The pavilion was uniquely designed and hand-crafted by friends & neighbors. The elegant bridal suite is spacious with over 1000 sf of space, private bathroom, & hair and makeup stations. There is a full commercial caterer's kitchen, public bathrooms, and grooms suite. The open but covered grand hall is 6000 sf with 2 huge chandeliers, Edison string lights, post lights, and a huge rock fireplace. There are also motorized curtains on the west side that can be closed or opened with a touch of a button. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.
