It is named after Jacob Swoope, the first mayor of Staunton and a land developer in the late 1700s. The Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns offers one of the largest event spaces in the Shenandoah Valley for special events, corporate meetings, banquets, wedding receptions, private parties, and high school proms. Area events including wine festivals, trade shows, and concerts are also held here.

We perform Intimate elopements for two and take care of the officiant, flowers, cake and champagne toast. Conduct your ceremony in our octagon or barrel room or outdoors on our 14 acre property which includes a one acre vineyard.
