About Jenny Flora Photography

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

With a background in documenting real life in motion, I instantly fell in love with wedding photography; the intensely joyous emotions of friends and family, and the unfettered love between two people. I am honored to be included in these celebrations of love. You’ll see me with a huge smile on my face while I’m capturing your greatest memories unfolding.

Jenny is Waterloo Village's preferred photographer and it's incredibly easy to see why! We researched so many photographers and were having a hard time finding a) ones that fit our style and b) were available for a not astronomical price. When we looked up Jenny's info, we were immediately excited by how clean, bright, and airy her photos are. She definitely did not disappoint for our wedding either! Jenny was always communicative, helped us build our ideal shot list, and had a lot of good suggestions for how to make the most out of our time. Her experience with the venue was a huge boon here as we easily got all our traditional posed photos done with time to spare pre-ceremony, and she knew the perfect route to take us around the venue (which is huge and has so many photo opps). She and the day assistant Nicolette she brought on are also just super nice and easy to be around which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. They never once made us feel awkward or forced. She turned around our highlights within a week which was an incredible surprise to get on our honeymoon and I love every single picture already. We definitely recommend Jenny!

Jenny is an absolute gem! We are so happy we found her to photograph our modern beach wedding at The Wave in Long Branch, NJ. Jenny has an amazing eye and took advantage of all the beautiful aspects of the venue allowing for a great variety of photos. And a good mix of candid and posed shots. It was so apparent that takes such pride in her work and loves the art, making us feel so comfortable and calm the entire time. Both my husband and I are camera shy but Jenny gave us clear direction and took into consideration everything we were and weren’t looking for. Jenny and Camilla were also extremely flexible and supportive the entire day. We can’t thank them enough for their enthusiasm and dedication. It’s so apparent in their work. Jenny took the most beautiful photos of our wedding. From the day we hired her, she was extremely organized, communicative and guided us through the entire process. Jenny took time to listen to us about the specific style and shots we wanted and was flexible in accommodating everything we needed on our wedding day. She also spent the time to get to know us and our style, all of which shows through the photos! Jenny truly captured the essence of our big day and we can highly recommend using her for your wedding!
