Hi there, I'm Rachel, a portrait and wedding photographer based in Washington DC and NYC. With a BFA in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's degree in Film Studies from the University of Edinburgh, I have spent over 15 years honing my skills and deepening my understanding of photography as an art form. When I'm not behind the camera, I’m often delving into the world of mid-century design, watching films and going on hikes with my husband, Jamie.

I offer my clients friendship and memories in addition to beautiful photographs. Together, we’ll make the most of dramatic light, candid moments, and organic settings to capture your true essence. It’s always a priority that your time with me feels comfortable, effortless and natural. When documenting, I focus on the action and emotion, as well as the quiet, in-between moments. After a refined post-production process, I deliver cinematic photos; forever stills from a moment in your life.
