I am a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Northern Colorado and Western Washington. In my free time I hike, eat lots of food and play with cat & dog. I find photography to be an amazing creative outlet and love using it as a way to connect with some amazing people.

Awarded Best of Zola
Ashley did an EXCELLENT job with our micro wedding/elopement! The weather conditions were completely different then what we originally thought (typical Colorado weather) but with her photography they turned out better than we could imagine or even hope for. She is so great to work with and kind. And her and her husband took great care of capturing us with our crazy new puppy. Words can’t express how grateful we are. We choose the best photographer in the state! I would get married again just for more photos haha

Please reach out via the contact page on my website to connect! // I'm a digital & film photographer living in NYC capturing weddings, couples, and life around me. I approach photography intentionally, and am emotionally driven behind the camera. I’m all about those in-between candids and documenting in the moment, as well as artful editorial guided posing. I love making genuine connections with people, and the natural friendships that can come from working together! Approaching your wedding photography as an art form is just a small part of why I absolutely love what I do.

Becca was an absolute pleasure to work with! Although we were keeping our nuptials small and casual, I've heard so many horror stories of how stressful planning even a small thing can be. Working with Becca was everything but – from our initial emails, to helping us select the right service, the special day, keeping us up-to-date afterwards, just everything! We're both a little awkward around the camera but Becca and her assistant were so patient and made sure we were comfortable, it was like we had all known each other for decades. She worked some serious witchcraft behind the lens and the results were so stunning. We still gush over these photos every week! I cannot recommend Four Doves Photography Studios enough. We had the most amazing day with our closest friends, and she really captured the spirit of the day (albeit a cold one!) into digital memories. Thank you, Becca!

I've been shooting weddings for almost 10 years. I often work with adventurous couples who look beyond what most of the wedding industry is selling and wanna start their own traditions. I've worked in huge east-coast ballrooms, on Mexican beaches, and at the edges of Moab cliffs. And I'll happily travel to wherever you're doing your own damn thing on your wedding day. I focus on capturing your favorite people in the world and giving you images that pull you right back into the feeling of the day. My style is natural, candid, and joyful, with some sassy editorial portraits and a whole lotta crazy dance floor shots.

Cory was such a great videographer and did an amazing job capturing our day. He was easy to work with, very communicative, and delivered a beautiful video that makes us tear up every time we watch it. Highly recommend working with him.

With over 20+ years of experience with photography, capturing life's smallest and biggest moments has been a passion of mine. Being able to encapsulate these candid moments is such a privilege; one that we don't take lightly!

From start to finish Jenn was incredibly professional and easy to deal with. She helped me plan an engagement shoot that, because of its nature, had to be mostly spontaneous and "on-the-fly". She was easily able to adapt and capture our special moment with some INCREDIBLE photographs. We even started receiving some photos the following day! I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Jenn and Symula Media Group to anyone looking for documentation of their special moment!

Hi, I'm Kristen and I'm so excited you are here! I've been a wedding photographer for 17 years with hundreds of weddings under my belt. Diversity and inclusivity are very important to me both personally and professionally, so no matter who you are I want to document your love story.

Awarded Best of Zola
We can honestly say that we made a new friend in our photographer. We booked Kristen early in 2019 and ended up knowing her for well over a year when our wedding was moved from May to Sept. Kristen helps make the planning process easier by offering advice, helping to recommend vendors, and being a calm, cool, and collected person able to handle whatever kind of challenge your wedding throws at her. She was a key component in me staying sane during the pandemic planning process and wasn’t afraid to speak up when she thought something might not work. She came to our wedding to make sure we would have fun and to keep the day 100% about us. She is so fun and easy to be around and did not ever feel like a stranger photographing one of the most important days of our lives. Her photographs speak for themselves and all of our images are beautiful. Her style is candid, gorgeous, and natural. We never felt overly posed and the portrait process was a breeze, especially with my husband who hates his picture taken. Her talent is amazing. Having a vendor that works with your day and fits in so seamlessly goes beyond any words I could say. Book her. You won’t regret it. <3

Cesario Mendez Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Farmingville, NY for additional fees

When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Awarded Best of Zola
Cesar was easily our favorite wedding vendor. He is just as fun as his website is. We are based in NY and originally from DC so our wedding was in DC. We picked our package assuming we wouldn't have an engagement session because of our different locations (honestly thought they were kind of cheesy - why are we suddenly models just because we got engaged?). Cesar told us he has family in Brooklyn and suggested we schedule a time where he could MEET US in the city for our engagement session! He came up and met us on a Wednesday at the crack of dawn (at my request) to get sunrise shots on the Brooklyn bridge and in nearby DUMBO. We are not super comfortable getting our picture taken so this was perfect to get comfortable with Cesar - he made it easy with his personality and laid back attitude. This ended up being great for the day of because we already knew him and were comfortable. His tricks and direction for us to act out for the shots really broke the ice and made them more natural and fun. At the end of our session we were shocked at how much fun we had. The pictures were so epic, I couldn't believe it was us. Now I get all the hype about engagement pics and am so thankful we have them. We even used one of the shots for a framed picture for our guests to sign at our cocktail hour. Leading up to the wedding, I had a meeting with Cesar to get our shot list in order and he guided me through everything. He even agreed last minute to our locations on the day of (all of that was on us for doing things last minute) - NOVA and DC venue/church, all while battling Saturday DC traffic. He even took myself, the groom, and best man in his Uber from the church to the venue! My wedding coordinator was trying to run the show for the shots with no knowledge of the shot list, so I asked Cesar to take lead and he did. My husband was getting cranky about all the pictures and Cesar was fun but firm with his direction. Exactly what was needed, especially when interacting with two different families. We didn't have Cesar for the whole reception, so he made sure to get great shots of the cocktail hour and the dances and group shots on our list beforehand. Absolutely beautiful photos that we will treasure forever. The length of this review should show you how great Cesar's services were appreciated!

You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

I have been working closely with Abigail for our upcoming wedding and an upcoming boudoir shoot. She has been amazing about keeping up with me, professionalism and making sure I stay in the loop!!!

Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is not enough good things we can say about Sarah! From day 1, she had great communication before the proposal while deciding the perfect location and how we would meet up with her. She executed flawlessly and I never saw her until the ring was on my finger even though she followed us for a bit before the big moment. She made us feel so comfortable for the photoshoot after and was willing to go to a few different spots with us all while carrying all of our stuff so it wouldn’t be in our pockets for the pictures. We received the sneak peeks the next day and were blown away with how well they turned out, she nailed it!! She got the big “I do” moment which was most important and then captured so many other sweet moments right before and after that I will forever be so grateful we can relive because of her photos. The best thing about her is that you can feel the joy coming out of the screen when you look through her galleries. So many people have raved over how well our engagement photos turned out. Everyone should book Sarah, she is so great at what she does!!

Hey there! Since you are trusting me to capture these special moments in your life, I figured you should probably know a bit about me, right? I am a Huntsville, Alabama native, but moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2013. ROLL TIDE! Although I consider Nashville home, I am anything but a homebody. I love traveling and exploring new places (especially the food at those places!). I even studied abroad in Italy, which let me tell you, was a food lover's dream. I have always felt like an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body. I would rather listen to Frank Sinatra than anything on the radio today.

Awarded Best of Zola
Diana is amazing to work with! She is super detail oriented and easy to get along with. Her process really streamlines everything and I felt like I wasn’t doing a lot of unnecessary selections which is amazing as a busy bride! She really makes everything enjoyable and takes her work seriously. Diana truly became such a special person in our lives throughout the wedding planning process and even after. Throughout our wedding weekend she really felt like family. She laughed, cried and celebrated with us. Diana is so talented and passionate about her work and trust me it shows! I truly can’t wait to work with her again in the future.

Rebeca & Andrew

5.0

New York, NY
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $7,000

Andrew and I met in the most random place, hiking in the woods 100 miles from where either of us lived. We spoke on the phone for months and saw each other when we could, while we lived hours apart. 5 Years later we're married, raising a handsome pup, and running a business together. Since inception we have won Best of Westchester 2020 for weddings and numerous other industry awards. We take a modern approach to photography. We will light you and pose you in the most flattering natural ways and place you in front of the most beautiful backgrounds, while being professional, respectful and patient with everyone on your guest list!

Awarded Best of Zola
Rebeca and Andrew are not just incredible photographers, but they are also wonderful people who make their clients feel so comfortable. Do not hesitate to book Andrew and Rebeca for your wedding or your next photographed event. My husband and I were joking around about how Andrew and Rebeca felt like our friends after sharing all our special moments together, photographing our engagement photos and our first look the day of the wedding. Rebeca and Andrew create a calm, down to earth, and joyful environment during their shoots. They did a fantastic job making us feel comfortable in front of the camera- we were so happy that we did an engagement shoot with them, they taught us some tips and tricks for posing in front of the camera, and so we were thrilled with how our wedding photos turned out a few months later. Additionally, Rebeca and Andrew are professional, ask a fair price for their incredible work, and are quick to respond to all emails and messages. They made us feel calm, confident, and well taken care of throughout the entire wedding planning process. On your wedding day, you are spending so much time running around, staying on schedule, socializing, etc. It can get really busy and overwhelming. So, we learned that some of the more quiet and intimate moments happen when you are being photographed at your first look or before your guests arrive at your venue. As a result, you don’t just want skillful photographers at your wedding, you want great people who you enjoy spending time with. Overall, we could not have been more happy working with Rebeca and Andrew- in fact, we will miss them! We definitely plan to keep them in mind if we ever need a professional photographer in the future.

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
Leah photographed our wedding at my family's property in Napa Valley, June 2024. Leah took lots of time to scope out the location and seemed to be absolutely *everywhere* during the wedding, at all the right moments. I didn't have to call her over once, because she was already there. She captured the emotions of the day, the little moments, the big moments, and made our day look like the fairytale wedding that it felt like. Once we got the photo gallery back (so quickly!) we relived the day all over again. We were tearing up and laughing at all the photos. I felt like I was looking at photos from a Brides magazine, but it was me! Another thing I'll mention is that Leah gives direction in a kind, calm and encouraging way. My husband is not too confident in photos and he felt SO comfortable posing with her there, and loves his photos too! I felt like she could guide me into more flattering poses when I felt uncertain about my angles. I love Leah and her work and would recommend her to anyone!

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

Santa Monica, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,500
  • Serves Farmingville, NY for additional fees

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you’re on the fence about who to book because let’s be honest, there’s a lot of vendors on Zola, choose Karla! Her photos turned out amazing for both our save the dates and our wedding. She has a quick turn around time (24 hours) for sneak peeks. She’s sweet, kind, communicative, easy going, and just fun to work with. She was more of my wedding coordinator on my wedding day than my actual coordinator lol. Book her! You won’t be disappointed.
