Q: How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me between 2-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Q: How long will it take to see our pictures?

Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. I also send a 10 image preview gallery within 2-3 business days.

Q: Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Q: What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

While I have never had to cancel a shoot, life happens! If I am unable to shoot your event, I will reach out to other pros in my network to see if one of them can take the contract. If I am unable to reach out on your behalf, I have a list of photographers that will be sent to you.

Q: How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 35 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Q: Do you also offer video services?

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. Occasionally I will take short videos during events of impromptu moments, but I cannot guarantee video coverage.

Q: Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer a round of second edits on select favorites to give you extra options on your most loved photos.

Q: Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Typically I am a solo shooter, although I will have someone join me if we will be shooting in the rain to help me keep my equipment covered and dry. If you would like a second shooter, I have a network of associate photographers I can reach out to and bring on as my second shooter for the day.

We 100% recommend Shelby for any of your event or wedding needs (and everything in between). We hired Shelby to photograph our post-elopement family celebration/party, and while I was worried about finding a photographer who would be willing to work outside the box and be flexible for our needs, she put my fears absolutely to rest. She was warm, kind, professional, and clear in all of her communication, over email and in person. During our party, she was friendly and put our guests at ease. A day or two after the event she provided a photo highlight preview, so we got to see some photos almost immediately (so appreciated) — the final photos we received were absolutely beautiful and reflected her attention to detail and her ability to see and capture so many of those sweet candid moments you only get when all of your people are in one place. We will absolutely be contacting her again, next chance we get!

Shelby was incredibly professional and produced the most amazing photos of our wedding. She did an onsite walkthrough several weeks before the wedding, so the day of I didn't have to worry about a thing. We have the most incredible mix of family, friend and staged photos. I LOVE THEM ALL!! Shelby was so professional the day of, we barely knew she was there. I loved working with Shelby and would recommend her 100 times over.

Shelby was amazing, totally worth every penny! She communicated about what type of photos we wanted before the wedding, showed up early to the ceremony, and above all, took amazing pictures! The price is extremely reasonable and she was extremely flexible with our timeline. We got our photos promptly, and they were absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend!
