For me, photography all started with the outdoors. As someone who loves to bike, hike, kayak, and backpack, photos were a way to capture the vistas and memories I was creating. Photography snowballed into sports, journalism, concerts, products, events, portraits, finally landing on weddings. Weddings became what I loved most due to their fast pace nature, creative freedom, and the opportunity to document real, life-long memories. Every couple and every family has a unique, incredible story. It’s a blessing to be able to document these life-changing events that people can look back on forever.

Your wedding should not feel like a production. I want to get to know you and what matters to you, then give you the freedom to experience your wedding adventure to the fullest. When you are able to be present, THAT is when you will get images that you love, images that feel like you.

    We are so happy we booked Rob Jinks as our photographer! You can tell he truly cares about his clients and puts so much thought and effort into his work.     My husband and I are so happy we chose to work with Rob for our wedding day! From the very start of the process, Rob was personable and asked us many thoughtful questions about our love story, our vision for our wedding day, and why we wanted to invest in wedding photos. Perhaps more so than any other vendor, he took the time to get to know us and understand our values. Our fun engagement session introduced us to Rob's adventurous spirit and authentic approach to taking portraits. We're both a little camera shy but enjoyed the process and genuinely treasure our engagement pictures. On our wedding day, Rob was an oasis of calm and confidence. He even surprised us with a physical preview photo album shortly after the ceremony. He is a consummate professional, kept us on track through the planning process, and asked the best questions. We are so happy we chose Robs Jinks Photography and happily give him our highest recommendation.

    Rob did an amazing job. The guests loved him and he really got some amazing shots. He got down on the ground, climbed fences, and ran all over the place to get the shot when we thought of it. He make everyone comfortable and really make sure to get those shots during the wedding with dancing and fun

    I enthusiastically recommend Rob for all your photography needs. He is super personable, affordable, and his photos are absolutely stunning. Rob photographed our wedding and what initially set him apart was his video messages and desire to have video meetings (we got married during the COVID-19 pandemic). At first, we found it a bit unusual, but we quickly realized that the video calls made it so much easier to get to know Rob and build a connection, particularly during a time when in-person meetings aren't an easy option. We had a few video calls to talk through our vision and hopes for the wedding day. Rob also walked us through examples of weddings he had done that would be similar in style to ours so we could get a sense of his artistic approach. We could immediately tell that he was very thorough and detail-oriented. As we were planning out the day, Rob gave super helpful suggestions, demonstrating his knowledge of what worked in the DC area (including at the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, and the DC War Memorial) from a photographer’s perspective, and helped us develop a realistic plan for the day given our time together. On the wedding day, Rob made us feel very comfortable - both with him and with having our photo taken as we were newbies at that. And all of our guests felt the same way as he was organizing the after ceremony family portraits. He also turned around the final product in a very timely manner (within one month), and provided a sneak peak within the first week. We were completely blown away. The photos were vibrant, creative, and captured the joy and memories of the day so well. Family and friends are already hanging them up in their houses.
