I’m Artur full-time wedding photographer behind the Kandid Arts. As a wedding photographer with roots in Europe and a heart in the United States, I bring a unique blend of cultural influences and experiences to my craft. Born and raised in Eastern Europe, I developed a passion for photography that has only grown stronger during my last few years in the United States. I moved to Buffalo, NY about 6 years ago. Why Buffalo? Because my wife grew up here. I was born and raised in Münster, Germany and lived most recently in Vienna, Austria. I worked as a journalist for financial newspapers, websites and magazines. I wrote mainly about tech companies such as Apple, Facebook, Google among other things. As part of my job I was exposed to photography and filmmaking and discovered a passion. It didn’t take long for family and friends to ask me to photograph their weddings. I realized how much fun it was to be part of such an emotional day which you remember for a lifetime.

I am a human being who has chosen a path of art as a career. It may surprise you to learn that I have a masters degree in mental health counseling. My whole life I have been preparing to become a therapist. Funny how I chose to switch gears after making all the necessary educational requirements! My journey into photography is a unique one, as all photographers stories are. I ultimately chose the path of photography because it brings me the most peace. To know that I can live my life through my art for you is a true gift. I am so excited to meet you!
