East Waterboro, ME

  • Starts at $5,000

Dawson Renaud is a nationally-featured wedding and elopement photographer and filmmaker based out of Portland, Maine. Dawson grew up in Southern Maine, where his love for the coast and its natural beauty drew him to photography. Featured by numerous travel agencies, including the Maine, Alaska, and Colorado Tourism Departments, Dawson uses his unique perspective in landscape photography to create beautiful, modern images of couples. His laid-back personality allows him to connect with couples and add their own personal touch to their gallery of images.

Dawson and Josie were amazing and felt like our friends. They were both so easy to work with and had done our engagement photos and wedding. They gave us sneak peaks within a week of our wedding and I could not have asked for better photos. I would 100% recommend them for anyone planning a wedding!

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.

My time working with the Marshalls was nothing short of absolute perfection! From the moment that I called Sarah for my consultation to the delivered photos to my inbox, Capture the North was an absolute dream to work with! I highly recommend Sarah to all of my friends and family and will be hiring her for my baby photos!!

Awen Images

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves East Waterboro, ME

***We are offering a free engagement shoot for all 2024 weddings*** I am a passionate photographer and filmmaker with over a decade of professional photography experience. As a video production coordinator and cinematographer at Southern NH University and as a photographer with Marisa Lynne Photography, I have photographed and filmed hundreds of events. I shoot almost exclusively with prime lenses and like to keep things creative and free flowing, but I am happy to grab those “must have” shots for the bride. My cinematic and photographic inspirations are Akira Kurosawa, Stanly Kubrick, Sir Roger Deacons, and Dorothea Lange.

Awen Images went above and beyond to capture the special moments we will treasure for a lifetime. Choosing a photographer is such a vital part of wedding planning, and Awen Images did not disappoint. Communication, coordination, quality, and service was all top notch. Completely satisfied with our choice and would recommend to all of our friends and family.

I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

Grace and was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding! Grace was very thorough and communicated with everyone from venue staff to the DJ to choreograph and capture everything. I fell in love with Grace's whimsical and wispy style of photography - she made sure to include everyone in the shots. Grace was punctual and went straight to capturing our final moments of getting ready, and she gave us time to socialize and enjoy our guests. I loved her creativity and willingness to take unique shots. I would definitely recommend her for any couple's day!

Hi there! I’m Emma CotéEwers, your East Coast & Destination Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer! My work is a seamless blend of traditional heirloom portraiture, lively artistic shots, and a little photojournalism if the day calls for it. With a true-to-color, film-inspired approach, I strive to craft visuals that capture love, laughter, and those beautifully authentic moments that weave together the story of your wedding! I feel like these should include fun facts? Patsy Cline’s Walkin’ After Midnight is my favorite song and I am currently on my 8th nostalgic binge of Gilmore Girls (which might just be fueling my banter lately).

I cannot say enough good things about Emma - she is always flexible, knowledgeable, and shows up with the best energy to every event! When I wasn’t sure where I wanted to take bridals, she was happy to make suggestions based on the vibe I was going for - and I very much appreciated one less thing on my plate! She delivers high quality, beautiful photos every single time and is the artist behind so many of my most cherished memories! I would absolutely recommend Coté and Camera - you won’t regret it!

From our first phone call we knew our wedding wouldn't be complete without Jamal and Lashana. While we couldn't meet in person at first due to the pandemic, they answered all of our questions/requests professionally and timely over the phone or by email. After our first phone call meeting, we felt confident that we made the right decision. All of us were laughing and telling jokes that we couldn't wait to see what working with them in person would be like. We also loved the fact that the package we got had a free engagement shoot with it as well, especially since we were quite young when we got engaged and couldn't afford one at the time. It also helped us get use to being in front of the camera, something we both aren't usually comfortable with as we typically feel "unphotogenic". The entire process was so laid back and Jamal truly gave us some stunning images--while managing to hide the fact our shoot took place during a seriously overcasted day in August (Thanks, New England weather). Now, as for the day of the wedding we couldn't believe how much these two did for us besides capturing some of the best photos of us to date. Not only did they show up early for us, on a Thursday no less, but they both made sure that we kept to our schedules and had enough time to get some of the non-traditional shots that were important to us. Lashana especially helped myself (the bride) get ready and kept me calm all the way from the first moment she arrived up until my husbands and I's first look. Not only that, she kept the party going and the dance floor packed when it was time for the reception. As for Jamal, he did a fantastic job of making it feel like we weren't just taking photos all day. We actually got to experience different parts of our wedding (like cocktail hour) because he was so efficient earlier in the day and made sure we had time to unwind and enjoy the day. The two also took behind the scenes videos of different points of the day which meant a lot for us to see/keep since we didn't hire a videographer and had an unplugged ceremony. You can tell that Jamal and Lashana not only love what they do, but care about capturing memories as well as creating them with their couples. We received so much feedbacks from guests after the wedding about how much fun Lashana was to dance with or how much they loved talking to Jamal. We can't wait to get our photos printed and are looking forward to working with these two again in the future during the next milestone in our lives. We seriously can't thank these two enough and know that every wedding they get to be a part of will be filled with as many laughs and memories as ours.

Hey, I'm Chris. I'm thrilled to be a part of your wedding journey and want to make it everything you've ever dreamed of. On your special day, I'll bring a relaxed, positive vibe, and maybe even some dog treats. You can count on me for zero "Photographer attitude" and zero stress. Currently based in Boston, I'm constantly traveling to photograph weddings nationwide. I particularly love weddings with 100-150 guests, and thrive in locations like barns, ski resorts, and castles. Creating vivid, cinematic images through great lighting and true to life editing is my true passion. You won't find overexposed skies or unnatural skin tones in my work.

Chris was such a joy to work with! From our very first meeting before even hiring him, he really spent the time to talk through what our vision was and how we wanted our day to be captured. He was a great support every step of the way for planning as well as on the big day! In addition to being a great listener, Chris has great suggestions on how to plan for photos based on his extensive experience (angles, timing, group shots). Our wedding was a large one, so Chris hired a fantastic second lead photographer and several other photographers throughout the day so our event was seamlessly captured! Another important note - all of our family and other vendors (makeup artists, planners, etc) commented on how great it was to work with Chris, and were excited to work with him on future events - I think this is such an important quality for a photographer, and definitely appreciated how professional and friendly Chris was with EVERYONE! He kept the day moving as it should and captured some unbelievable shots that I revisit on probably a daily basis :) I honestly cannot recommend Chris enough - from his genuine care and support for you through the planning and important day, to the absolutely stunning product he delivers. Thank you Chris for everything!!

I am a caffeine addict who never sleeps. I love a good thunderstorm and playing Candy Crush for the brain breaks. I adore all kinds of dogs, but I have a special love for German Shepherds. My all-time favorite thing is to sit by the fire with a glass of good cabernet or watch the ocean waves hit the beach. I love to garden and to build things (but I let my husband to finish all my projects LOL). I enjoy good food and will likely refer to a stand up comedy routine at least once in a conversation. I am also a football mom, lacrosse mom and basketball mom. Wife to a very understanding husband and emotional support person for my big puppies.

If you're on the hunt for a wedding photographer who not only captures every intricate detail but also brings a sense of ease and joy to your special day, look no further than Silvia Gilbert Photography. From the moment we met her, we knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding, and boy, did she exceed our expectations! Silvia] has an unparalleled knack for capturing the essence of each moment, from the stolen glances between the newlyweds to the delicate lace on the bride's gown. Her attention to detail is simply remarkable; every shot she takes feels like a work of art, meticulously composed and brimming with emotion. But what truly sets Silvia apart is her easy-going personality. Despite the inevitable chaos of a wedding day, she remained calm, cool, and collected, effortlessly putting us at ease and allowing us to fully enjoy the festivities. Her warm demeanor and infectious enthusiasm made the entire experience feel like a breeze, and her presence felt more like that of a dear friend rather than a hired vendor. Not only did Silvia capture all the big moments beautifully, but she also had a remarkable ability to capture the small, fleeting moments that we may have otherwise missed. Looking through our wedding album, we were transported back to that magical day, reliving every laugh, tear, and heartfelt exchange. In short, Silvia Gilbert Photography is a true gem in the world of wedding photography. If you want stunning photos and a stress-free experience, entrust her with your special day—you won't be disappointed.

Born and raised in Maine, I dream of one day retiring there by the sea, like a real life Miss Rumphius. But until then, I live just outside of Boston with my husband and our three cats. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, but we waited more than a decade before saying our own vows. Sometimes (okay, often) I eat cake for breakfast, so you can always count on me to help taste test yours. If I'm not photographing people in love, I'm probably enjoying a glass (bottle) of champagne on the couch or planning my next adventure. I believe everything is better by the ocean and you should never wait to explore the world.

Homeschoolin, Home birthin, and Holistic mama that loves to capture Life and Love in it's truest moments and forms. My business has been a decade in the making from falling in love with photography in high school, to now... My love for Milkweed and my time spent living in Iowa has inspired my business name. I used to live near a conservation center with fields of milkweed. My children and I spent many days enjoying this haven of beauty and were blessed to see thousands of Monarch butterflies migrate to the Milkweed. I realize how fleeting these moments are and would love to capture your story!

Working with milkweed moments is a breeze! I was nervous because I have a 3 and 1 year old, and wasn’t sure how they would cooperate. Aubriana made everything go smoothly. She’s great with kids, great with directives on posing, and really made the day so fun! She got all the shots I dreamed of!”. Will be booking her again in the future!

By Halie

  • Fine art style

  • Serves East Waterboro, ME

I learned photography 10+ years ago in the darkroom at my high school. From there, I was hooked. Fast-forward to being fresh out of college, in a new city, and needing new friends. I found an amazing group who also loved photography. We traveled abroad and across the country together, sharing our travel photos all over Instagram (which, had just become all the hype). That was all it took for my first couple to ask me to photograph their wedding. I'm now a full-time hybrid wedding photographer!

The best decision David and I made during our wedding planning was hiring Halie for our wedding photography. She is so amazing at what she does and so organized with it! Which is something we have in common, I am super Type-A so the relationship I built with Halie was top tier and it made the whole planning process/wedding day a breeze. For David and I, our Rhode Island wedding was a destination as we are from Maryland so this made things a bit more complex with scheduling and understanding the area. When planning our engagement shoot, Halie made perfect suggestions for different locations to satisfy the different vibes I wanted in our pictures. During the shoot, she put us at ease and helped pose us in different ways to get the perfect shot. She also captured family photos for my family and I while we were all in Rhode Island for wedding planning activities. This helped us have an even closer bond with Halie and she got to see some of the family dynamics. All of the photos were absolutely beautiful!!! Between our engagement shoot and our wedding, Halie stayed in constant communication with me and gave me so many good tips/suggestions/ideas throughout the process. She made us a custom photo timeline for the whole wedding day. This was so helpful and we used her photo timeline as our baseline when engaging with all of our other vendors to ensure they were all on the same schedule. Halie captured pictures of our rehearsal dinner and intimate private sailboat ride with our inner circle. It was so fun to have her there to capture all of our New England details that we had spent so much time planning. Once again, she nailed it and got so many great pictures of us and our families! If you are considering adding rehearsal coverage, this is your sign to do it!!! Now for the wedding day, she truly outdid herself! She came fully prepared to dive into all of the shots and was reassuring me when I realized we were running slightly behind schedule. She was like my director that day and I had complete trust in her for all of it. She remained calm, poised, professional throughout all of the wedding day chaos. All of our wedding party was so impressed by Halie's well thought out photography. When we received our sneak peeks, we were just in utter shock!! They were stunning and exactly what we were hoping for. Halie’s photography style is the perfect blend of romantic and timeless. David and I are forever grateful for the memories that Halie and her team captured on our wedding day. We truly cannot recommend Halie enough! She is amazing!

Capturing love stories all over the world. With a keen eye for detail and a love for genuine emotions, I strive to capture the essence of your unique love story. Each image is crafted with care, ensuring that your wedding day is not just an event but a timeless, cherished experience. I would love to be a part of your journey, preserving the magic and elegance of your celebration through our lens. Love all.

My husband and I got married in August of 2021. COVID-19 restrictions were winding down, however, we did have family attending the wedding from another country (and the border was still closed while we were planning our wedding earlier in 2021). When we were searching for vendors, we hoped that we could find someone that would be considerate of our additional difficulties of planning an (international) wedding. We also hoped that our photographer would be someone that would “join” our wedding, rather than “direct” the wedding. From the first phone call with Emily, to our engagement photo session, and our wedding, Emily exceeded all our expectations. While discussing the wedding, she made us feel our concerns and wishes were heard, providing her own experienced feedback along the way. She was prepared and flexible on our wedding day (which ended up being a rainy, outdoor wedding). As we hoped, she effortlessly and gracefully joined our wedding as what felt like just another family member. She kindly guided everyone throughout all organized photos and captured many beautiful candid photos as well. Emily is extremely talented in capturing amazing moments with exceptional photo style/quality. My husband and I (as well as many others that were part of our wedding) kept saying over and over how wonderful Emily was. Our wedding photos are displayed throughout our house and on our phones, laptops, etc. Emily went above and beyond to capture our day exactly as it was so that we could hold onto it forever through our photos. Since our wedding in 2021, we’ve worked with Emily on two other occasions, and she has continued to amaze us with her photos. We hope that she can join us in future significant family moments, because at this point, she feels like family!

Meeting around 10 years ago and instantly becoming best friends, Jason and Nichole have now been married for 5 beautiful years. They share two children and when they aren't creating amazing wedding day memories for their clients they are out exploring. You can find them skiing, hiking, camping, and even traveling the country in their van when time permits!

Nichole and Jason have been nothing but professional throughout our booking process, engagement photos, and wedding weekend. All of the photos we've received so far we have been absolutely blown away with how good they are. They were great communicating to make sure our needs were met. We felt so comfortable with them and see them not only as our wedding photographer and videographer but someone my husband and I could be friends with. They were really great making sure our Indian fusion wedding was beautifully captured. I can't wait to see all of the photos but the sneak peaks were so good. They also asked questions about the ceremonies that we had to ensure they knew how best to document as well as wanting to sincerely learn more about the culture. You will not regret hiring these two. I would hire them both again in a heartbeat! This husband/wife team creates magic!
