From the moment we stepped into The View at Pepperrell Cove, we knew it was something special, but little did we know just how much they would exceed our expectations every step of the way. Our wedding day was amazing and our hearts were so full! And that was all thanks to the incredible team at The View at Pepperrell Cove! The venue itself is absolutely stunning – The VIEW cannot be beat, especially at sunset. We had an intimate (30 guest) winter wedding and it was a perfect blend of elegance, charm and coziness. The weather did not really cooperate, but the venue was still gorgeous. Every detail, from the décor to the ambiance, was thoughtfully curated, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for our guests. But what really made our experience unforgettable was the staff. The team at The View at Pepperrell Cove, went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless. They were incredibly attentive, professional, and above all, kind and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. From the early planning stages to the last dance, they were there to guide us, offer suggestions, and take care of every detail. The food was incredible, our guests are still raving about the raw bar. Special shout-out to Donna and Dionna who were there every step of the way, making sure the day went off without a hitch. Their kindness, dedication and passion for what they do truly shone through, and we felt completely supported and cared for throughout the entire process. We had some special circumstances that they went above and beyond accommodating for us and they treated us like family. We can honestly say that our wedding at The View at Pepperrell Cove, was more beautiful, smooth, and stress-free than we ever could have imagined. Wolfsburg Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the very beginning, Ashleigh and her team were easy, kind, and incredibly helpful in making sure every detail was taken care of. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with a chic and boho-inspired style that perfectly complemented the scenic views of the farm. Ashleigh's attention to decor and design was impeccable - she has such an amazing eye for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our guests are still raving about the gorgeous VW bus that was converted into a bar, adding such a unique and memorable touch. Overall, Wolfsburg Farm exceeded our expectations and made our wedding day truly special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

In 1990, it was restored to become a function hall that can easily accommodate 120 of your closest family and friends. We got married here in September of 2024. The space is definitely tight at the 120 capacity but we made it work great and the staff was very accommodating to make sure everything flowed well. All my guests loved the food too. This venue is priced very well for how nice it looks inside.

Her positivity, excitement, and attention to detail for our wedding showed through and she was an absolute joy to work with. I never thought wedding planning would be so easy until we met with Heather and the Nonesuch team. She made the entire planning process stress-free and fun! Heather and the event team made sure every detail was perfect for our wedding day. The venue itself is gorgeous. All the natural wood inside makes it so warm and welcoming. We immediately felt like we were home the second we toured the venue, and we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. We had the most wonderful wedding experience at Wentworth by the Sea and could not recommend this venue to other couples enough. Catherine Chapman and her staff were professional, communicative, and had our best interests in mind right at the start, from working out all of the last-minute details to staying in touch in the weeks following our wedding. They worked to ensure all of our needs were met – from food allergies to necessary photo breaks – and when we had questions or needed a last-minute change in our plans, they did everything they could to go above and beyond our expectations. The biggest takeaway we heard from our guests was how amazing the food and beverages were, and we couldn't agree more. At cocktail hour, the hors d'oeuvres were passed frequently, the appetizer stations were a hit, and the bar staff was excellent at keeping the lines moving. At the reception, there wasn't a clean plate in the entire ballroom. We also appreciated that the venue had great recommendations for vendors. From flowers to rentals and a band that kept everyone on their feet, we felt that we had the best team to support us and make our day look and feel exactly how we imagined. We could not have pictured a more perfect way to celebrate our love, and the staff at Wentworth by the Sea made us feel like one-in-a-million!

We loved having our wedding at the Seacoast Science Center. The venue is simply stunning. We were able to have both our ceremony and reception there with gorgeous views. Skylemar brought everyone together for a weekend full of love and fun. Maine in the summertime was as beautiful as can be. The large campsite had many spaces, so we used a different place for each event. Time spent in the water and games was just as memorable as the formal wedding festivities. The whole staff was sincere and helpful, and the Shepherd family went beyond to make every detail special. Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The owners are the third generation in their family to take care of the property and are very grateful to be the current stewards. The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

On September 21st, 2024 my husband and I got married at Maine Studio Works with 143 guests. We got ready in “studio A” then had our ceremony, dinner and reception in ”studio B”. I don’t even know where to start with how amazing this venue was for our wedding. Great location with a blank canvas that allows you to make the space your own! The best part about using this venue for our wedding was working with the owners, Nora and Zack. Weddings can be stressful and overwhelming but Nora and Zack made it such a fun and positive experience. They went above and beyond as venue owners. They are both easy going, attentive, professional, accommodating and most of all creative when it came to helping us execute our vision in their space. Our favorite things about the space included; having studio A to get ready in, walking out of the big sliding door towards the aisle, having the garage door which opened up to outdoor space, and the tall ceilings which helped the room feel big and not too loud. Our guests were in love with the venue. To this day our guests comment on how cool the space was to get married in and how we were so lucky to work with such a great team. Nora and Zack are two of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met and highly recommend using their space for your next event!

Luke's was the perfect spot to welcome our guests from around the country to Maine! The views are incredible (it's one of the few event spots in Portland that is actually on the water) and the lobster rolls were raved about by all of our guests! Rita and the team were amazing to work with and made sure everything went exactly as planned. They had plenty of non-seafood options for us too and the drink menu was perfect with Maine beers and super fun cocktails. We were on the gorgeous upstairs deck and bar area which made for guests to mingle and meet each other. A big highlight was when one of the boats hauled in two tunas in view of the party, people were talking about it all weekend long! The welcome party was definitely one of the best parts of our entire weekend.

We loved having our wedding at Barton Family Farm! Their beautiful gardens and grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our big day. My husband and I got married at the Barn on the Pemi on 5/31/24, which works closely with the Common Man Inn & Spa. We had our room block, rehearsal dinner, and after party at the Inn, but I'm here to rave about our experience with the Spa! After booking our venue, I spoke to the Inn about any accommodations or recommendations they might have for somewhere for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. They actually have what they affectionately call the "Getting Ready Room," which can be reserved ahead of time. I saw some pictures, saw that the room had some nice natural light, floor to ceiling mirrors and salon chairs, so I figured it was our best bet. Come wedding week and I went down to the spa with my bridesmaid to see the room and the pictures definitely did not do it justice! The room is large with a sitting area with a couch, table and chairs in the middle and salon-style chairs and mirrors around the perimeter. Our hair and makeup stylists were THRILLED with the setup, since they are used to cramped, poorly-lit hotel rooms for wedding prep! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but want to add one more thing. The night before the wedding, one of my nails (done at a salon back home) broke and popped off - nightmare! I kept the broken piece and brought it to the Spa the morning of the wedding to see if they could help. The Spa staff went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked perfect. One of their nail techs sat in front of my while I was having my makeup done, glued the nail piece back on, and put a top layer of the. white french tip and clear coat shellac over all of my nails to make sure they all looked the same. I would highly recommend the Spa Getting Ready Room for the morning of your wedding - the space and the staff are fantastic!

With most of our vendors experienced at the Barn, coordination was seamless, ensuring a smooth and stress-free day. The Barn is a dog-friendly venue, which was perfect because we wanted dour dog to be part of our wedding. They require someone to be designated or hired as the dog's chaperone of course, but it was wonderful to have her there with us. From working with our day-of coordinator to keep us on schedule to ensuring we were fed and hydrated, she was a godsend. I had a wonderful wedding thanks to Patrick and his family. It unfortunately rained but we were able to move things around to accommodate, Patrick and his family were very helpful with setting things up. I recommend hiring a good tent company the one I used I wasn’t happy with. The bridal suite and barn was a great touch that helped a lot with the rain and getting ready. My wife and I were married at Walnut Hill in July of last year and we had the best day of our lives there! Mike and Essie were an absolute pleasure to work with - they were so friendly and accommodating throughout the process. The entire property is so beautiful, from the Barn itself (and its attached, charming country house which can sleep up to 12 if memory correctly serves), the newly redone patio beside the barn, the sprawling lawn and last but certainly not least, the ceremony area (the main reason fell in love with this location!). The ceremony area lets the perfect amount of light in, which in our case was especially great since it kept our guests (and ourselves) cooler on what was a 90 degree day! It is also equipped with speakers surrounding it which is really helpful for whatever sort of musical arrangements you have for the most important part of the day. Cocktail hour was out on the patio. The massive tree nearby provided shade to those who needed to step out of the sun for a few. We had our reception in the barn. It is HVAC-equipped which was key on such a hot day. We had a little under 70 guests so we had plenty of room for a full band and dance floor in the middle, but I think you could fit double that size without much trouble at all. The barn also has a bar built in which was such a great touch. I would recommend The Barn On Walnut Hill to anyone looking for an intimate, all-inclusive venue. It really is one of the best spots in the Portland, ME area, if not all of Maine in my book. Thanks again Mike and Essie! -Pat

Where do I start?! I think the pictures speak for themselves as to how gorgeous this venue is. When we were looking at venues in the fall of 2022, the minute we stepped foot into the Lakehouse at Owl’s Nest we knew it was our venue. Much has changed at Owl’s Nest over the last 20 months since we booked. Like other couples, this was exciting and also anxiety-provoking at times. The construction never seems to end with all of the additions to the property, but all of the changes just make ON an even more incredible destination. We loved the feeling of being at a resort for our wedding weekend and truly being at a destination, regardless of how far or close it was to home. We (and our guests) took full advantage of the restaurant, hot tub and pool, driving range, and the whole property itself. The golf course itself wasn’t open for our wedding since they don’t open it until May, but the driving range and simulators were more than enough for the golfers who came. The grounds are gorgeous (despite any ongoing construction). We have seen so many stunning photos of other couples and couldn’t wait for our turn! We were especially eager for gorgeous sunset photos. The weather and clouds didn’t necessarily work out for us, but that’s the risk anywhere. However, because we were at Owl’s Nest, we were able to still get out for additional photos as the sun was setting and they still turned out absolutely stunning thanks to the grounds and the views of the mountains! The lodging on site is great! A huge bonus for us was the ability to bring our dog to stay with us since they have pet friendly lodging options. My husband and I stayed in a deluxe nano unit, which had a full kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, bathroom, and lots of closets! Our dog especially appreciated the closed off deck so she could freely roam inside and outside of our house. Our friends and family stayed onsite in Gambrel, Contemporary, and Lakeside units, as well as the new hotel, and even some Air bnb rentals (right on the property)! Now last but not least for my ON review…HAYLEA was our coordinator and we LOVE her. Owl’s Nest assigns your coordinator about 6 months before your wedding date (and before that you work with the manager). From our first meeting with Haylea, every minor detail that we were stressed or nervous about was eagerly addressed by Haylea. She set up our venue from top to bottom exactly as I envisioned it, and assisted us through an insane amount of seating chart adjustments. She supported us through the planning process but was also SO helpful throughout our day, making sure we had everything we needed, making sure we ate and drank, keeping us on the timeline (and making adjustments as needed). We truly felt so at ease in her hands.
