Founded in late 2011 in New York City, 45 Riots has grown to perform 150 events per year in addition to maintaining a busy NYC nightclub schedule (*pre-COVID) and backing up renowned music artists in concert. Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

I started Petal Design Studio in 2006, making the decision to turn a lifelong love of flowers and nature into a career.
