadsheet that she shared with us. She also told us that she was pregnant and would be due sometime soon after our wedding so she was planning to have the second photographer stay longer to help out in case she couldn’t do certain things, at no charge to us. The only “problem”: A week before the wedding Sarah texted us that she had gone into labor. This could easily have been one of those stressful last minute wedding issues, but she had an organized, thorough, and thoughtful contingency plan. She had her secondary photographer become the primary, and had another individual as her secondary. She filled them in on the plans of the day and everything was still a go! And Sarah still edited our photos. It was a bummer we wouldn’t have Sarah there, but given how everything had gone so far we trusted her and hoped for the best! Wedding day: The bridal party was met by Sara Fischer (our new primary) at a nearby hotel right on time for all the getting ready shots! Sean (secondary) arrived with Jose (videographer). They started with shots of the venue and groomsmen getting ready. The ceremony started and they just sort of blended in with the crowd, it was great! We didn’t have a wedding planner for making sure we were on time, but the photographers helped with this (not their job but super helpful). The reception went really well too! They worked hard and I hope I gave them a break to have some food as the day really got away from me! One of the other great things was I had a film camera and wanted some film photos and Sean took a bunch with it for me and I really appreciated that (I bought the film, developed, & scanned them & Sarah did edit some of them). Sara, Sean, and Jose were absolutely delightful people to have at the wedding and seemed truly happy to be there. Photo reveal: 2 weeks after the ceremony we got 8 sneak peaks and gave some feedback on coloring and lighting preferences! 8 weeks after the ceremony we got our photos! I honestly love every single photo they took! Absolutely no duds! Our video was 9 minutes long and beautiful! It is amazing to see all these shots of us and our guests, especially from times I didn’t even notice the cameras. Final thoughts: I cannot recommend Sarah Fischback enough. She did so much for us and made our day very special. I know the photographer is one of the most expensive parts of the wedding, but Sarah far exceeded my expectations and it was well worth it!

Trung Hoang Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,495
  • Serves Moffett Field, CA

My name is Trung, the head honcho at this eponymously named company. My name is pronounced “Troon”, which sounds like spoon, so ignore those other letters that make life complicated. I've been a photographer for close to 10 years, photographing things big and small, far and wide. It's pretty incredible how impactful and valuable a split second image of a given time, place, person, or object can mean to a person. Whether it's a photograph of someone you love or a place you'd love to be, photographs spark memories or inspire the pursuit of new ones and that's why I love it.

Trung was a preferred vendor at Hakone Gardens, but he also became our preferred vendor to work with for our wedding. From the initial consult to day of the celebrations, Trung had such a great sense of humor and light heartedness that really relieved the stress we had during this time. He was knowledgeable and realistic about timing and really helped to keep us on track with his efficiency. We are so glad we got to work with him and have such beautiful memories captured by him. To all who are interested, you will not regret your decision to work with him and we cannot recommend him enough.

Serving as a brand ambassador for a renowned camera brand. Engaged in impactful documentary art projects. Capturing the essence of weddings across the United States.

Andris did a truly incredible job shooting our intimate wedding at the Seattle courthouse in November. We cannot speak highly enough of the level of professionalism and coordination he provided our small group - from ensuring we arrived at the right time to capture the best possible light to making our typically photo-avoidant families comfortable and at ease. Our expectations of the photos we would get in a government building for a wedding ceremony were blown out of the water when we received our final gallery from Andris. He was a key part of our wedding day and we cannot thank him enough.

I'm not a regular photographer, I'm a cool photographer. Telling stories all up and down the coast of California. This girl (me), is a bomb mom of two trying to teach them to do what they love. As for me, that's telling your story. I've always loved the thought of traveling, observing and telling others stories. That's where you come to play. What's your story? Are you marrying your high school sweetheart? Are you traveling to your favorite place in the world to express your love? Is it just going to be you two? Do you both have a big family? Let me know. I'm here for it!

Nice to meet you, I am Sharyce. You are here which means you already know I like to take pictures. But WHY I take pictures is a different story. For nearly a decade I called myself a photographer because I picked up my camera occasionally and made some extra cash here and there. A version of myself now likes to look back and cringe at the photographer from a decade ago. However she (me) set the foundation for my career path today. When I became a mother I found that pictures had much more meaning behind them. Yes, I am going to go into the stereotypical photographers speil about “visual storytelling”.

Working with Ripple Rain Photography was an absolute dream from start to finish! From the moment we first connected, she was easygoing, approachable, and incredibly professional, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. As a gay couple, finding someone who truly understands and celebrates love in all its forms was so important to us, and Ripple Rain Photography exceeded all our expectations. She brought a warm, inclusive energy that made us feel seen, respected, and celebrated. Ripple Rain Photography was more than just a photographer; she was a genuine part of our special day. She engaged with us and our guests effortlessly, making everyone feel comfortable and capturing authentic, beautiful moments. Her ability to direct us naturally while also letting our personalities shine was a testament to her talent and experience. And the pictures—oh my goodness—the pictures are beyond stunning! Every shot radiates with love, joy, and the magic of the day. From candid moments to perfectly composed portraits, she has an eye for detail and creativity that brought our wedding memories to life. The quality of her work is unparalleled, and her work ethic is impeccable. She went above and beyond to ensure every moment was captured perfectly, even staying late to snap a few last-minute shots we requested. If you’re looking for a photographer who is professional, artistic, and truly passionate about her craft, look no further than Ripple Rain Photography. She is an absolute gem, especially for LGBTQ couples who want someone who “gets it” and makes the experience unforgettable. We cannot recommend her highly enough and will cherish her work forever. Thank you, Ripple Rain Photography, for capturing the best day of our lives so beautifully! Ivan & Tommy Sunderland

Located in SF. As a Photographer; I'm a storyteller. My imagery captures a harmony of raw emotion, authentic evanescent moments, and curated artistry. I believe in camaraderie with my couples to create beautiful memories, love stories shared over wine & a fire-pit and giving back with each wedding I book. I champion for kindness and giving back. My couples echo this right back. They are stylish, authentic and plan amazing details but also know how to pop the champagne and head to the dance floor.

Animus-Art photography consists of two amazing humans, Pedro & B, who are even more perfect when they come together. Working with them on our engagement and wedding was nothing short of a fun adventure. My husband and I are not exactly naturals on camera, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the images they captured. Pedro & B are fun, creative, passionate, hard-working and incredibly talented!! They go above and beyond to get the perfect shot! Their work is exceptional and speaks for itself. I couldn’t imagine the images being any more perfect. But aside from that, Pedro & B offer something truly special with their personalities and work ethic. They weren’t just our photographers- especially on the wedding day- they took on so many roles. They were like the best friend who never left our sight. While we were getting ready, Pedro spent much of the time with my husband and the boys, and B stayed with me and the girls. B was my superwoman on my wedding day. She wasn’t just one of my photographers - she was my maid of honor, my friend, my event coordinator, my personal assistant, my therapist. She just seemed to be there every second of the day, willing and ready to help out in every way. All this, while she snapped hundreds of beautiful, creative photos. Pedro is the kind of photographer who listens while you describe your ideal look to your hair dresser so that he can make sure it stays that way all night. And as he prompts you to fix your hair 3 hours into your reception, you smile with pride because you know you hired the best photographers in the world. The level of attention they pay to detail is unreal! They anticipate your needs before you even know about them. They capture real moments in a beautiful way. They know how to take photos while letting you be yourself- no constant stopping and prompting. In my opinion, those make for the best shots. They have so much fun doing what they do, it’s infectious. I am so so happy that they were our wedding photographers and hope to have them capture other important events in our future. Absolutely THE BEST!!!

I like warm bear hugs and generous pours of rosé. I'm obsessed with my couples (in a totally sane, non-creepy way...) and get emotional after weddings are over because I start missing my couples and our partnership right away. I bring a fresh and fun approach to wedding photography - no awkward posing or forced moments here. Your bonus bridesmaid, professional third wheel and photographer extraordinaire: I'm here to make you feel like your best self while getting you down that aisle to your other half. Our photography is fun, fresh and focused on what matters MOST. West coast cool meets southern hospitality.

We can’t say enough great things about Paige Vaughn Photo! From start to finish, Paige was a dream to work with. For both our engagement session and wedding, her team went above and beyond. On the business side, Paige was incredibly communicative, offering fantastic advice on everything from our shot list to aesthetic choices, ensuring our “dream shots” were prioritized. On our wedding day, we primarily worked with Alex, and she was incredible—calm, chill, and exactly the energy we needed on what can be a hectic day. Both Alex and Paige captured every special moment and tiny detail, helping us and our family pose in ways that felt natural and effortless. They even worked seamlessly with our content creator, making the whole process feel smooth and collaborative. One of the most amazing parts? They sent us stunning “sneak peeks” within just a few days of the wedding, and somehow managed to deliver our full gallery of over 1,600 beautifully edited photos within 10 days! Their speed didn’t compromise the quality either—every single photo was a masterpiece. If you’re looking for a photography team that is professional, talented, and truly cares about capturing your memories perfectly, look no further than Paige Vaughn Photo. We’re so grateful for the amazing experience and photos we’ll treasure forever!
