“Y’all, it is not an over-exaggeration when I say: hiring EventBay and Bashan was single-handedly the greatest choice we made in our entire wedding process. I cannot thank Bashan enough for her services, in addition to her several helpers who supported our wedding. My husband and I contracted with EventBay for our day-of wedding coordination. We’d heard great things about her through our friend/my bridesmaid, and all the hype was real. When we say we chose her, we didn’t realize that this service would include Bashan showing up to and running our entire rehearsal, giving us wrap-around services the day of, and meeting with us several times leading up to the wedding itself. We were so incredibly grateful for all of the supports Bashan gave us throughout the entire process. In addition to her coordination services, we also contracted with Bashan for balloon decoration. Bashan got to know Miles and I with our initial call, in person meeting at the venue, and zoom call, and with all of that knowledge, she threw together the most BEAUTIFUL balloon arch. This took up one of the major walls in our wedding and was full of rainbow colors (I’m nonbinary), marbled balloons, and was complete with thoughtful details of rainbow roses inserted into every color change in the arch. WOW! Let me tell you: this thing took my breath away. I was married at a local venue, and while the event was GORGEOUS, Bashan insured that I would never be aware that a tragedy occurred at the venue unrelated to the wedding. She handled the issue with grace and her and her staff ensured that those of us in the wedding never felt the impact of what occurred. You never want a disaster to strike at your wedding, but to my knowledge, that day, I wasn’t even aware that one had happened, and that really speaks to the services EventBay provides. From now on, I will be contracting with Bashan for everything. If ever a friend needs an event planner, a decorator, ANYTHING, I will tell them: don’t go to anyone else. This is who you NEED!”

“My husband and I found Janice through her blog and were drawn to her transparency about an industry that can often feel opaque and hard to navigate. We met with two other potential planners, but we decided to follow our initial instinct and put our trust in Janice. She did not disappoint! Janice kept the entire planning process incredibly organized and did an amazing job of finding vendors that aligned with our (sometimes very specific) vision. Anytime we started to feel overwhelmed, Janice was ready with a detailed timeline, polite-but-firm reminder emails, and a very encouraging attitude. Janice was also very receptive and enthusiastic about helping us incorporate important cultural elements into our day that she had not had experience previously (ex. A Japanese kagami biraki ceremony). Most importantly, Janice was extremely reliable. For example, my bridesmaids and I were supposed to get our hair and make-up done at a hotel the morning of the wedding, but after we woke up to a power outage and alerted Janice, she immediately jumped into action arranging a new location and updating the beauty and photo teams about the change. She then raced over to the hotel to help me and my MOHs pack up my wedding dress, shoes, accessories, and bridesmaids gifts and convinced the concierge to let us use the emergency freight elevator so that we wouldn’t have to run down 15 flights of stairs. Her husband drove us all to the alternate location and, miraculously, all of the hair, make-up, group photos, and dressing were completed with a whopping 15 minutes to spare! Despite the early morning switch-up, the rest of the day went off without a hitch and we knew the wedding couldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren’t for Janice’s work (both in the planning and the day-of coordination). We are so glad to have hired Janice and 100% recommend Bellwether Events.”

“Words cannot define the worth and joy it was to have Kawania and her team be a part of my wedding day. She was a constant advocate for our needs and budget throughout the process, being realistic at every turn. What I know now is that what you get with Kawania is experience and know-how of the industry. She has planned several weddings and events before and knows how to troubleshoot mishaps that may happen on the wedding day in real time. She understands that the day of the event is a special moment for everyone involved and she knows not to bring stress to the wedding party and to allow them to live in the moment. At subsequent weddings, I have felt that my friends needed this approach with their planners on their wedding day/weekend. I, being their guest or in their bridal party felt the disorganization that their planners or self-planning brought. This was not the case with Kawania. She set up meetings with me and my vendors one-on-one and reviewed all of our vendor contracts to make sure that we were getting a fair contract and that expectations for the vendor and for us were both reasonable and what we were looking for. Being a very busy working professional I appreciated that Kawania went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed on the schedule and was extremely patient when there were moments when I could not. I value how she brought my vision to life and had such great attention to small details that my day was exceptional. I have seen my guests feature elements of my wedding at their subsequent events and it speaks to how she was able to set the bar high for what a classy and unique event should be. Far beyond a wedding planner, she has become someone that I keep in contact with after the wedding. She even checked in on me when there was a major catastrophic event that took place in the area where I lived months after the wedding. There were even moments when I became uncertain or stressed and focused on the wrong thing when it came to my wedding. Kawania, quite like a mother figure helped me realize what my focus should be and to ignore all other distractions so that when I walked down the aisle, I was in full confidence of how the day was going to be and did not feel a single ounce of stress on my wedding day. I could not be more thrilled to work with Kawania again. Although I do not see myself getting remarried I would certainly work with her for any big event I needed in the future. “Create You Events was the reason why our dream wedding became a reality!! My husband and I consider ourselves to be good planners, and like other couples, we thought we could make do without a wedding planner. We were only looking for a day-of coordinator when we reached out to Create You Events. We interviewed Vicky and realized the value she could provide us throughout the planning process. We quickly changed our stance and hired her as both our day-of coordinator and wedding planner. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The amount of time and mental energy saved was beyond worth it. Vicky and her team's guidance kept us on schedule and organized during our nine-month timeline. Vicky was able to handle all obstacles in stride. No challenge was ever too big for her, and that calmed many of our nerves. I've done a lot of event planning in my own career, but you really can't be your own planner especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding on the day itself. Tyra thought of absolutely everything I needed her to think of and more! And no matter how well a wedding is planned, there are always weird things that pop up as you get to the finish line and during the wedding itself--Tyra handled all of those so my hubby and I could enjoy the day. She had absolutely everything covered to the point that I actually felt a bit guilty about how little I did because, hello, that's my personality. As for Tyra's personality--well, she's the best. Super duper friendly, professional and like a good BFF, not afraid to give it to you straight. Highly, highly recommend. P.S.--This was a second wedding for my hubby and I, and it was a very small group. If you figure you don't need a planner because your wedding is going to be intimate, you're wrong. Trust me when I tell you that you still need someone to coordinate with the vendors, make sure the ceremony musicians aren't dead, talk you through a tuxedo crisis, and literally sprint to jump into your officiant's car, who is lost and driving around the mall looking for the venue. ;)”
