I booked the Palmer Inn for my wedding reception. I absolutely loved it. The estate is beautiful and the house was a 10/10. My husband and I stayed with some friends and we had no complaints. The Jiddi Space & Courtyard, part of Raleigh's Helig-Levine Complex, comprises four historic buildings dating back to the late 1800s. Originally a furniture and dry goods store, the space evolved into a stockroom for Heilig-Levine Furniture Store. Restored by Empire Properties in 2005, it now serves as an event venue managed by neighboring restaurants Sitti and Gravy. Hosting parties, weddings, and events, it retains its historic charm with market lights and a rich heritage spanning nearly 150 years.

Jiddi Space & Courtyard was an excellent choice for our wedding reception. Their communication throughout the planning process was responsive, pleasant, and professional. The ambiance of their venue was perfect for our wedding, with a beautiful space that allowed for a wonderful evening of celebration and dancing with our family and friends. The Jiddi team went above and beyond to make our special day truly magical, from the beginning of the planning stages to the end of the evening. The food was also delicious, and we would highly recommend Jiddi Space & Courtyard to others looking for a special event venue.

The Historic Wakefield Barn is a National Historic Site that sits on 14 acres – the property includes a bridal suite, horse barn, the main barn and outdoor event spaces. The venue combines the barn’s history with subtle modern touches that result in a unique event space. The property is still an active horse farm, with two horses who live on-site named Mandatory, and Jackson!

The Historic Wakefield Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Their communication throughout the planning process was outstanding - Brent was so helpful and responsive, making the entire experience stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a unique vintage and classy feel that exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make our day special, providing a beautiful custom "Savannah" hanger when we booked the venue and even arranging for horses to be part of our celebration. When it rained right after our ceremony, we were so grateful for the indoor/outdoor capabilities - the team had a seamless rain plan that allowed us to enjoy the rest of the evening indoors. I highly recommend The Historic Wakefield Barn to any couple looking for a stunning, versatile wedding venue.
