About this venue

Located in the town of Sebago, just minutes from the lake is a charming and rustic New England barn and farm nestled amongst the mountainous pine forests of Western Maine. Built c. 1817, the 70 wooded acres surrounding the farm have replaced the grazing fields of the past, but the barn and stone walls built by the Haley Family endure. Garden Gate at Haley Farm is waiting to be your dream Maine wedding venue to come together with family and friends and celebrate your quintessential barn wedding.

The Barn

A charming and rustic New England barn and farm nestled amongst the mountainous pine forests of Western Maine.

The c. 1817 Maine wedding barn has been fully restored with new floors, roof, and lighting. Inside the 42 x 60' barn you will find an open floor plan with a built-in bar. Six bathrooms are located in the barn. Off the back of the barn is a 42 x 12' deck overlooking the forrest. Next to the barn is a 40 x 60' lawn ideal for a tented reception or a lounge area during your cocktail hour next to the fire pit, as well as a spot to set up lawn games.

this place is pure magic. I feel truly lucky to have been able to spend the most wonderful day of my life on this beautiful property, and I’ll never forget watching the hummingbirds whizz around the flower garden during our wedding portraits. thank you Sarah for being the most incredible host we could have ever possibly asked for and for making this place so unbelievably special — it is one of a kind.

Yes, you may bring your own alcohol, but you must have an insured bar tender.

Yes, our barn has a ramp on the side entrance.

Yes, we have parking for 75 cars.

Yes! We have six restrooms, including two barrier-free restrooms.

Yes! Our farmhouse sleeps 10 - 14 people, and you may rent it for both Friday and Saturday or just Saturday. You may check-in at 12:00pm on Friday or 8:00am Saturday, depending on your rental period.

Yes, you must obtain primary liability insurance for $1 million for each occurrence and $5 million for general aggregate. Cover for the provision of alcohol must also be included (please see next question).

Yes! We love dogs (we have two rescue mixes ourself!) and welcome them here.

Beginning in 2023, we will require all couples to work with a Day-of-Coordinator, at minimum, to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible. A wedding coordinator will help bring the vision you have been planning for months (even years!) to fruition while being a trusted line of communication between you, your vendors, and us in the weeks leading up to your wedding and during your event!
