Bent Creek Farm is located on 52 acres of rolling pastures and wooded trails in Upstate SC. Brides have their choice of five unique sites for their ceremony including our beautiful barn and several rustic romantic outdoor private locations. Our beautiful 1800 square feet climate-controlled barn has many unique features, walking trails with trees, creeks, wildlife, birds and various plants and flowers along the edge. A group of professional caterers and hospitality employees envisioned an event space like no other. We were lead to an aging, almost forgotten piece of our past. The old Cotton Depot in Clinton SC quietly sat on the edge of downtown. The building spoke to us, 17,000 square feet of handmade brick each telling a story, 11ft ceilings with exposed beams, arched windows and wide planked floors. We immediately began designing the space. Through our catering experience we knew the need for easy access, a good flow and having conveniently located facilities. We also knew the importance of having multifunctioning spaces that can be dressed up or down to make each event uniquely yours. From the most elegant affair to down home country charm, Cotton Loft is merely a canvas. The picture we paint is yours.

The Hartley House (also known as the Bond-Bates-Hartley House) located in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina was built circa 1790 for John Pearson Bond. The house later came into possession of John Bates, husband of John Pearson Bond’s great niece and a member of the family that the town of Batesburg was named for. There are many local legends surrounding this house and it’s friendly visitors. According to local tradition, the Bond-Bates-Hartley House served as a stagecoach stop and post office, prior to the founding of the town of Batesburg. Architecturally the house is a typical upcountry farmhouse, with a portico adapted from the Greek Revival style.

In 1874, Father Theodore Butler purchased a home and a lot in Augusta, Georgia, for $10,000.00 to construct a building to be used as a church for the Catholic population and a school for children of all denominations. A simple Victorian structure served as a temporary facility for the church until work could begin on a larger, more significant building for the group. The first bricks were laid for Sacred Heart Church in 1897 and the church opened with the first service on December 2, 1900. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building features towering twin spires, graceful arches, fifteen distinctive styles of brickwork, ninety-four stained glass windows, a barreled vaulted ceiling, and intricately carved Italian marble altars. Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, the last mass was held in Sacred Heart on July 3, 1971.

We have a selection of preferred vendors for catering, beverage service, specialty baked goods or cakes. We are happy with work with any DHEC permitted, licensed and insured caterer.

The house, that is now the face of Southern Oaks, was built in 1820. Still with its original wooding and design, this house is what makes our venue stand out from others. It includes a Bridal Suite, Groom's Room, a Den Area for parents and grandparents to relax, and a recently added "Ladies Loft" just for hair and makeup. The home is filled with large, elegant chandeliers and stunning furniture. The property has 3 historic barns, a chapel, 2 patio decks, and the largest reception area in Lexington County. The outdoor area is full of pecan and oak trees, along with a breathtaking lush landscape.
