I can't stress enough the importance of hiring someone like her. Our entire day was magic because of her and her CityLux team. We started out our journey with a clear goal, but it all felt a bit daunting. Allie was with us from start to finish (top to bottom planning and day-of!) and made every step along the way incredible. She was prompt, professional, honest, and kind. It's hard to find vendors that are as "on their game." There were times that we were completely at a loss for what was next and she always communicated with clarity so we felt comfortable and prepared to make decisions. There were sooooo many details only she could have thought of. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are 3 more things Allie was thinking of. I constantly said, "oh wow.. I didnt even think of that." Like coordinating bus routes and timing that out... no thank you! We felt like it was all under control because of her meticulous documentation, flawless communication with our other vendors, and emergency plans she put in motion behind the scenes. MOST importantly, she makes sure you can focus on your day and nothing else. From the napkins, to the placecards, to our grass wall, to our place settings, to the drink signs, and everything else in between, it was all so complete and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Not to mention, she professionally vetoed some of our ideas, and finding someone who knows what's realistic and what's not is hard to find. “My husband and I planned a very big wedding in a very short time frame. It was not an easy feat at all, and Mailyse did a phenomenal job. She was a God sent! We took a chance on her as ours was the first wedding she had planned in Charleston (even though she had extensive wedding planning experience in the Northeast). She planned the most incredible, detail oriented wedding. I had so many compliments on how well the wedding was planned and that people were impressed by how well we paid attention to every little detail. Mailyse’s attention to detail and organization was admirable. I trusted her suggestions with every decision from design to budget to everything in between. When I spilled steak sauce all over my dress, Mailyse was there in a second with fabric wipes. When I started to feel indigestion after dinner, Mailyse had tums ready for me. When one of my bridesmaids dresses didn’t fit the morning of the wedding, Mailyse was there to offer a creative solution. She paid attention to everything that was important to my husband and I, like making sure we maximized our time on the dance floor. She structured our wedding day schedule to accommodate our wishes and found flexible ways to do that when the dinner came out slower than we had anticipated.
