About this venue

Winona’s is a family-run restaurant, all-day café and natural wine bar from partners Cressida Greening and Emir Dupeyron, nestled in Northern Bed-Stuy. Anchored by seasonally-driven dishes, thoughtfully curated natural wine, and community events with guest chefs, wine experts and food activists. Winona’s started as an extension of supper clubs regularly hosted in our apartment right next door, where we gathered friends and strangers around one long table. The space was designed to evolve from our dining room where we could continue to bring people together. We hope to offer our guests an experience that is not limited by time but where lingering over dessert or conversation is encouraged.

Tucked behind a long corridor which reveals a beautifully designed dining room, our backroom is a hidden oasis from the bustle

This space is extremely versatile and works beautifully for all moments of a small intimate wedding. We have hosted ceremonies, dinners as well as receptions. Given its hidden nature, the space feels open and expansive from the natural light of the skylights and the plants, yet super private at the same time. We have an extremely sophisticated sound system to please any audiophile as well as a disco ball and special party lighting.

The team at Winona's helped us make our wedding day everything we could have ever hoped it would be. It was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives. Cressida and the Winona's team made coordinating the event a breeze. They were warm, efficient and extremely thorough. Winona's made sure we had everything we wanted to celebrate our day. We cannot imagine having hosted our reception anywhere else. The space is beautiful, the food was outstanding, the beverage selection was top notch and the service was warm and welcoming. I cannot recommend Winona's highly enough. 10 out of 10 would do it all over again.

We had an incredible experience hosting our wedding dinner/reception at Winona's. Cressida was the most thoughtful and easy to work with coordinator we could have asked for, and the whole team made the night feel really special. Our guests also loved the food, which was one of our priorities. We highly recommend Winona's if an intimate setting with great food, wine, and vibes is what you are looking for!

If you’re looking for an intimate, dinner party wedding aesthetic, the Winona’s team executes beyond your wildest imagination. From the beginning, they were so easy to communicate with, offered their professional, creative advice, and collaborated with all our vendors to create the perfect evening. The team was so attentive and caring to each one of our guests, and the food was phenomenal; our friends and family are still raving about it. Truly could not have had a better experience with them - Winona’s holds a very special place in our hearts!

Winona's is such an incredibly beautiful space and the food is always delicious. They also have a great sound system which is a huge plus. Cressida is easy to work with and clear in her communications, and does everything she can to make sure people are taken care of and have a good time. We highly recommend!

Yes, this is certainly possible however does not effect the minimum spend.

Events usually run for 5 hours, from 6pm-11pm but we have the option to extend early or later (2am is our curfew), for an additional fee of $1,500 per hour.

Set up, clean up, tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, napkins.

Yes, all our restaurant is fully ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible. Service dogs are welcome.

We require a 50% deposit upon signing of the contract. Cancellation made two months before the event date will incur half the total cost, cancellation made one month prior will be subject to the full amount.

The way the ‘minimum spend’ works in the case of a full buyout, is we charge $120 for food per person - the menu is chosen by you from our regular menu for that week, we are happy to take into consideration any dietary restrictions and tweak as necessary. In terms of drinks you will have carte blanche to pick from our full bottle list as well as our back bar and cocktail list, any and all wine, cocktails or other drinks consumed will be added to your tab and will go toward the minimum spend for the night.

We do not. Street parking, especially on the weekends is very possible.

Our building is located 12 miles away from LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York. You can reach our venue by public transportation via the subway or train, or by private car or taxi.
