Hi, I'm Jacalyn — the photographer behind Jacalyn Meyvis Photography in Rochester, NY and the Finger Lakes. Photos should be timeless. No trendy wedding filters here. On a day as special as this, you should remember all of the important moments. In a way you'll love both now and in 20 years.

This moment is about you. But at the same time, it's not. It's also about the family and friends who have supported you along the way. This is why, to tell your complete story, I intentionally take as many photos of you as I do your family and friends. And, to take it one step further, I take them in the places you find truly special. Jacalyn Meyvis Photography is unique in that we love to capture clients' wedding days digitally as well as on black and white film to tell their whole story in a timeless way.

I am SO glad I chose Jacalyn to take our wedding photos! As someone much more comfortable behind the camera, I was determined to find someone I could really trust with my very specific vision. Jacalyn delivered and more! Jacalyn took photos on our wedding day and during our Vietnamese tea ceremony the night prior. We also asked her to add on Super 8 film for our wedding day - and it was worth every penny! (For shooting the Super 8, she was accompanied by her second shooter, Bekah, who was equally amazing!) Jacalyn is truly a professional through and through. She was extremely organized throughout the entire wedding planning process and kept communication open. On the wedding day, I was stressed about a lot of things - but the photos were not one of them! Throughout the day, she was able to capture so many special moments that I would never have even seen otherwise given how preoccupied my husband and I were. I am eternally grateful for her ability to capture such details through her work. She not only has a great eye and instinct, but her editing style is impeccable. It's so timeless and natural, and exactly what I wanted! My husband and I are already talking about booking subsequent photoshoots with her for anniversaries and future events.

We booked Jacalyn on the recommendation of our wedding planners and could not be happier with her work. She put my husband and me completely at ease during our engagement session as well as on our wedding day and I can’t wait to see the final pictures! Jacalyn made sure to capture every picture on our list, especially pictures of the full moon and gave us the option of having her stay for an extra hour at our reception. I can’t recommend Jacalyn enough!

Jacalyn is a star. I hired her after I saw a friend's gorgeous engagement photos, and everything she's done has been perfect. She made my husband and I feel good and look good, and kept us totally at ease. She understood exactly what I was looking for and her pics are stunning. She is quick and responsive and was so helpful during the planning process. She is a dream. Hire her!!!
