The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is an event venue located on a heritage farm in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s a blend of Southern elegance, rolling meadows, and mature forests. As the premier venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and other Triangle functions, the property provides numerous options for both outdoor and indoor entertaining! ​ Combining centuries-old charm with the best of modern conveniences, the setting is designed to capitalize on the views from every vantage point. Situated on over eleven pastoral acres with mature hardwoods and beautiful landscaping, The Oaks at Salem provides a plethora of photo opportunities beyond your imagination. The main level of the house offers a cozy fireplace and over one thousand square feet of veranda overlooking our ceremony wall, serene, one-acre pond, and newly acquired rustic barn.

Sugarneck is rumored to have gotten its name by the bootleggers traveling along the Cape Fear River as a code word for the place where they would pick up their moonshine. Sugarneck reaches back long before smartphones and social media, back to a time when the only way to send a message was by writing a letter and sending it in the mail. One of the earliest U.S. Post Offices in North Carolina still stands strong today. It was a community where people gathered, shared news and good times. Built in 1874, the renovated original Cabin structure serves as a unique visual reminder of those simpler times. The Cabin and the Post Office are on the National Register of Historic Places. The vast scenic views of the North Carolina countryside along with the grandness of our 150 year old Oak trees do not go unnoticed, and at night, the stars light up the sky. Today, there is an unexpected immersive experience that brings history, nature and modern elegance together in total privacy.

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. The main space is heated and cooled so you can be comfortable in any season. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

Once owned by Pulitzer prize winner Paul Green, this completely renovated 1890s farmhouse nestled under towering oaks offers a seamless blend of old and new. Tons of history yet it looks like something Joanna Gaines decorated.

With a reimagined chapel, Euro-inspired courtyard, and beautifully landscaped grounds, this dream setting capacity is 100 guests or less. Enjoy our 3,000 outdoor patio with our stone fireplace, wrought iron gazebo, all overlooking our 4,000 lavender plants.
