He was always available and definitely helped to take some of the stress out of the planning process. We were worried that our intimate wedding of about 75 people might not feel like a party but that was not the case at all! Dave had just about everyone up on the dance floor. He is truly the best at what he does and did so many fun things throughout the reception that made it even more memorable. He also owns his own Photo Booth which we decided to add on when we were about a month out and so happy we did! He sent us a Dropbox link with all of the Photo Booth pictures from the night which was great. Highly recommend! He was truly a pleasure to work with and we only wish we could party with him every weekend!”

The day of the wedding, she and her team were right on time, and took care of my bridal party, mother, and mother in law quickly and beautifully! They helped my mother in law (who’s even more nervous about makeup than I am) feel relaxed and beautiful, and answered my mom’s very specific concerns with no issues. Everyone in my bridal party felt gorgeous, and so did I!! They brought a calming presence to what could have been a hectic morning, and everyone who was part of the getting ready process agreed that we couldn’t have had a better beauty team.”

“My husband and I hired Madison as our day of coordinator. We did not hire a florist and ended up doing a lot of DIY projects for our wedding decor. We really wanted a professional to help us with setup and take-down of decor on the wedding day, so as not to burden our family/friends and take them away from the event to help. Madison was so friendly in the months leading up to the wedding and offered us lots of helpful advice on things we didn't even think to prepare for, like arranging seating charts and timing of processional songs. Our original venue coordinator ended up having to move away just a couple weeks before our wedding day, and Madison took the lead in syncing with the new venue coordinator on all the things we'd talked about. This really helped us out and took a load off our plate in those last few weeks before the wedding! The day of, she came early to the venue and, like a fairy godmother, had incorporated all of our decorations beautifully before we even arrived, so we were able to take lots of photos beforehand! Throughout the event, she cleverly found ways to repurpose some of our decor items to give them a second life, like setting reception flower arrangements along the room's bookshelves to dress them up for the ceremony, making a beautiful display with our ceremony roses and boutonnieres on our memory table, and using me and my bridesmaids' bouquets to create a beautiful sweetheart table arrangement! We were so incredibly thrilled with how well Madison and her team were able to follow our vision and exceed our expectations. A final sweet memory I have from near the end of the night - my hair was getting very tangled with my dress buttons on my back from dancing, and I was overheating and sweaty. Madison and her team arranged my hair into a beautiful low bun style so I could go back and have fun dancing again without worrying about it tangling further or looking bad. :) I'm so thankful we hired Madison as our day of coordinator, and we can't recommend her enough!!”

“First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.”

“Madison photographed my destination wedding in Antigua in June of 2024 and I could not have asked for a better photographer! We had a unique request for only candid photos throughout our three nights of events (we wanted the only posed photos to be quick group shots with family and friends right after our ceremony). She was so excited by the idea and over-delivered on all our wishes. She captured so many candid moments of my husband and me, of us celebrating with our dearest friends and family, and special moments of our guests that we hadn't gotten to see. The photos came out so beautifully, it's hard to believe they were truly candid and unplanned. It was such a gift to have these memories preserved; going through our wedding albums was like re-living all three days because she captured us in the middle of the memories as we made them. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“Daniela's work is absolutely stunning! As a wedding planner I have booked her for clients who have loved her work and I also booked her for my own wedding. I went for the trio of wedding cakes with a big dessert spread for guest count of over 250 people. Everyone was raving about the display which was stunning and the treats were delectable. There wasn't one dessert bite left. I just celebrated my one year anniversary and we enjoyed the top tier of the wedding cake which was kept in the freezer all year, it was still so moist and delicious. He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!!
