Makray Memorial Golf Club is a banquet hall hosting weddings for couples in the greater Rockford and Chicago, Illinois areas. This classic venue features a stone clubhouse draped in lush ivy and sitting upon a property of fresh green grasses. Sitting approximately an hour outside of Rockford in Barrington, Illinois, this venue offers an escape from the busy city atmosphere. A stunning outdoor ceremony takes place on the lawn of the venue, with white chairs placed on a flat piece of landscape among the course's gently rolling hills. Perched high above the big intersection of Damen, Milwaukee and North Avenues in an Art Deco masterpiece formerly known as the Northwest Tower—stretching 203-feet tall and the only skyscraper for miles—The Robey captures the storied spirit of Chicago: a bustling, ever-changing, big-shouldered town. Originally designed as an office building in 1929 by the firm of Perkins, Chatten, & Hammond, each of the hotel's rooms, lobby and roof spaces were transformed by Belgian design duo Nicolas Schuybroek Architects and Marc Merckx Interiors.
