Brin's Posy

5.0

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Washington, DC

Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.

We were delighted to work with Cailyn for our wedding. The arrangements that she made were truly stunning and received so many compliments. She helped us to work smart to stay within budget and we were able to reuse arrangements for the ceremony and reception while no one was the wiser. This speaks to her artistic ability with flowers and her professionalism around her business. Many businesses in the wedding space will gouge prices and charge for things you don't need. I'm happy to report that Brin's Posy exceeded all of our expectations and made all of our wedding photos just a little extra special.

I was so overwhelmed when I first started looking for florists for our wedding. There are so many options, and I didn’t even know where to start until I found Poppy. They break down the process and steps, making it super easy, almost to the point that it doesn’t feel real. To start, you meet with a floral consultant where you talk through your wedding details, the vibe you’re going for, the general needs, etc. Then they walk you through a list of various wedding floral options: bouquets, table arrangements, signage florals, ceremony florals, etc., and you start to narrow down what you want. In each section, they have a grouping of photos, and you can either select something from that or ask for more options. You can also tweak what they have shown (I picked florals that had eucalyptus in them and requested everything be switched to ruscus). After that, you have a while to go back in and adjust until a deadline, but they accommodated some last-minute adds I had as well. Our consultant was Sophia, and she was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Closer to the wedding, you get assigned a local florist who does the actual designing/styling and installing, and we were lucky enough to get Ron, who matched our inspo images EXACTLY. Everything was so beautiful, and I was so in love with my bouquet. He was also incredibly nice and set everything up so quickly. If you’re looking for something to make the whole floral selection easy, simple, and beautiful (also super transparent with costs), definitely go with Poppy!!

    Woodland Floral Design Co.

    5.0

    • Serves Washington, DC

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

    Awarded Best of Zola
We had a blast working with Misha. Her florals that she executed were phenomenal and even beyond our own expectations. She is very down to earth and was the easiest and my favorite vendor to work with. Echoing what others have mentioned, her signature look is lush, full florals and I feel that her florals are exceptionally full compared to other florists we had initially looked at. If you want florals to be the centerpiece of your event, Misha is your florist! She was always accessible, dependable and great to bounce ideas off of. We provided a color palette to her and the overall vibes and trusted in her creativity and it turned out amazing. It was a very non-stressful experience leaving the florals up to her. We would highly recommend her without any hesitations. A dependable, responsive, artistic vendor but most importantly, a kind, genuine and warm individual!

    Bazarr Blossoms

    5.0

    • Starts at $3,000
    • Serves Washington, DC

My love for floral design began inside the horticulture classroom at my high school. That classroom played a pivotal role in allowing me to be creative in ways that I never had been before. When I left for college, My goal was to study business in order to operate my own Floral Business but I quickly lost track of that dream. The pandemic served as a wake up call for me just like it did for so many others. Allowing me to rediscover my love for flowers and all things beautiful. Bazarr Blossoms is more than a business its a passion that allows me to stay true to that teenager who once created and dreamed inside that high school classroom.

Bazarr was absolutely amazing to work with; I can't even tell you how many times I emailed her late additions and tweaks to our order. The flower arrangements were even better than I could have imagined, and her pricing is very reasonable.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Ket! She was incredibly creative and managed to perfectly capture my somewhat vague vision perfectly, bringing it to life in the most stunning way. Communication with her was fantastic—she was always easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions or updates we had. We were working with a tight budget, and she was incredibly respectful and accommodating. When we decided to DIY some of the arrangements (like the bridesmaids’ bouquets) to save on costs, she was so supportive. She even went above and beyond by connecting us with her wholesaler, making it easy to match the flowers seamlessly. I can’t thank her enough for everything. She made the entire process smooth and helped make our wedding day truly amazing. I can't recommend her enough!

We kindly suggest to book as soon as you can as we are a limited capacity studio and can only take in a certain number of customers per month.

I had the most beautiful bouquet for my City Hall civil ceremony, but no firm plans for the bouquet post-wedding. My florist friend shared Jackie's contact information with me and I contacted her to see if she had the capacity for a last-minute bouquet preservation. Luckily, she had availability and a few hours later, I was taking an impromptu day trip to Cold Spring with my husband. Jackie met us at the station and was so incredibly kind. She gave us a few suggestions of eateries to check out while we were in town. We had a symbolic ceremony a week later and I was so pleased with the service received with my first bouquet, that I asked Jackie to preserve that bouquet as well. Throughout both bouquet preservations, Jackie was very responsive and answered any questions I had. She shared a layout of both bouquets prior to framing and packaged up both frames nicely, with bags, (this is a big deal when you're taking the train) when we returned to Cold Spring for pickup. I'd highly recommend her services to preserve a piece of your special day.

Jessica and her team did the florals for our wedding, and they were AMAZING! She was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. I reached out to many florists, and she was patient and intentional, taking my mumbled jumbled ideas and putting together something magical for our big day. No idea was too big or small. We had several one-on-one meetings, and she put together an inspirational slide deck. That’s when I truly started to see all the pieces coming together! She worked within my budget and let me know beforehand if there would be any additional costs based on what I wanted. It was also nice because I could handle all my floral rentals through her (things like vases and candles) without needing to contact additional vendors. On the actual wedding day, Jessica and her team were incredibly kind, keeping me at ease. I trusted her to get creative and make decisions when I didn't have an exact plan for something. Cannot recommend f&b enough!

As I prepare for my own wedding in April of next year, I was taken aback by the exorbitant costs associated with floral arrangements. Quotes ranging from $6,000 to $7,000, with a minimum commitment of $4,000, were simply unfeasible for me. This led me to explore alternative solutions, and I discovered a passion for creating my own florals. I was delighted to find that I had a knack for it! This experience sparked the idea to launch my faux floral rental business, driven by the belief that beautiful wedding florals shouldn't come with an astronomical price tag. My goal is to make stunning arrangements accessible to all.

While I didn’t use her for a wedding — I most certainly will once I get married! Morgan’s floral arrangements are so well done that I asked to purchase some to decorate my home. Her customer service and attention to detail is out of this world. 10/10 recommend.

To simply say that she goes above and beyond for her couples does not fully capture her level of dedication. We connected from our first phone meeting and she continued to be incredibly patient, giving, and thoughtful throughout our wedding planning journey (which included an unexpected job move across the country!). Her vision and execution are outstanding. I still cannot get over the stunning floral arrangements and special little details she put together for our wedding day. The vendors she helped us choose made things run smoothly and at the same level of excellence. Our guests had a fantastic time. We're so grateful to have worked with Glory. She is the best!

Hi there! I'm Savannah, your main point of contact from the moment you inquire. I'm here to guide you through every step, from the initial consultation to finalizing your floral vision. I'm passionate about helping couples bring their ideas to life and ensuring that the floral details reflect your unique style and love story. Seeing our couples' joy when everything comes together is the most rewarding part of what I do! Together with my sister, Brooke, we ensure your wedding flowers exceed your expectations.

We used Bloomin' Wild for both our wedding ceremony and one-year anniversary celebration - they are great to work with. Amy and Savannah were communicative throughout the process and said yes to all of my requests. They brought my vision to life for both celebrations and the flowers were beautiful. Using local small businesses for our wedding was extremely important, and Bloomin' Wild was really great. I would recommend them if you are getting married in the Chestertown/Rock Hall area.

Our goal is to make planning your event as stress free as possible. We will take your vision and execute it into a beautiful event. We treat everyone like royalty and pay close attention to detail. We also specialize in customizing anything for your event such as custom backdrops, custom party decorations and so much more."

This was easily the best decision I made for the wedding. The flowers these wonderful ladies put together for me went above and beyond my dream of having rich, jewel colors. I was very happy I'd be able to keep my bouquet, going for silk flowers and they've become a lovely decoration in my house to remember my wedding. The centerpieces were masterful and I'm so happy with how they turned out. The arch was perfectly decorated and the boutonierres for my husband and groomsmen were exactly what I'd hoped for. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for coming to set everything up for us! I seriously can't thank you enough!

A premier floral design studio: From special event arrangements to everyday bouquets, Fleur De Lis creates one-of-a-kind floral designs brimming with elegance, style, and whimsy. Whether you shop our work online or create a custom order, every stem has been specially sourced and assembled with passion; for the art of floral design and devotion to our client's vision.

I had received a floral arrangement from Fleur de Lis before we got engaged and I had noted how beautiful and elevated it was, so when it was time to look at wedding florists, Lana (the owner) was the first one we called. Our consultation went so well - I was not 100% sure what I wanted, but showed some Pinterest inspiration and Lana asked all the right questions and showed us options on tabletop decor, flowers for the arrangements and bouquets/boutonnieres. We left feeling so confident and excited to receive the proposal - which we received super quick and signed immediately - we were so impressed with all of the details and pricing was very in line with what we were hoping for (we got married during Christmas time and the club was already going to be heavily decorated, so we didn't need as much as a bare venue would ). Some wedding florists in the area won't even talk with you unless you can meet a high $ minimum - Lana is not that way. She and her awesome team will provide the best service and the highest quality product for every single customer - which says a lot! On to wedding day... through all of our interactions, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of - which was an amazing weight off my chest! The team showed up and set everything up well before it needed to be, and when we got our bouquets, I wanted to cry happy tears - they were PERFECT and everything that I had hoped they would be. The flowers were stunning, fresh, and such high quality. Everything was arranged and put together so well and they lasted and stayed beautiful all day. The boutonnieres, grandmother's corsage, and mother's mini bouquets were also perfection. During the cocktail hour we did a first look at the reception area and again, it was perfect. Tabletop decor, florals, candles, votives, etc. was everything we discussed and more. We could not have been happier to have Fleur de Lis as our florist on our wedding day - Lana and her team truly deliver, and we SO appreciate everything they did to make our day beautiful and special - THANK YOU!

    Blossom Bliss

Located in York, PA, Blossom Bliss is a homegrown floral design company run by Kristen Adams. Specializing in unique floral installations + wedding day florals, Kristen and her team bring artistry and a fresh, organic style to your special events.

Kristen and the entire team at Blossom Bliss are incredible. Even from the very first intro call, Kristen's expertise, passion and kindness were apparent – and that remained true throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was responsive and worked closely with us to make sure our proposal was exactly what we wanted it to be. But most importantly, the way Kristen and her team brought our vision to life on our wedding day left us absolutely speechless (literally had no words when we first saw the reception space). The arrangements that she created were stunning, BEYOND anything that we even envisioned. Her work really pulled the entire event together, and so many guests commented on the incredible tablescapes as well. Also, I love that Blossom Bliss donates all remaining flowers (I believe they go to nursing homes and/or local hospitals if I'm remembering correctly). Knowing that the flowers were going to put a smile on someone else's face, rather than get thrown away after the wedding, brought a lot of joy. I highly, highly, highly recommend hiring Blossom Bliss for your event. You will not be disappointed!
