About this venue

The Seacoast Science Center is situated on the ocean’s edge in historic Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, NH boasts a different view each hour, from the tides to fog clearing into clear sky. Exchange vows in front of our rocky shoreline ceremony site with the sound of crashing waves, followed by dinner and dancing beneath an al fresco tent all while enjoying ocean panoramas with sparkling seas dotted with sailboats, four different lighthouses, and the Isles of Shoals. Welcome your guests to explore our exhibits in the Center and share the Seacoast Science Center mission. Your rental supports its efforts to promote conservation and health of our oceans. Seacoast Science: Tent

As your venue, the Seacoast Science Center will create amazing memories and your rental supports our mission to inspire conservation of our Oceans.

The Seacoast Science Center is surrounded by lawn, woods and 600 feet of oceanfront, breathtaking views of four lighthouses, the Piscataqua River, and the Isles of Shoals. The rocky coast is the perfect backdrop for photographs and will take your breath away. The beautiful 40’x90’ oceanside tent can accommodate up to 185 guests and is available from May through October. With a dance floor, the tent will accommodate approximately 150 guests. Larger parties may bring in an additional tent.

Included in this room:

6 hours rental time, not to exceed 11:00pm, per Rye Noise Ordinance. A 40’x90’ white Bayview Frame tent, electricity for caterer, band, DJ, etc., full clear siding for the tent that can be opened or closed during the event. Guests have access to Seacoast Science Center’s (SSC) restrooms and all exhibits during your entire event. A Seacoast Science Center staff member to assist with questions and site-specific logistics, 4 hours prior to your event

    We loved having our wedding at the Seacoast Science Center. The venue is simply stunning. We were able to have both our ceremony and reception there with gorgeous views. Holly was so responsive over email during the process. Guests loved being able to go inside and see the marine animals too - it made for such unique and memorable experiences. We got so many incredible photos with the water in the background. Having our wedding at this one-of-a-kind venue really made our day feel special. If you're looking for a venue that your guests will be talking about forever, look no further than the Seacoast Science Center.

    We loving having our sunning and colorful wedding at your amazing venue! Our guests talked about the views and the food and everyone had a wonderful time! The day was full of rain but it stopped just in time for the bride to walk the aisle and as we said our “I do’s” a rainbow came out and then some brief rain and then it opened up into a beautiful sunshine filled evening. We loving working with everyone here and had a stunning event. Thank you so much for your help and venue! It’s also a total steal for the price!
