Homesteads Events at Loray Mill is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Gastonia, NC. The open-plan event space provides an old-world, industrial ambiance for your wedding event. Homesteads Events can accommodate a range of celebrations, from an intimate engagement party to a grand wedding soiree. The main event hall offers space for up to 300 guests and features 38-foot-high ceilings and exposed brickwork throughout the entire area. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, adding a sense of bright airiness to the room. Poured concrete floors, original wooden pillars, and exposed beams lend charm and character to the banquet hall, which can be personalized with your own decor. Back then, we both found ourselves in pretty much every role required to keep the venue running and making sure the weddings went off without a hitch. We definitely learned a lot along the way, while continually improving the venue and learning how to create the best experience possible for our clients and guests.

Separk Mansion is a wedding venue located in Gastonia, North Carolina that is just 20 minutes from Charlotte. This renovated mansion is designed with beautiful weddings in mind and will give you an elegant backdrop that will create a celebration that is full of everlasting memories. Separk Mansion is ideal for both indoor and outdoor weddings. The first floor ballroom retains old vintage hardwood floors and has a ceiling that shimmers with crystal chandeliers. At the front there is a large staircase as well as large front doors that lead to an expansive limestone veranda that can be used for a cocktail hour. This impressive estate was built in 1919 by textile mogul Joseph Separk. He lived in the mansion with his wife and son during the 1920s. In 2012 it underwent complete renovation and is currently one of the most popular locations for ceremonies and receptions. The mansion is part of the York Chester Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our historic farm which was established in 1890 has since been transformed into a tranquil venue to create lasting memories. Our open-air pavilion with exposed beams and exquisite handmade chandeliers makes for great reception area. The wooden arch overlooking the Carolina mountains is just a short walk across the lawn creating the perfect ceremony location.

The historic Monte Vista Hotel is a key component to Black Mountain’s storied past. Originally home to the Cherokee people, this valley became an early pathway west for traders, explorers and people seeking a new life beyond the eastern mountains. The town of Black Mountain grew rapidly after the railroad was completed in the late 19th century, and this new “railroad town” needed more lodging. Lucien and Rosalie Phillips opened the Monte Vista in 1919, repurposing a former school building. In 1937, the current brick building was constructed, further cementing the Monte Vista Hotel as a central piece of Black Mountain’s civic and social life. The Annex, a separate structure located behind the original, was added in 1975. Though the hotel has since undergone complete renovations and new ownership, many of the original elements have been preserved, and the new decorative touches complement the look and feel of the original structure.
