“I am a wedding planner and Alexandria and I originally met at a wedding we worked together, where I was the planner and she was the photographer. As the planner, it's my job to communicate with the full team of vendors and make sure all of us are on the same page to serve the couple and do the best we can to give them the wedding they envisioned. Through no ones fault, this wedding didn't quite turn out as envisioned because there ended up being a tornado warning! This meant that we had to move what was originally supposed to be an outdoor rooftop ceremony to a banquet hall indoors and it put a lot of the planned outdoor group photography up in the air. Oh boy! I tell this story because now looking back at the photos from that wedding, I think some of the most special ones (at least from my outsider perspective) are the ones she captured from the couple's first look, which happened outdoors in the rain. Rain was not a part of the plan, but is forever now one of the most beautiful memories of this couples day. Alexandria's ability to roll with things and capture the realness of what was happening is not a talent every photographer has (and I've worked with a lot)! She was exactly what you'd look for in a vendor - great communication, being one step ahead of things, knowing exactly where to have her eyes and lens on what was important to capture in the moment. A few years later I was lucky enough to be the coordinator, hired by Alexandria and her husband for their "big" wedding so they were able to enjoy their day. It is always an honor to be a vendor trusted by another vendor for their wedding because they can be understandable more selective in who they want to work with. It was a joy to get to know her more on a personal level through this process, and the values and vibes that are important to her. Her and her husband had already been living in Washington for some time and I could tell the Pacific NW lifestyle was perfect for them, which translates directly into the updated direction of her photography business. I appreciate a vendor that doesn't try and be everything to everyone, and instead focuses on a tailored, personalized experience to be able to specifically serve those they align with the best. Also, listen to me as a planner - Photography is one of the MOST important vendors and spends you should make for your wedding because when everything is said and done, all you will have are those photos. Plan your adventure elopement with her today!”
