“If you are in need of a DJ for your wedding, I cannot imagine going with anybody but Rick and Bell-Aire Music and Lighting. From the minute we met with him and started our planning, he was absolutely phenomenal. He's not just a DJ, he's almost like an event coordinator. When we sat down to meet, he talked to us about weddings in general and all the things to think about, since our planning had just begun. It literally felt like he could have planned our entire wedding, and his early advice was so greatly appreciated. Like most couples, we were very overwhelmed, and didn't expect our DJ to have such a calming effect on us instantly. Unsurprisingly, when the big day came, he didn't just play music for us, he essentially "ran the show", keeping everything on-time and flowing perfectly. He even came over and made sure we sat down and ate our food, something he warned us is extremely difficult to do with everyone wanting to talk, but very important!! It was clear in every part of the planning process, right through to the end of the actual reception, that his full attention was on us and making our day go perfectly. During the planning process, you will have TONS of questions for all your vendors. Struggling to reach people is INFURIATING. Rick was outrageously responsive, regardless of what day it was, or what time it was. He was responding to e-mails from us within minutes almost every single time. It's a little thing that's not so little. When you're trying to finalize something and need an answer to a question, you'll be begging for a vendor who gets right back to you so you can keep doing whatever you're doing. Rick is that type of guy! He is well known for the Wedding Planning booklet he gives you to fill out, and it is easy to see why. It is awesome. No stone is left unturned, no detail is missed. It offers much useful information to make the process easier for the bride and groom, and covers everything you could think of. As for the actual DJ'ing/music, his choices and ability to read the room, get people up and dancing, and overall give the crowd in front of him what they want was excellent. We had a solid mix of young and old people, and the songs he chose were perfect. Nothing inappropriate, nothing weird, nothing even from a genre that we didn't care for. He knew our vibe as a couple, and he read the vibe of the 160 of our guests perfectly. Everyone had a great time, nobody looked disinterested, and the dance floor was packed! Someone commented that even the volume of the music was perfect. Plenty loud without being deafening to anybody. Also, he didn't inject himself into the party when it wasn't necessary. Lots of DJ's make themselves part of the show, yelling at the crowd to hype them up and doing self-advertising between songs. This is YOUR wedding, you really don't need the DJ screaming their own name looking for new business. Rick was professional and all about the music. His work spoke for itself. Overall, my now-wife and I cannot say enough good things about him. To go with a DJ who basically helps plan the whole party is invaluable. He truly cares about you, he invests himself fully in your big day, and he executes when that day finally comes. And on top of it all, he's the kind of guy you want to be friends with after the fact. I know we will be in touch for years to come, and I look forward to the next event I can call him for!!”
