Rob photographed our wedding and what initially set him apart was his video messages and desire to have video meetings (we got married during the COVID-19 pandemic). At first, we found it a bit unusual, but we quickly realized that the video calls made it so much easier to get to know Rob and build a connection, particularly during a time when in-person meetings aren't an easy option. We had a few video calls to talk through our vision and hopes for the wedding day. Rob also walked us through examples of weddings he had done that would be similar in style to ours so we could get a sense of his artistic approach. We could immediately tell that he was very thorough and detail-oriented. As we were planning out the day, Rob gave super helpful suggestions, demonstrating his knowledge of what worked in the DC area (including at the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, and the DC War Memorial) from a photographer’s perspective, and helped us develop a realistic plan for the day given our time together. On the wedding day, Rob made us feel very comfortable - both with him and with having our photo taken as we were newbies at that. And all of our guests felt the same way as he was organizing the after ceremony family portraits. He also turned around the final product in a very timely manner (within one month), and provided a sneak peak within the first week. We were completely blown away. I bought my first DSLR camera in 2004 when my now wife, Tracey, and I were taking a cruise to Alaska. For a monumental trip like this, I HAD to get an amazing camera. Those 8.2 megapixels with nine four points had me in LOVE. Ever since then, the ability of a photograph to be able to freeze time; freeze an emotion; freeze a memory has kept me addicted. Whether it’s getting a great angle, finding light that tells the story, or capturing the true personality of someone; it all brings a smile to my face and hopefully yours!

I contacted Jon through his website less than three weeks before I was planning to propose. I received a response within a few hours, had a call with him to work out the details within a few days. Jon had great suggestions for my proposal plan and was able to provide example images of other proposals he had captured at various locations. The examples he provided were very helpful in my planning and gave me assurance as to what the final product would look like. Jon contacted me the week of the proposal to confirm final details and was responsive via text the day of. He was prompt and was at the location at the planned time. Initially was hidden in the background allowing the proposal to still feel intimate and private.
