Hello there! My name is Billy. Thank you for stopping by! My style of work is candid photojournalistic and I aim to capture you as you are on your wedding day. I am based in Buffalo and photograph in the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Finger Lakes areas. Your wedding day will be filled with wonderful fleeting moments with your loved ones. Let's create memories together that will last a lifetime. Every wedding is different and I will tailor our services to meet your specific needs.

I shoot film for my personal enjoyment, and lately, I've been incorporating it into my weddings to create timeless memories. Film has a unique way of capturing emotion with warmth and character. Alongside photography, I offer hybrid photo and video coverage — combining candid storytelling with a highlight film that beautifully captures the emotion of the day, all without the need for a separate full videography team. This approach gives couples the best of both worlds: heartfelt images and meaningful motion, woven together in a way that feels natural and true to their story.

Description

Film is a timeless expression of the art and while often imitated, is seldom replicated in our digitally impermanent world. I shoot film for my personal enjoyment and I'd be happy to extend that fulfilling sense of nostalgia to your wedding gallery. The 35mm film add-on is customizable to fit your wedding day and based on how many rolls of film you'd like to be shot.

    We can’t say enough great things about Billy and Katie! From the very beginning, Billy brought such a personal and thoughtful touch to our wedding experience. He reached out proactively during the planning process to make sure everything was set for the big day, offering helpful input and flexibility that made us feel completely at ease. On the wedding day, both Billy and Katie were absolutely amazing. They were not only timely and professional, but also worked seamlessly with our coordinator to help keep everything running smoothly. They weren’t just behind the camera—they were genuinely helpful, lending a hand wherever it was needed and making the day feel even more special. One of the most impressive touches was that Billy had photos ready and on display at the reception for our guests to enjoy, adding such a thoughtful and unique element to the evening. He also surprised us with a roll of 35mm film photos he took during the day, which captured timeless and nostalgic moments that we will cherish forever. He delivered our full set of photos incredibly quickly, and they came out beautifully—we couldn’t be happier with the results. So many of our guests commented on how great Billy and Katie were—friendly, accommodating, and just a joy to have around. They helped keep the energy up and the timeline on track, all while capturing every special moment.     We are absolutely so ecstatic with our wedding photos by Billy. Throughout the whole process from meeting him initially to getting the photos back (in a very prompt fashion post-wedding I might add) and sharing with our guests, he was super professional and responsive through the whole thing and we are so thankful for all of his advice and help. He is super relaxed as a photographer and doesn't force you to do anything you're not comfortable with, just tries to capture you as you are! Trust his process and he will provide some really great candid photos of both you as a couple and of your guests. During the wedding he was incredible at capturing all the special little moments, we love the candid style of photography as he really caught the essence of our guests enjoying themselves and our emotions throughout the day. As a bonus he does also speak Mandarin and that's super rare to find in a photographer in the Buffalo area, we were pleasantly surprised and it came in handy! He was so pleasant to work with and super nice. He was always professional, patient, and quickly adapted to anything we thought of at the last minute. His prices are very reasonable for his high quality of work and he does a great job of adapting himself to the couple's style. He had some surprises for us that we LOVED. We absolutely highly recommend him for your wedding or any other special event.
