Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyone's way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. We would work again with Chris in a heartbeat and friends have already requested his contact information for their ceremony. As an added bonus, because we did not end up using Chris for all of the allotted time, he offered to do a separate photoshoot whenever we would like. It's those little attention to details and customer service which make Chris stand out from the rest. We had the pleasure of seeing her work firsthand at a friend's wedding, with who knows how many cameras strapped on! Seeing her attention to detail firsthand and the beautiful quality of our friends photos, she was first on our list for a consultation. From our first call, Katelyn embraced our vision with enthusiasm and professionalism. We knew we wanted a documentary-style photographer with the option of film photos (we loved that Katelyn includes these already) who could capture the genuine emotions and candid moments of our wedding with our lively group, and Katelyn delivered! Having an engagement shoot beforehand was a great practice run, she has an incredible talent for putting people at ease, and this truly shines through in the photos. We have never felt so photogenic! Our album turned out better than we could have dreamed up. It is truly reflective of us and our day. Complete with details of my treasured Kirkland sweatpants on the way to our venue contrasted with my dress glam Katelyn’s commitment to us was truly exceptional as she had a family loss shortly before our wedding. It would have been more than understandable for her to need more time away or to find us a replacement. Despite this, Katelyn remained fully committed to capturing our day and we are so so grateful. Her dedication and professionalism during such a difficult time speaks volumes about her passion for her work and for her clients. Katelyn is a true artist and an amazing person. “Charles was a delight to work with. We won’t give away the thoughtful things that Charles surprised us with during our engagement photo session because, well, then, you’ll expect them and lose out on those “oh wow” feelings. Suffice it to say, we are still delighted months later. He had vision for our engagement pictures and they came out so beautifully we had them framed and placed on every table at the reception. (We had one of our guests say I’m sorry not sorry but I stole the picture at my table and I’m putting it in my living room.) Later, we found that two other pictures were taken by other guests. The ultimate form of flattery and quality of the pictures!! The ceremony and reception pictures look great of course, but Charles did a fabulous job capturing the little details of our wedding that many people might not think of. We interviewed several photographers but ultimately went with Charles because of his vibe. Very chill, very open to what we wanted. We appreciated that he did a walkthrough of the venue in advance to understand the lighting and what challenges there might be with sight lines. He also sent us an "Important Details Checklist" to make sure nothing was missed on the wedding day. That checklist included a list of important people who we wanted to make sure were photographed. We found the pricing reasonable and the transaction seamless. A deposit in advance via credit card to hold the day and the balance due right before the wedding, all through a password protected web portal. The best part was that Charles was communicative before, during, and after the wedding. He had a preview gallery of our best pictures ready by the time we got back from our honeymoon. We recommend him without hesitation.”
