Lacuna Lofts is unlike any wedding venue we have seen, and we are so glad that we were able to have our wedding there. The skydeck is our favorite part, with that insane view of the city. I was not prepared for that moment when I was walking down the aisle, with all of the people that I love staring back at me, and that beautiful skyline in the background. The inside is even more unique! We loved the artwork mixed in with the warehouse, and were able to get some great pictures beforehand with the bridal party inside the building. I have never seen any other space like this, and our guests absolutely loved the food quality and the service. It was an excellently executed party, with no line at the bar and constant attention from the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better night!

We had a small rehearsal dinner, followed by a big welcome party on the river for over 200 guests from 20 different states. This is a perfect location for people that have never been to Chicago and those that are locals, because the view of the river and the buildings is absolutely stunning. They have the biggest covered outdoor patio in the city, and it was a perfect setting for our guests. From the dinner food to the appetizers and cocktails, every single detail was excellent. We couldn't believe how kind the staff was, from the person that we first interacted with to every bartender. They were flexible and really cared about making this experience enjoyable and unique for our guests, and wow, they delivered! We are so thankful for what your team put together for us. We couldn't be happier with how our wedding at the Chicago Winery turned out! We booked our date before CW construction was fully complete, but we loved everything about the space from the very beginning. It is an incredibly warm and inviting venue that was perfect for our day - we absolutely loved the ceremony/reception space but also really enjoyed having the terrace space for cocktail hour and as a quieter area during the reception for guests to step out while the band was playing. We had about 170 people at our event, and it was the perfect number for the space. One of the big selling points for us was that CW handles all food and drink onsite and everything was WONDERFUL. One of the top compliments we received from guests was how good the food was. The CW team made us feel special and celebrated throughout the entire process and were very flexible and accommodating based on our various needs. We had the pleasure of working with Hulda, the CW event coordinator, in the months leading up to our wedding and cannot say enough great things about her!! Hulda was very responsive and easy to communicate with. She answered all of our random questions and made us feel at ease with all of the details. The day-of event staff was also so excellent – everyone was so nice and clearly working so hard to keep everything moving. We are so grateful for the awesome CW event team!

Our family held a rehearsal dinner for 60 people at Porter Kitchen on a beautiful night last fall and had the most wonderful experience. We worked with Laura, who shepherded us through the entire process from beginning to end. She welcomed every idea and desire we had with open arms, allowed us to bring in outside vendors for tables and chairs, linens, glassware and flowers and never once said “no” to any request we had. She introduced us to the chef at our tasting and he was fantastic with a willingness to adjust their entrée presentation and ingredients as long as we used ingredients that were already on their menu. They made adjustments for guests with gluten allergies and chef did all of this with a willingness to make his guests happy, without ego. The meal he and the staff served was spectacular and the table service matched the food. Throughout the evening, the ratio of staff to guests was abundant. Passed appetizers flowed continuously and there was never any wait for drinks. They encouraged us to stream our own Spotify playlists through their sound system to create the atmosphere we were seeking and helped us play videos on their multiple TV’s as well. By the end of the evening, our guests were raving about the event and how warmly they were treated the entire evening by the staff. Regardless of the type of event you are holding, this is a location on the river that is not to be missed and a more importantly, an exceptionally professional and accommodating staff that will help your vison come to life. Porter Kitchen easily exceeded all expectations and has earned our highest recommendation!

Amazing Space@625 was the perfect venue for our traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony. The staff was excellent and very responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was truly unique and spacious, with plenty of room for our guests to mingle and celebrate. The free parking was a huge plus for downtown Chicago, and I especially loved the private bridal suite to get ready in. Overall, Amazing Space@625 contributed greatly to making our special day unforgettable.

We found Sepia Private Dining and it was the perfect venue for our small wedding (50 guests). The Sepia staff did almost everything to make my wedding everything I wanted. The mirror on the wall and the decor matched our vibe. We had one set-up for the ceremony, then the guests had appetizers (we left to take pictures) and they changed the set-up for dinner and then moved a couple of tables for dancing later. I did not have a wedding planner and they made everything easy, from planning the menu to the set-up it was a stress free day! I would strongly recommend Sepia Private Dining for all of your smaller events.

I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. I recommend AVEC with the highest level and without any hesitation if you are seeking a life time experience to be remembered for generations.

Our rental fee for the ceremony space of $1385 includes: rental of the venue (indoor sanctuary/outdoor courtyard), officiant services, wedding coordinator, custodial services, and premarital counseling materials, and rehearsal time ($100 additional if you plan to serve food at the rehearsal). If the sanctuary is rented, the price also includes a computer operator/pianist & audio tech to run the sound system. The fellowship hall rental for reception is an additional $400-$500 ($400 M-F/$500 Sat-Sun).

Morris built The Chapel as the Centre Meeting House on his 1,000 acre farm in Niles, Michigan. Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.

This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!

Ellen Woods knocked it out of the park! We absolutely made the right decision in selecting Tigerlily as our wedding caterer and Cafe Brauer as our venue. From start to finish (even after our wedding day!), Ellen answered all of our questions thoroughly and in a timely manner, remaining flexible and patient, working closely with her beverage director and catering to ensure our St Patrick's Day wedding was stellar. The tastings & meetings were personal with extreme attention to detail all the way through. The speed of flipping the Great Hall from ceremony to reception was superb, even our guests commented on it! To top it off, Ellen made sure that the exterior of the building looked 110% prior to our big day; she truly did everything in her power to make things happen for us and saw it through. We had our wedding at the Bottom Lounge in May of 2023. We always thought getting married in the city would be above our budget, however the Bottom Lounge is an amazing West Loop venue that is affordably priced. The space is a gorgeous city loft space, and does not require much decor as the space is stunning. Natalie M. is the best part of the Bottom Lounge. She is an expert in weddings and wedding decor and will help you have the best day. Natalie managed our decor and did an incredible job - everything looked perfect. She also managed our timeline once we were in the space, vendors, our bridal party and a full staff who kept our night on time and stress free. Many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and a lot of that had to do with the venue. The food was incredible, the bar was managed well (no lines) and Natalie works hard to make it an amazing day and keep it within your budget. We cannot recommend the Bottom Lounge enough!

We had our reception at Salvatore's in December 2024 and I couldn't recommend this place enough! We changed our venue to Salvatore's 6 months before our date and where other spaces said "not possible", Salvatore's was so helpful and eased all stress. They were welcoming, professional, and responding quickly given we had a bit of a time crunch. Marco, Camryn, and Brandon were our main points of contact, but the entire staff even day of were phenomenal! We had about 150 people and the space was exactly what we wanted - intimate but not tight. The food & drink were above our expectations even the late night snacks! And it was so helpful that we knew the total cost before the night started. Their prices were reasonable and for the value you get I was honestly shocked. I couldn't recommend this place more for people looking for a Chicago wedding or event! The Salvatore's team is truly the best!

I couldn't be happier with our decision to book The Carter as our wedding venue! The staff made the night go flawlessly. My wedding coordinator even commented how impressed she was with how quick their staff was able to move throughout setup during the day. She also complimented the catering coordinator as being a complete pro. With The Carter you are required to use their caterer, D'Absolute, but that was not a problem for us because the food was phenomenal. Wedding food can be hit or miss, but we had multiple guests raving about everything from the apps to the late night snacks. Chris allowed us to include 2 signature drinks and customized our bar menu to whatever we wanted. Since I got married on my birthday Chris even upgraded our glassware free of charge which was such a sweet, unexpected gesture! They are very flexible with how you want to use the space, which I loved because we were able to make the event truly unique. What sold me on the space is that you don't need to add much additional decor because it's so beautiful on its own. The connecting courtyard comes with string lights. The interior space includes multiple chandeliers and string lights over the dance floor. Most other places you'd need to bring those details in, and pay for them. What I also love about the space is you get the "lofty, urban" feel without all of the pillars/poles in a typical loft space. You get high ceilings and an open floor plan, which makes the space look so much nicer (in my opinion). The cost is a little pricier than other venues we explored, however I 100% think we paid for higher quality and I have zero regrets.

South Bend does not offer a lot of premier, elite, and professional venue spaces, so The Brick is truly in a class all its own. It was very easy to coordinate a visit with the venue coordinator, DeAsarae, who streamlined the process and it made it very easy upon booking. She connected me to the catering company which was also very professional and worked to ensure my vendors had access to the venue space on the day of the event to pull off a great celebration of my husband's milestone birthday! I highly recommend The Brick to anyone interested in a quality event in a beautiful space!

we used the outside white pavilion as our rehearsal dinner space and welcome drinks and it was perfect! The set up was beautiful, with the harbor outside. The only thing they don't have a speaker or microphone so we had to bring our own & you have to decorate the tables on your own they do not provide any floral or décor. But if you know that upfront they are great to work with & food was good!

Northlake is one of the most beautiful venues in Southwest Michigan in Berrien Springs. Regardless of the time of year, you can have the ceremony inside or outside and it is very spacious if you are wanting to have a larger wedding. This is a venue that does not require massive amounts of decor, because of how beautiful it is on its own. The bridal suites are spacious, and comfortable. There are also many photo opts on the property, including by the lake and around the venue, to take photos with your significant other and bridal party. The scenic view out back is beautiful for all times of the year depending on when you have your wedding. My husband and I are extremely thankful to have gotten to work with Danelle throughout planning our wedding! She was amazing and helpful with questions we had, and we couldn’t have done a lot of it without her! She was also very flexible and willing to work with us to make our day exactly what we wanted and special.

I could not be happier with my experience with City View Loft! We had both our ceremony and reception there in early September and both The Kitchen and The Loft space really fit our vision. The food is way better than other wedding food I've had since it's not your typical basic recipes, and there are so many options to choose from. I felt as though the food on the day of was better than our tasting, which was still exquisite. Even during the tasting, you're able to make any changes (more salt, less sauces, etc.), which we didn't need to for anything but it was nice to have the option. Definitely one of the highlights of the wedding if you're foodies like we are. The venue coordinator Mary was seriously an angel in disguise. She became our coordinator about a month or two before the wedding, and she was so organized and pleasant to work with. On the day of, I had some issues with the day of coordinator I hired, but Mary stepped in and made sure our decorations were set and that we had everything we needed. She was informative about how the day would go, and was very responsive leading up to and throughout the wedding day. Without Mary, it would have been a way more stressful day! All the venue coordinators we worked with were great and I'm confident any of them would have delivered top service, but Mary holds a special place in my heart :) Everyone we interacted with at the venue was incredibly polite and clearly knew what they were doing. In addition to their pricing being very reasonable for everything you get, their organization is top notch, the spaces are stunning without much decoration, and the views truly are immaculate. I highly recommend booking City View Loft for your wedding or any event you're considering having there. You will not be disappointed!

We absolutely loved having our wedding day at Fairlie and would have it there 100 times again. The beauty of this space is that you can really make it yours with whatever decor you choose to bring in. Alexis and Alex at Fairlie are incredibly easy to work with, super laid back, and are just as excited about your big day as you are. The romantic vibes that we got in this space at golden hour just elevated our wedding that much more, and the exposed brick really made this a unique venue for our city wedding. The curtains allow for an easy way to flip the space and also are just beautiful paired with the tall ceilings. Our guests loved how big the bar was because they felt there was never too long of a wait for a drink. So many good things to say — we love Fairlie so much!!!!

Its everything I wanted in terms of it being and open rustic vibe. We added very little decor to the space because the space is beautiful in its own right. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and the patio space. We had both our ceremony and reception here. Jen was a joy to work with. She was super responsive easy to communicate with and answered revert single question I had. Would highly reccomend if you’re looking for a beautiful open ceremony/reception space. You will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Arbory as a wedding venue. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were blown away by the modern jungalow vibes and stunning surroundings. The space is so beautiful and full of living plants that helped us stretch our floral budget while still creating a gorgeous blossoming space! The team at The Arbory was incredibly accommodating and flexible, allowing us to set up the space exactly as we envisioned for our special day. The bridal suite is amazing and provided a great space for us as a couple to step away and connect throughout the nice. I would also note that we loved the built-in photo/video booth! One of the most impressive moments was when they seamlessly flipped the ceremony space into the reception area, quickly and stealthily. It was truly a magical transformation. And I have to give a special shoutout to Shay, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect and that we were happy.
