Sehar and her team were awesome to work with. She really did her best to keep me (the bride) and my family calm during wedding planning. Sehar very delicately managed our vendors especially when they had made mistakes and ensured a smooth event. She managed our timeline well and made sure the things I really wanted to happen got done. A general note on working with a wedding planner- No wedding planner will be perfect. We are all humans after all. The important thing is to fund someone you jive with and keep clear, effective and open communication between you and the person you have chosen. It's a collaborative process and it really should be that way. Thats the main reason why I chose Bliss Wedding over some of their competitors.

It was more for his information. I had no idea they were scheduled so tightly. I guess if there is anything missing at the Museum, its a small room for a Bride to wait in. Matt spent 24 years in the service industry, catering weddings and galas under master-chefs at 5 star venues throughout the country. Danielle from Every Little Detail was amazing and contributed to the absolute success of the most perfect wedding day. We hired Danielle as a partial planner after deciding (thank goodness) that we could not plan a wedding ourselves. Danielle was there every step of the way. She tended to be 2 steps ahead of us. Ahead of the wedding she'd reach out and ensure we were on track. ELD provided an amazing online tool that contributed to this success to track costs, plan seating, and keep all of our wedding documents in one place. Danielle helped us find some amazing vendors and was especially key in the 60 days ahead of the wedding, finalizing details, coordinating with vendors, and providing great details into what we should expect and prepare for. Day of ELD was even more amazing. The venue said ELD was one of the best planning companies they ever worked with - extremely on top of everything and so seamlessly coordinating every detail (no pun intended!). Every Little Detail was a joy to work with and they helped us create and execute a magical and truly perfect wedding day. I could not recommend them more.

We heard about Besher Events through a friend of a friend and it was the best decision we could’ve possibly made throughout wedding planning! Kristin immediately started suggesting and contacting vendors, and helping come up with the theme/design for the whole wedding. We gave her general ideas and lots of pictures off Pinterest and she made it all come to life. She truly put so much effort into making our day perfect (she even made the sun come out!!) and if anything went wrong we didn’t even notice. Not only is Kristin an amazing wedding planner, but she was also an amazing friend to lean on for the entire 1.5 years of planning. Catering for this planner was challenging, but fulfilling. I'm based in a different state, but I offer a specific cultural Puerto Rican food that the family desired. Needless to say, they did their research for this family! I planned from a distance but I delivered what I needed to deliver. To me, the food was good and it had choices. Setting up to serve the food was a feat, but what made the difference serving it was the help from your the FWS staff. It reminded me why I love what I do, and I hope to work with them again. I never thought it was possible to for me to fully hand over a project to someone else, but she knocked it out of the park! There was inclement weather day-of, and she gave us until the last possible second to pivot to an indoor ceremony and then worked her booty off making sure everything was in place by our start time. We started working with Amanda one year out from our wedding day and she hit the ground running with checklists, timeline planning, and vendor recommendations. We talked through several timeline options and her quarterly check-ins kept us on track with the endless wedding to-do's. On the actual day of, Amanda and her team made us feel so calm and collected throughout the Taste of Chicago traffic, Lake Shore Drive accidents, and wrangling 20 men together for a choreographed dance at the reception. She even bustled my dress with safety pins at cocktail hour after realizing that it was a bit too long. I think the best testament to APE's work is that I never knew - and still don't know - of a single thing that went wrong on our wedding day. Everything was handled with utmost professionalism and without involving myself or my bridal party/family, allowing everyone to sit back and enjoy the celebration. I could not recommend APE, especially Amanda, Mimi, and Annie, any more.

When we sat down for our first planning meeting, we thought we had a decent head start on planning, and quickly realized there were lots of details we hadn't even thought of and were so grateful to her for all her expertise. She helped us to create our vision for our wedding by all the detailed questions she asked which made the planning process much easier! She guided us in all the best questions to ask other vendors, many were questions that never previously crossed our minds. She's also very creative in her ideas, brings a lot of positive energy to the table and overall is just fun to work with! The day of our wedding things went wrong, as they always do, but Kacey handled any issue so we didn't have to worry about it. To this day I'm sure there were other issues I'm still not aware of because Kacey had everything handled. Anyone who hires Kacey for their wedding planning will be in very good hands!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Amy to plan and coordinate our wedding. Our goal was to make our guests feel taken care of. Good food, good drink, good company; bringing the most important people in our lives together to celebrate our relationship and really understand us as a couple. That’s a big ask for a wedding. We trusted Amy to help us get the job done and she absolutely delivered. We booked her partial planning option. Our initial meetings with her, and all of the advice and tools she provided helped us navigate the process very cleanly. We always felt like we could reliably get our questions answered. More important though, she helped us understand what questions we should be asking in the first place, what was important, what was a priority, and what wasn’t. From there, meeting with her virtually and in person at our venue she was ON IT. She was a sponge for information: soaking up every idea, question, or anxiety, and addressing each with her deep experience and expertise. We went into our day confident in the plan we put together, and with an understanding of how things were being executed. That understanding did not prepare us for how blown away we would be by the quality of the job she and her team did on the day and in the lead up to it. Everything with our vendors was perfectly coordinated. Everything with the venue totally taken care of. We were providing a lot of the decor ourselves and her team picked up on and understood exactly what we were going for and assembled everything just as we planned it without any additional communication. They also seamlessly smoothed out and filled in any rough edges in our overall plan for the day, with little details we hadn’t considered identified and taken care of in thoughtful ways. If any small issues or problems popped up they were immediately handled with professionalism and grace. On top of that, Amy went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel special. She knew what was important to us, and made sure it happened. She was always there, but never in the way. A true professional. The day itself went off without a hitch and was better than we had even hoped. We knew this day would be special, but we didn’t realize just how special it would be for us, thanks to Amy and her team. And as fantastic as the process was, the end result was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, not only for us but for our guests as well.

How much does a wedding planner cost?

On average, a full-service wedding planner can cost between $3,000 and $10,000. It depends on where you live and where you’re getting married. Planners in areas with high costs of living, like New York City and San Francisco, may charge upwards of $20,000. If you’re having a destination wedding, consider using a planner local to the area—you’ll avoid paying extra for travel, accommodations, and meals. Day-of coordinators cost less. What do wedding planners do?
