About this venue

250 acre property *Private lake access *Over 50 living spaces *Entire camp and amenities available (courts, fields, equipment, etc.) Located on crystal clear Trickey Pond, just 30 miles from Portland. Skylemar is the ideal site for weddings, corporate outings, school functions, and private parties. There are multiple outdoor gathering spots including by the water's edge on a dock(s) that holds 150, within our beautiful Formal Garden, around the campfire ring or on any one of a dozen manicured fields and courts. Well-maintained buildings of assorted sizes hold up to 350 people, with tables, benches and audio-visual equipment available.

We are so happy we had our wedding at Camp Skylemar! It was an incredible, magical weekend! From the beginning and through the entire planning process, they helped us make it everything we envisioned and were flexible, clear, and well-organised. The Skylemar team went above and beyond the entire weekend — providing some of our catering (all of which was delicious), welcoming guests and making sure they had all that they needed, adapting to weather changes, and being supportive and helpful. Our guests loved staying onsite and having a summer camp weekend by the lake. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Our wedding day at Camp Skylemar was truly magical, and we are so grateful for their exceptional service and hospitality. We can’t recommend them enough.

Camp Skylemar provided a perfect venue for our vision of a camp-themed wedding. The staff were all professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Arleen and Kristen not only listened to our ideas but offered their experience to make our weekend go off without a hitch. All of the spaces at camp are meticulously maintained, warm and inviting. I cannot think of a better place for our wedding to have happened. Camp Skylemar is awesome and we'd highly recommend working with them and choosing this venue!

Skylemar brought everyone together for a weekend full of love and fun. Maine in the summertime was as beautiful as can be. The large campsite had many spaces, so we used a different place for each event. Time spent in the water and games was just as memorable as the formal wedding festivities. The whole staff was sincere and helpful, and the Shepherd family went beyond to make every detail special. We have been told it felt as much like an unforgettable family vacation as it did a celebration of love. Skylemar will always have a place in our hearts. We recommend it BIG TIME!

Camp Skylemar was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the Skylemar team was transparent, easy-going and incredibly helpful. They worked closely with us to bring our vision to life, setting up a beautiful, spacious waterfront area for our ceremony and a gorgeous reception area. On the day of, the Skylemar crew had all the seating down by the water ready for our guests, and they even shuttled people back and forth from the ceremony location. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and accommodating, and they provided great ideas to help us plan for a rain option. This venue is truly picturesque - I couldn't have dreamed up a better location for our wedding. All of our guests loved it and we highly recommend Camp Skylemar.
